Chapter 21: His Secret

The Chancellor peered through his side of the oval shaped window of the airplane as he admired the sea blue colour of the ocean beneath them and its clear atmosphere. Strapped to his seat with his legs crossed, his lips came into contact with a flute of white wine.

“Are we there yet?” he questioned the adult female pilot who controlled the control panel of the airplane with a monotonous tone.

They had been flying in the air for approximately three hours now. The thought of them touching land soon filled him with unease. He pinched the bridge of his nose as he stared into the thin air revolving around him. Thoughts of the core reason why he left the Capital to see her without the knowledge of his Council members seeped through his mind. Nobody knew that he kept her alive after all those years. He was playing with fire by keeping her alive.
