Chapter 2: Misunderstandings

"Oh my goood!!! This is so very very awesome! No, amazing! No, excellent! Ohhh, I can't find the right word to express how my heart heats up today!" A manager, age on mid 30's of a dress shop said as she bounces from right to left while clapping loudly. Her shoulder length blond hair bounces with her. "This feeling only comes once in a lifetime, but this? I feel like I'm about to explode from happiness!" When the old woman heard about the word explode, she immediately held her swords and pointed it at the manager making her flinch. "Oh shit! What is that? Did I do something wrong? Please don't hurt me." She said and put her arms in front of her, defending her face. "Please! I am too young to be killed!" She knelt and plead.

"Whoa! Easy there, what is wrong with you?" The young man asked as he held the old womans hand to put the sword away.

"She said something about an explosion, so I am guessing she is plotting something wrong?" She answered, still looking at the manager with a death glare.

"Are you freaking kidding me?! It was just an expression... She didn't mean an actual explosion." The man explained, theb comes the young woman already dressed in a new clothes.

"Hey, what is going on here?" She asked as she looked confused about the scenario she just entered to. "Mom! Why are you holding your sword like that? And why are you blocking her?" She asked with a knitted eyebrow.

"Well your mother just nearly killed this innocent manager here, just because of a little misunderstanding." He answered and when he saw the girls dress, he was flattered. "Wow! You look beautiful in that dress." He said making the girl blush.

She just wore a simple white dress with a ribbon on the right hip and the dress is long enough to cover up unto her knees. At the chest part, was diamonds that glitters when hit by a light making it more beautiful because of her pale white skin.

The man just looked at her in awe while the young woman just looked down while blushing. When the old woman noticed, she...

"Ok stop with the drama and let's go." She said and kept her sword away then started to walk away.

"Wait a second? How 'bout the bill?" The manager asked, making the women looked at her with knitted brows. "What? So are you trying to mess around with me? You need to pay for that clothes." She explained.

"Oh? Alright? How much is this then?" The young woman asked. The manager answered then she held the little sack out to get money. "Is this enough?" She said, giving three diamonds to the manager, making her and the young man as shocked as hell. "Is there something wrong?" She asked.

"Nothing... I mean, where did you get that diamonds? (gasp!) Did you stole it?! Where? Are you two criminals or what?"

"I'm gonna call the cops." The young man said and was about to get his phone, when the young woman asked what criminals and cops are. "Are you really a human or an alien? She's asking if you are some bad guys or not and... Cops are those who capture bad people and execute them." He explained.

"What?! We don't even hurt a fly! How could you say such a thing?" She asked while having a disappointed reaction. "We got this diamonds, because I worked hard for it." She continued.

"Still impossible... No country in the world will ever pay you with diamonds just because of work, unless your a mine worker and you kept that for yourself."

"But I'm serious... Our queen gave this because we protect our empire, and this is our salary." She said. The two looked at each other with a questioning expression as they thought of weird things.

"Ok, I will believe you with that one, so I will let you go... If you promise me one thing." The manager said. "Give me half of that diamond." She grinned under her breath.

"Ok... Just... Don't tell anyone about this, we clear?" The young woman asked making the manager nod, and as she walk towards the manager, the old woman blocked her way. "What is it mother?" She asked and trembled when she felt her mothers aura.

"Do you really want to be killed right here and now? Both of you?" She asked, glaring at the two, making them scared. "What kind of demons are you? Using your cavalry to seize money from us?" She asked about to brought out her sword again.

"Mother, c-calm down ok? Remember that we still don't know this place. They might be trying to plot something bad and lure us into their traps." The young woman said while lowering her voice. "Excuse me you two, but I think we really need to go before something bad happens. Here." She said as she gives four diamonds to the manager and leaves without a word.

When they both got out, they both let out a sigh.

"Mother, I didn't think, even for once, that you will loose yourself just because of being low tempered." She said while looking around.

"I just don't like their attitudes! I mean, where in the world are we even? Why did the portal take us here?"

"We might be new to this kind of place, but we will be used to it."

"I just hope so."

And just as when they are about to leave, the young man called out for them.

"What do you want this time?" The old woman asked, pissed about his appearance.

"Believe me or not, I'm not just like the manager over there. I... I just really want to help." He answered and bowed. "Sorry for earlier by the way. I was just shocked about those diamonds. I didn't think that you were telling the truth."

"It's alright... Just, please help us find a place to stay for like, forever?" The young woman said, making the man look at her with squinted eyes.

"May I ask a question? Where did you two came from?" He asked.

"Oh? We came from a place far away from this one. So I guess, no one knows where it is aside from us and the people of our homeland." The young woman answered making the man nod as an answer.

"Don't ask us more questions and just take us to our place." The old woman said, and they walked away, then the man stopped a taxi and took them to somewhere.

After a couple of hours, they all arrived at a two storey house and the man opened the gate. At first, the women where hesitant to go inside, but after hearing the mans words, they went inside.

"Welcome to my house. Here you can freely live the way you want with no one stopping you. But please, keep your swords away and anything dangerous, ok?" He said and tried to get the things he mentioned, but was of no use. "I guess that's a no huh?" He whispered to himself and led the two to the T.V. room. "Hi mom! I'm back." He greeted making everyone at the room glance at their way.

"Welcome home darling, how was your trip? Did you enjoy it? Oh! I guess we have visitors?" An old woman, wearing a pink t-shirt matching with a pink long pants, greeted them with a warm smile and got a hug from her. "Darling? Please introduce me to them. I am excited to know who they are." She said while looking at the young woman who is smiling awkwardly at her.

"Ah yes... They are new friends who would like to stay here for a month. They want to explore here in our city."

"Really? How sweet of you to come here. I hope you'll have a great time."

"Thank you for accepting us. Really such an honor. Please accept this for our gratitude." The old woman said and gave the other one five diamonds, making her shocked. "If you're ever wondering how we got it... Well, it is one of the monies of our land, so please accept this with no questions." She said and put the diamonds at the others hands.

"As much as I would like to accept your gratitude, I think I can't. Sorry, but that is just too much for me to keep. It costs more than a dollar here in our country, and in yours, is a money? How rich us your country?" She asked still shocked about what she heard.

"Our land is not rich to be precise. In fact, the reason why we fled is because of war. Everyone fights nonstop and everyday, corpses can be seen everywhere. My mother and I are just lucky to leave that place with the help of our queen." The young woman said while having a sad smile.

"Sorry to hear that. I didn't know-"

"Let's just not talk about it ok? We really don't wabt to remember such tragedy." The old woman said making the other nod.

"Darling, take them to their rooms, they must be tired. Let them rest for now." She said and the young man didn't hesitate to take them to their rooms on the second floor.
