Chapter 5: The Visit

After 1 year~

"Mother I'm kinda nervous about this." Danny said as he held his necktie nervously. He wore a navy blue suit paired with a navy blue necktie.

"Oh don't you dare! You look perfect in every angle, my son. She will love you just like how your father fell with me." She answered with a smile while brushing her son's black hair sideward right and leaving a bangs sidewards.

"I hope she says yes. I never knew that one day, I would do this for someone who i've just met a year ago." Danny said and looked at the little box he was holding shakily.

"Some things are just unpredictable my dear. Maybe today, you will meet as just strangers, but after a year a two, you will walk towards the altar with the vows you will keep forever. That is how life goes, and you also have to appreciate every day of your life, because we don't know when we will have our last laugh." Danny's mother again said as she finish up his hair. "There, you look so handsome dear. How I really remember your father in you." She said and tears started to fall from her eyes. Danny quickly held her and gave a tissue.

"Are you alright mother?"

"Yes, I'm just happy that... After all those years we have spent together, after all those years of waiting... You finally got your interest in women and met her." She answered making Danny smile.

"And I feel that she is the one." Danny answered. After readying up, they went downstairs just to find out that Mina and her mother left to go malling.

They didn't waste any time and quickly called a taxi to go to mall. When they arrived, they looked everywhere and they saw Mina's mother from a distance.

When Danny saw Mina, he froze. Her dress couples with his and she is so stunning making him more nervous.

"Go to her and tell her what you really feel." His mother said and he gulped before going near Mina.

"Ughm... Mina?" He called, unsire of what to do, then Mina looked at him with surprise.

"Danny? What are you doing here? Did somethibg happened again"

"No, it's nothing, I just... Ehem! Mina, there is something that I want to say to you, and I knew I should have told you these things a long time ago, but I was so shy and scared at the same time."

"What are you even talking about?"

"Mina..." He called and knelt with his left knee. "Will you please accept my proposal and be my wife?" He said nervously and cought everyones attention. Some of them even awed at what he was doing.

Mina and her mother was surprised by the sudden confession, and they didn't answer at first. Mina looked at her mother with a confused gaze as her mother blinked a few times. But as soon as she realized what her mothers face were showing, she smiled happily and faced Danny.

"Yes... Yes Danny! I would love to." She said happily and Danny wore the ring to her and they both hugged each other.

"Congratulations!" All of the other people greeted as they both thanked everyone. Then they had pictures ate with their mothers and went shopping. They also prepared everything for their wedding that day and it was perfect.

Two months later~

"Do you Danny, take Mina, as your lawfully wedded wife?"

"Yes, I do."

"And do you, Mina, take Danny, as your lawfully beloved husband?"

"I do."

"Then by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you, husband and wife... You may now kiss the bride." After the wedding, they had a huge party at their house with so many visitors who've attended. Some are friends, some are families. All of them congratulated the newly wed as they both have their dances and walked through the red carpet.

"I am so happy for you, my dear. You really have grown so fast, and I can't seem to imagine it." Danny's mother said as she wipe her tears of joy.

"Aw, don't worry mom, I promise you we'll not leave. We all promised to be together forever right?" Danny answered while holding his mothers hands.

"I gave you my blessing to take care of my daughter young man, so you better not disappoint me, or else you will be punished for it." Mina's mother said while holding her daughter near her.

"I already took an oath for it mother, so you can trust me on it." He answered confidently. Mina's mother nodded for this and smiled.

Another months had passed by and their life wasn't anything new. They still do what they want and what they like, no troubles so far. But one day, Mina became too moody and no one can change her. Sometimes she's too sweet, sometimes, they can't even talk to her.

"Mina, try to go see a doctor and go for a check up." Her mother said.

"What for mother? I don't have any diseases nor any bad symptoms." She answered.

"Listen to your mother dear. Maybe she's right. I can see that something is not right with you." Because of what the elderly told her, she went to her room and took a bath, then she wore a plain white dress paired with a white shoe. She braided her hair and went down with her wallet and cellphone.

"I'm leaving now, if you ever need something, just tell the maids ok?" She said and without further adieu, she walked out of the house and called a taxi. "Take me to the nearest private hospital." She said and within thirty minutes, they already arrived at the destination. "Thank you." She said and went out.

When she got in the hospital, she went to the attendance table and wrote her name with it. Then she waited to be called, not a minute when she has been, theb the doctor checked her. Asked some questions which she answered honestly and again waited for the results. When she got it, she was shocked, nervous but also excited, so she quickly went home to tell everyone the good news.

But when she got home, she was greeted by three men dressed with a cavalry uniform very familiar to her. And when she realized that this came from her homeland, she got scared. She quickly went inside the house to know what is actually happening.

"Hi, I'm home- Oh? Hello? What can we help you with?" She asked pretending to be innocent.

"We came here by the order of thy majesty. The queen of the Empire of Dawn." One of the mean said and she got really nervous with what she heard.

"What is thy message to us?" She asked just in time when her husband went inside the house.

"What did I missed?" He asked and went near his wife.

"The queen sends her deepest regards about your life here. She said that if you already have a partner here, she will let you go, only for one thing." He said making the two look at him seriously. "Thy firstborn must be sent to the empire when reached to seven years of age and be trained to protect its homeland."

"No! That can't be real! Why would she do that?" Mina asked shakily as she almost collapsed.

"Calm down baby, everything must be just a misunderstanding... Right?"

"Thy queen demands thee to follow what she wants you to do. She also said that it's for the best of your child." He said and after that, they all faded in an instant.
