Falling Into His Arms

"But it's okay. It's not like we were friends or anything, anyways. How did you recognize me?" She spoke, sulking. Which Jiah found funny.

"My memory is amazing, and I was with her when you gave her a love letter."

"Oh... but is she in the city just passing?" Minjee bit her bottom lip, clearly anxious.

"We're going to be around for a year, probably. Maybe more. We don't know yet, once we literally just came out of the airport."

"I'm still shocked that she has a son now... how old is him?"

"Seven. In Korean age, eight! But don't think he has an eight-year-old mind, that kid is a freakin' genius, way more than his mom," Jiah giggled.

"Then, is she married?"

Jiah laughed and said straightforwardly, "Nope. Why? Are you interested?"

Minjee gasped. "No! I'm dating. It was just a shock seeing her after all those years and with a son. He even looks a little like someone I know, but I must be crazy. I'm still shocked, she came in like a storm."

Jiah held her breath and nodded, giving Minjee her papers signed. "Glad to see that you're dating. Anyways, I have to see my brother and my parents!"

She left and Minjee found herself dumbfounded.

Tae-tae didn't run like his mother. He was worried but composed and walked until he reached his uncle's room, but was stopped by an old lady with long black hair and golden eyes. Probably one of his grandma's friends.

"Yes, ma'am?" He asked and the woman gasped when she saw the kid's features.

"What's a kid like you doing in a hospital? Do you know whose room you are trying to enter?"

The old man, who's probably with the old lady, with black wavy hair and brown eyes asked, like the woman, he was dumbfounded when he saw the kid's face.

"Of course, I know! Choi Mo-ri is in here! And I not only know him, as he's also my uncle." He stared at the woman hand's on his shoulder, as if asking silently for her to take her hands off him and she got it.

"Who's your mother, kid? Is it Jiah?" She old woman asked.

"What?" He chuckled sarcastically.

"Of course, not. Aunt Jiah can't even take care of herself, imagine of me! Where did you take that from? My mom is Choi Ae-ri, the youngest lady of the Choi family. The same who came here minutes ago. You must have seen her coming in like a storm, did you not? Now, is there someone inside the room, or can I enter?"

The doctor opened the door and look down, right at Tae-tae's eyes, shocked to see a kid there. "And who are you, kid? What's your name and what's your relationship with my patient?"

Tae-tae sighed annoyed and stared at the doctor's face.

"Are you Dr. Park Sunghae?" The doctor nodded, dumbfounded. "My name is Choi Tae-Young. My mother is Choi Ae-ri, and that makes me your patient's nephew. Are you done with the questions? Can I see my uncle now?"

Without waiting for an answer, he rushed right inside the room. Anxious to see his uncle.

When Aeri entered, her mom was sleeping calmly but she could see that she had some broken ribs, both her arms broken as well as her left leg, and she was full of bruises on her face. It was painful to see her like that. She kissed her mom's forehead and whispered an apology to her, for not being here when that happened, for not being able to come to her rescue right away.

Aeri felt her body heavy but she stayed strong and then she headed to her dad's room the faster she could, still oblivious to everyone in the hospital but her and her family. When she entered it, there was a doctor putting a sedative in the serum her dad was taking, which made her more worried.

"Are you miss Choi Ji-ah or miss Choi Ae-ri?" The doctor asked, noticing how she looked like Mr. Choi Hyeon-Jung.

"I'm Aeri, his youngest daughter. Are you his doctor? Is dad still in a bad state?" She asked the woman who was half a head taller than her and looked more like an idol than a doctor.

"I'm your dad and your mom's doctor, my name is Young Ji-Hye. And to be honest with you, both your parents and your brother are in a bad state, miss. Your brother is the most worrisome of them, but both the three of them are recovering well after the surgery."

"All of them passed through surgery?"

"Yes!" Dr. Young noticed that she became paler than she already was when she came in and became worried about the girl's state, she looked very sick.

"When will... when will they...." and then Aeri fainted.

She would have fallen to the ground if it wasn't for the guy who had just come into her mom's room and held her before that could have happened.

Seojin was still trying to process the accident.

He had become closer and closer to Choi Hyeonjung and Choi Yunhee in the last year. They already knew each other because his parents were friends with them, but he, himself, wasn't very close to them. He was never close to any of his parents friends, to be honest.

They were the ones who reached him, and called him to have dinner with them. Then they talked about the fact that he had studied with their daughter his whole life, except for college, which he didn't know, once he didn't remember that at all, but he didn't say that to them. Otherwise they could get upset, or even offended.

When they showed him the girl's photo, he recognized her right away. It was the girl with whom he had had his first time, the red-haired fairy who left him feeling guilt and dumbfounded, seven years before that, at that time. And with just that, he started to get close to them. Befriending and also trying to know about the red-haired girl, who had disappeared.

He learned that she had left for the USA just a week after they slept together, and that was enough for him to remember that she indeed said that she was getting out of the country in no time when she yelled at him, in the last time he saw her.
