Danny was holding Daisy in his arms outside the house. He was so happy to see her firstborn with him. But as he went near the water of the pool, it suddenly moved like it was being controlled by something. At first, he didn't bother to check it, but after realizing that he is not imagining things, he looked at the baby. Here he saw how his daughter smiled with it's gum being seen.
"Aw, look at you. You look so adorable with your first smile." He said and touched Daisy's nose, but then the baby sneezed and the water raised up by itself. "Ok, that was weird." He said to himself and went inside the house to see if Mina is already done taking a bath.
It's been three months since the birth of Daisy and everything was perfect for them all. Not until the pool incident. So when Danny entered Mina's room, he saw her brushing her hair.
"Ugh... Baby? May I ask something? About Daisy?"
"What is it baby? Something bothering you?"
"Well... Not exactly, but..." Just as he was about to say what happened, Daisy's left chest started glowing a powerful red-oranged color, same as the sun starts to come out at eight.
They both stared at her with awe as Daisy smiled like there's no tomorrow. A minute had passed and the glowing started to fade, and after it went out, Daisy started to cry with her sweet little voice.
"Oh come here my little baby, momma's here, don't you worry." Mina said while readying her breastfeed. Daisy on the other hand calmed down and drank her mom's milk.
"So she also inherited your powers." Danny said, still can't believe what he saw.
"As what we saw, your right. But I still am confused as to why she glowed like that." She answered making them both confused.
"What happened here? We heard the baby cried." Both of their mother came inside without knocking and went near the baby.
"Mom, Daisy inherited my power!" Mina said while smiling, making them both surprised. "But I'm still wondering why she glowed like... I thought her heart glowed." Mina said making her mother confused.
"What's the color of the glow?" She asked.
"It was like the color of the sun. Red-orange, am I right, baby?"
"Yes you are. Another thing is, when we're both at the pool, the water kinda got controlled by something and I thought it was her, because she smiled."
"Oh no, this can't be good." Mina's mother said when she heard both the answers.
"Is there a problem mother?" Danny asked.
"Big big problem if you ask me. The thing that happened was not just a normal thing." She said making all of them serious. "That glow... I don't know how long it has been since I heard about it. But, your daughter has the blood of the powerful phoenix." She continued.
"And what is the problem with that mother?" Mina asked.
"The blood of the phoenix is as powerful as the power of the gods and goddesses... If I am not mistaken, it is the most powerful of all magic that we have in Aurora's Land... It must be controlled, because if not, it may cause great trouble for the Land and for others, especially the one who bares it." Mina's mother explained, making them frightened by what they heard.
"Can you please tell us more about what you know?" Danny's mother asked, unsure about their topic to be true.
"Oh I know it since I was a child... Everyone in Aurora's Land knew about the power of the phoenix. And it's been ages since the last barer of it was found. That's why everyone thought that is was just a myth, because up until now no one knows what it's true power has.
Some say that it came from the sky a long time ago, some say that it has been given by the gods and goddesses for people who has a sacred heart. Others say that it can control all the elements and that no one can beat it's barer.
But the most famous story of it was a tragic one. For the third barer of it was said to have become a bad person after having the power, because it can't control it."
"I am still confused as to why Daisy have to be a barer of something big... Is it a blessing or a curse?" Danny asked nervously as he held both his wife and daughter.
"The myth says that if one bares the powerful phoenix's magic, there might be a plot twist with it's life... Something big might happen in the future and she is the only one who can find out what that thing is." She answered.
"Don't worry baby, I will make sure that this power of hers will be controlled either way. And this will be a blessing for her and for all of us." Mina said and smiled when she saw Daisy sound asleep.
As years passed~
Daisy grew up to be a beautiful, strong and independent child. Her family supports her more than anything in the world, and she is now six years of age.
"Mom, is that story even real? It's more like a fantasy to me." She said while listening to her mothers story. When she was already four, Mina often tells her stories about her life and how they lived, and she would be delighted to hear it, but now, all she thinks is that everything wasn't real.
"Believe your mother, dear. Your dad met her by coincidence." Danny's mother said while smiling, making Daisy ran to her and sat on her lap.
"Really grandma? So is mother really not just a mere human but something else?" Daisy asked, still not satisfied with what she heard.
"Yes, she is... Your mother and your other grandma used to live in a place where magic exists." She explained. Making Daisy look at Mina's mother who is knitting a pair of sock.
"Whoa! Really? But how come I don't have anything special in me? Does that mean I didn't got my moms powers?" She asked disappointedly.
"Don't be sad my dear. On your seventh birthday, you will find out the truth about you, and trust me, for you will have the biggest twist in your life." Mina's mother said. This made the little girl smile.
"I can't wait to turn seven! Mom! Can I sleep now? So that when I wake up, it's my birthday." Mina laughed at her daughter being hilarious.
"Are you really that excited about it?"
"Yes mom, and I sometimes even wish to go to your real place to explore it, and maybe I can find my magic there, right?" Mina smiled, but inside her is a little bit of aching in her heart. She remembered what the queen instructed her, and even if she doesn't want to, she has to.
