Here and there... Everywhere you can see, blood splattered on the ground, corpses of those who fought for their beloved land, but is not fortunate enough to survive.
Hundreds and thousands of people suffering from bruises and others who cried like there is no tomorrow. Sadness filled the land like happiness faded. Everyone felt nothing but sorrow as they see each other holding their dead loved ones.
But then comes two women who escaped the tragedy and went to a hidden part of the empire.
"Are you really sure about leaving the empire? What if the princess commands the cavalry to search for you?" An old woman dressed in a long gray dress, filled with blood, asked the other young one while looking around.
"The queen knew about what my plan is. She let me be, because she knows what my real motive was." The young one wearing an armor answered, making the old woman nod as they both opened their palm in front of them. Light escaped from their hands and in front of them, emerged an oval shaped portal with a white, spiral-like thing inside.
"I hope that this is the best solution for this problem of ours." The old woman said, as they scampered inside the portal, afraid to be seen by anyone.
As they move inside the portal. They felt a bit dizzy and felt like puking, so they both closed their eyes and just let them be thrown somewhere, far from where they came from. A minute had passed when suddenly, they fell from the portal to a place where they don't recognize.
"Where are we?" The young woman asked as they both look at their surroundings. Tall buildings that they haven't seen before. Unlike in their past place, this structures were far too high up in the sky about to touch the clouds as it may seem.
Also, it is almost close to each other about to touch each others walls, while in their past place, their is a three meter distance between their houses.
"I haven't seen this place before." The old woman said as they try to stand up and walk slowly. "What do we do now?" She asked, unsure if it was the right thing to say or not.
"We find shelter." The young woman said.
"But how can we afford to? We don't have anything besides this clothes of ours."
"You are wrong with that... Cause I have this." She held up a little sack and shook it. There they heard some clinking sounds that made them smile from ear to ear.
"You really do know how to keep up with this kind of situation, do you?" The old woman asked, making the young one giggle.
"I won't be in the cavalry for nothing." She said, and after a little chit-chat, they started to walk out from that area and searched for an exit.
When they did, they were amazed to see crowds of people, wandering around the streets, smiling, laughing, talking to each other like there's no tomorrow. That made them think weirdly.
"From my perspective, it looks like they are not in trouble at all." The young woman asked.
"Should we warn them about the turmoil that is about to face them?" Old woman asked but got a shooking head as an answer. "If you say so, by the looks on their faces, seems like nothing bad is about to happen at all." She said and they continued walking.
They walked and walked around, but couldn't find a perfect place to stay. But even if so, they still kept on walking, until everyone around them started to look at them like they are somewhat different. At first, they didn't mind at all, but when someone approached them, they tried to escape from its sight.
"Whatever happens, don't look back and just keep on running." The old woman said and they both turned into an alley, they tried to catch their breath, but was of no use.
"Shouldn't we use our magic to protect us."
"Too dangerous if you ask me. This place... Something I had never seen before... Never in my whole life."
"I know right? No magic auras in them... All I see is just pure blood and air." The young woman said as she breath heavily.
"Hello?" They both heard a voice of a man, making them look at each other and talk telepathically. "Is somebody here? Hello? I'm not here to hurt anyone... I'm here to help. Is there something wrong? Hello? Answer me please?" It said in a scared but worried voice. "Hello-"
"You stop right their!"
"Oh shit! What the fu-"
"Not another word young lad, or this dagger will pierce through your neck." The old woman said in a serious voice, making the man shake in fear.
"Please don't hurt me... I'm just here to help." He said, begging and raised his hand up.
"What are your other intentions aside from following us?" Young woman asked.
"I am telling the truth... I saw you guys, lurking around here like... I don't know. Well, you seemed kinda confused to where you were going, so I followed you and... Your clothes was the very first thing that I noticed, so I thought you were, you know... Actors and the likes? Who got lost and-"
"What are actors?" The young woman asked confused.
"You don't know what actors are? Come on, even those living on the mountains knew what they are-"
"Just answer my daughter or you will have your last breath today." Blackmailed the old woman.
"Okay! Okay! Actors are those who perform on stages, who sings, dances and the likes." He answered, sweat started to drip from his head.
"Oh... He meant about performers, mother." The young woman explained making the old woman nod in just agreement.
"Still, we need to be cautious around here, we don't know this place and all this people around, mostly for someone like him." She said and pointed her sword right at his neck.
"Mom... Why don't we give him a chance, hmm? He might help us get to know more about this land." The former said, making the latter bow down and apologize. The young woman smiled at she look at the man. "So, can you help us find a place to sleep?" She asked.
"Sure I can, but the thing is... Your clothes." They both looked at each other with a questioning gaze as they both think what the young man mean. "I mean, that's not the clothes we people wear here, so... If you are from another country, then that could be an exception. But still, you need to change." He explained and the two woman didn't hesitate and let the man do what he wants to help them.
