The team patroled out to a steep rugged mountain. Bringing sleighs was out of the question. More importantly, was to get everybody safe across.
Andres sat eating jerky, "Why don't we split up into small teams and assign the gingers to each of us? Me and Logan already did team leader course. We can lead a small team together".
"Will that work?" asked Dani.
Logan clarified, "Just put us in charge of them and keep us close".
"Would yall be okay with that?" asked Jeff.
Andres smirked, "Maaan, this is easy.
Jeff began counting, "Well, me and Dani can just take roughly 15 each and break them into smaller teams".
Logan corrected him, "You've been doing that. But you're not skilled enough to do it effectively. That's why many keep dying".
Jeff nodded before making a final decision.
Andres was to lead Logan with 10 gumdrop minions as team 1, the security element. They were to lead the way over the mountain and conduct reconnaissance.
Dani formed team 3, the assault unit, with Vanessa, Leira, and 13 gingerbread men. Dani and Leira's long-ranged abilities made them suited to deal lethal attacks. Vanessa suited well in this team to keep them protected from all up-close attacks.
Lastly, there was team 2 which contained Jeff, Mina, Jaivva, and 10 gingerbread men. They were to remain in between the other two teams. This was the headquarter team. Jeff was able to communicate well with the other two teams and support them when necessary. When he was done organizing everybody, Jeff ordered Andres to lead the way up the mountain.
Their climb was filled with elves and snowmen attacking. Andres managed to lead his team pretty well to take out most of the threats. He and Logan managed to counter all ambushes. Never once did they depend on one of the other teams to help them.
After many hours trailing the mountains, Team 1 came to a mountain peak on the other side where they were able to view the forest.
Upon finding an enemy base out in the open Logan utilized his advanced sight abilities to look downs into the forest. It wasn't big nor far. An easily accessible area with a few guards. It didn't take much to realize this was obviously a trap.
Andres signaled their findings to Jeff who insisted that they push through for the win. Logan couldn't help except believe that this was a dumb plan and that further reconnaissance was needed.
Andres tapped Logan's shoulder, "Kamikaze it is".
Andres had led his team down the mountain until they were near the enemy base. Team 2 remained close by Team 1 with Team 3 not too far.
Andres signaled Jeff, letting him know they were near the base. Jeff wobbled his way over through the snow and sat down next to Andres. There was no hill nearby for Dani to utilize and the mountain peak was too far and risky to place her there neither.
Jeff ultimately settled with a plan to push Team 1 through the base while Team 2 sets up a hasty defense position outside. Upon gaining intel of the base, they will call for Dani to nuke the remaining enemies. It was a solid plan for Jeff. One that Logan found to be mediocre, but didn't argue.
