Meltdown

Blitz walked his way toward Collins and his gang of cronies, bothering Madeline Thorpe to the highest level of annoyance. Collins and his cronies were laughing, mocking her.

The boy felt more surges of electricity within him. He could see the electric currency had reached to his feet, which had touched the ground. He could also see electricity from his feet touching the ground as they made their way entering the small cracks within the stone-like street. His power grew larger in him, rage increasing it.

"'Hey Blitz." said a voice causing the boy to stop.

"Kassick was there. In his black overcoat and trousers with the same color. Boots with leather straps on them. He folded his arms as he grinned toward the boy. His scar forming a larger smile on the left side of his mouth. Blitz had a straight expression toward the scarred man. He still felt the electricity engulfing him.

"Found your brother yet? Or Jacobi?":

"It'll have to wait. I have to help someone"

So serious, Kassick thought as he saw Madeline from a distance. "That girl over there? I think I can see why.” He unfolded his arms, putting them in his pockets. "You need help? I don't have anything to do now. Made some money with Hammond and the others, but they were demanding as hell. Asking me to always stick to the plan, so I ditched them. Decided to be freelance. I won't ask payment from you. Don't worry."

Blitz looked at the sight of Maddie being bothered by the boys at the school, then turned to Kassick. He nodded at the man.

"Wait." said Kassick approaching the boy. "Take this. You might need it". He gave an object to the boy what seemed like a revolver. The revolver was mostly in black, but it retained a silver color on its handle. Blitz put it in his pocket.

"You go around back and surprise them from behind. I'll give them the opening welcome."

Kassick said as the boy nodded and went around the back of the school. He lowered his flat cap downwards before approaching the kids at the school.

"If you don't leave me alone I'll tell the teacher on you!", Maddie said to Collins who was poking her.

"Make me Thorpe", Collins said he pushed her to the ground. She let out a yelp of pain when she made contact with the ground. ""Aw is the little girl gonna cry to her mommy?". He laughed along with his crew. They stopped as they saw a man appear with a flat cap and overcoat.

"Hello there." Kassick said with his usual deep and grunge voice. He brought his head up for the kids to see. He grinned as his scarred mouth began to show. The boys that were previously bullying Maddie were now cowering in fear, frozen in fear. Maddie distanced herself from the man, as he was glaring at Collins and his friends..

"Wonderful day we're having isn't it? Ah yes. A time where you boys bother an innocent girl" Kassick said now hovering over the kids. They saw his clenching first, while other bystanders started to watch the scene unfolding. "You like hurting people do you?"

"Wait a minute mister! That girl isn't as nice as she seems!" Collins said. "She stole my money while I wasn't looking. Her and her friends!"

"He's lying!" Maddie pointed her finger at Collins. "I didn't do such a thing"

"Well, as bad as that sounds like, you've harmed a girl. A girl who is the friend of....a colleague of mine"

"W-who?" asked one of the boys before Kassick pointed at Blitz

The boy widened his arms, showing his hands before walking straight to them. He stopped at a distance between them. Fists clenching tightly as electrical surges went up his body.

"Blitz?" Asked a now , surprised Collins, but grew frustrated. "What are you doing here?"

"You hurt Maddie. You...must be punished. Get what you deserved", Blitz said taking the revolver out and pointing it to the boy. Soon all of the kids took notice of the scene unfolding.

"He has a gun!" said one child as everyone else screamed in terror and went inside. Kassick picked the boy up by the back collar of his uniform and held him up

"I'll hold him up for you Blitz. Now shoot the pig!". Kassick exclaimed with a grin, picking up Collins with a single hand. Collins was filled with terror now. Blitz began to hold the revolver up to Collins. The barrel of the gun pointing at him now.

"Blitz no!", Maddie said, pulling his arm away. "It doesn't have to be like this. You can't shoot him!"

"Why!?" he glared at her. I’m trying to defend you! That sentence was stuck to his mind.

"Because that makes you a bad person! What will your parents say about you when they see you like this."

Blitz froze in place.

He was dead now. No longer he felt electricity pumping inside of him. He looked at Maddie, who looked into his eyes. They weren't filled with anger anymore, but sorrow and despair.

The feeling of being lost flooded his soul.

"Blitz...I", Maddie said as she began to understand his silence. "I'm so sorry, I didn't know that-" She was interrupted when he screamed at the top of his lungs.

His screams were piercing loud, stopping everyone on the streets, stopping what they were doing and looking at the angry boy. He felt his eyes burning. Slowly walking away as he closed them. He felt electricity upon in his body once more. It grew bigger and more violent than usual. He had no control over them, as the electricity started to scatter further.

"Blitz...?"

"Stay away from me Maddie! You'll get hurt by the electricity!"

What electricity? Maddie thought as she only saw Blitz holding his head tightly while walking around in circles in utter panic and fear, screaming about.

"What's that?" Kassick asked Collins who looked at him whilst being held by the man. He grinned and turned to Blitz. "Hey Blitz, Collins here said he knows where your brother is!"

""What!? No I- '' Collins attempted to speak but was approached by Blitz, who stopped in his tracks. The boy glared at Collins, and threw away the gun before approaching Collins. He stopped, before taking out Little Oliver's picture

"Where is he?" Blitz asked. Collins was on the ground, facing Blitz’s face.

"I don't know who that kid is."

“Lie! Where is he!? WHERE!"". Blitz yelled, grabbing Collins by the collar. "Where's my brother!?"

"There he is!" said a voice whom Blitz turned to see where it originated. His eyes widened at the sight of several guards looking at him.

"That's far enough. You're coming with us, and the wanted Blightworth patient Kassick"

Blitz let go of Collins who made a break for it. He had his hands up as Kassick ran past him.

"Fat chance", said Kassick as he took the dropped gun and fired at the guards, hitting 2 of the 5 that were there. He soon ran after.

Blitz followed suit, ignoring the fact that the guards are after him. He had sights of the running scarred man, clear as day

The man passed by various people, bumping into them and passing them as Blitz made his way through the crowd. Kassick had the gut feeling that the boy was still chasing him, and looked briefly behind.

He grumbled deep within as he stopped midway in his running, and turned his gun, pointing at Blitz.

The boy's eyes grew large at the sight of the barrel of the gun pointing at him, before a large bang was heard. He had ducked, he checked his body for any signs of injury. No sign of a bullet wound. Then the screech of a bystander pierced his ears, and soon the boy turned to see someone dropped down.

With a bullet wound on a woman's back.

Her white blouse was now ruined with a bullet hole, blood staining her clothes as she fell to the ground. Her bag that was previously held by her was let go, and dropped on the ground as well. Blitz froze in place once more as he noticed several people rushing towards the woman's aid, and turned to see Kassick had run off.

"Oh no.” Blitz mumbled to himself just before he turned to see a man with glasses looking at him.

"Hey you! Wait!" He said approaching Blitz but the boy ran off. He ran as fast as he could away from the scene and back to chasing Kassick

Blitz saw the man he was chasing going through an alleyway and the boy followed as the man kicked open the valve of a pipe stuck on a building. The pipe emitted steam which blew in Blitz's face, with the boy shrugging it off and continuing running from him. He stopped in a circular area which seemed like an open field in the middle of a neighborhood, consisting of some homes.

"Kassick!" yelled Blitz looking left and right before scanning the roofs of the houses. His ears perked up at the sound of boots touching the ground. He turned to see the scarred man wielding a knife in his hands.

"I help you get to Bentham and this is how you repay me.", Kassick said. "You had one job, Blitz. One job. Which was to beat the shit out of that kid that harassed your lady friend or kill him"

"It's wrong!"

"Really now? You're willing to justify that because of some girl you just met? Pity." Kassick shook his head. "How are you going to get your brother from Jacobi if you can't hurt some kid?

"Shut up!"

"Make me Blitz. Come on."

Blitz opened his right hand as he saw it emitting an electric ball and he plunged toward Kassick. The boy felt all of his might of electricity come up his body as he began to make his electrical fist come into contact with the scarred man.

"Heh" was all Kassick said as he swerved to the right causing Blitz to fall down. The boy looked enraged and proceeded to use the same tactic, but his opponent swerved in order to avoid it.

Blitz screamed once more. He thrusted both of his hands to his back, electrical veins up his body before delivering an electrical fist..

"Nope!", said Kassick using his elbow to hit the boy in the stomach. Blitz screeched in pain but he held it through, but he was picked up by the collar. His opponent grinning in what seemed like victory, before he was thrown onto the ground. Blitz shook his head and held his hand toward Kassick

Nothing.

"What's going on?", Blitz wondered why there was no electricity from his hands now. "Come on!", He shook his hand unbeknownst his opponent was watching. "What's happening!?"

"You don't get it do you?"Kassick said as he lunged forward and hitted Blitz with the handle of his knife, before using his left hand to grab the boy by the neck and pin him to the ground.

"Do you seriously think you got powers just because you were put in an electric chair for months? No, no you didn't. Every time you think you were powerful, it was just a fantasy of yours. It's all in your head, Blitz!"

He then picked up Blitz once more before throwing him against a wooden cart, it slightly broke due to the force he pushed the boy through it. Blitz was in pain. His eyes closed and his body laid there on the ground.

All in my head? he thought before the next came that the view was darkness.
