"So, what are we going to do about their files?"

It seems they're talking again, and about something useful at that. I continued moving around the kitchen while I listened carefully to their conversation.

"Ah yes, the files. Not once did they ever ask for some kind of insurance should they ever go down, but now that they have one, they could use it as blackmail instead. We need to take it back. The question is how."

"Well, we could just send guards over there to arrest everyone and seize the papers."

"Fool. I wouldn't trust those papers with anyone, plus we would lose a nice source of income. Besides, we would need a valid reason to go there in the first place, and they do a good job at not giving us any."

"What about sneaking in?"

"Do you have any idea how many Reapers there are? They'd catch us for sure."

"Well how do you think we should get the files back? Knowing that they're hidden in the bosses office behind some secret door, how would you get the files back?"

"I don't know..."

It seems like the Reapers have some sort of file that proves that these guards are a part of the deal. If I could get those files, I'd have the proof I need to ruin their reputation and stop them from allowing gang wars for good.

Having all the information I need, I try to quietly sneak out of the kitchen, but being an impressive worker makes it particularly hard. As soon as I neared an exit, one of the main chef's called out to me.

"Hey, where are you going? You are our best helper. We need you to stay and help. I'll make sure you get a nice paycheck, so keep working hard."

"I'm sorry chef, but I need to use the restroom."

"Oh, well I guess that's okay. Just be quick about it."

"Yes chef."

After our brief exchange, I made my way out of the kitchen and managed to sneak out of the large restruant. Once I got outside, I slipped my white mask back on and hopped back up onto the rooftops. Looks like I'm heading back to the Reapers base. I hope I didn't destroy the files when I destroyed their base with a large bean sprout.

Hopping from rooftop to rooftop, I quickly made my way over to the Reapers base, hopping down once I arrived. The bean sprout was just as I'd left it, far up in the sky. Bringing my eyes back down, I hopped in the building through one of the cracks in the wall left from my destruction. The inside was both a beautiful but slightly scary sight. If I had to compare it to something, it would be the end of the world, when humans were long gone and nature took over what we left behind.

Thick roots and stems were everywhere, filling the halls and littering the floor. If I had to guess, I would assume the boss's room would be on the top floor. There were several holes in the ceiling where thick stems growing upwards had crashed through, making for a perfect opportunity to jump up to the next floor. I kept doing that over and over until I arrived at the top floor.

Okay, now I just need to find the room.

Most of the rooms were small, crowded, and filled with plants. I kept searching until I found one room different from the rest. Like the other rooms it was filled with plants, but unlike the others rooms, it was filled with lavish decorations and a single desk sat in the room along with a chair. A beautiful chandelier hung from the cracked ceiling, reflecting the sunlight beautifully.

After taking a single moment to admire the dazzling sight, I began to start looking for the hidden room that the files would be hidden in. In only a few moments, I examined every inch of the room, quickly finding the hidden room I was looking for. It's locked, but that won't stop me. I pull the hidden door off with my immense strength when suddenly time slows down for me.

It seems the hidden room had a trap to go off if it was forced open. I watched, instant by instant, as a fire began to errupt within the hidden room. I can't afford to let the documents get damaged at all. I need them. I instantly reach for a strong and freezing gust of wind and force it into the hidden room. Losing its heat, the fire went out before any damage could be done, but the files were scattered about by the strong wind. Before they could fly away, I snatched them out of the air and put them safely away.

Finally, I have all I need. Now all I have to do is present this to the noble that runs the city. If anyone can do something, it would be him.

If I remember correctly, Kelly and I had a conversation about the noble. I remember that she mentioned that his mansion was at the far west of the city. She said it was because he liked to watch the sun rise from the east over the city he built.

A beautiful image, but not important. What's important is getting over there as soon as possible so we can put an end to the guards corruption.

Jumping out of the large window that faces the rising sun, I landed on the rooftop of the building just across the street, and straight away began jumping from rooftop to rooftop towards the mansion.
