Chapter 8: Fled and Back

"Mom, tomorrow is already my birthday! I am turning seven, and I'm really excited about the biggest twist grandma is talking about." Daisy said happily as she hugs her mother.

"Baby... Are you really that happy with it?" Mina asked sadly as she sees her daugter happily smiling while nodding her head. "Even if that twist will take you away from us?" She asked, making Daisy crunch her brows.

"What do you mean mom? I will be away from you?" She asked, just in time when her father came in. "Dad, mom said that on my birthday tomorrow, I will be away from you. What does she mean by that?" Making her father surprised. Danny, on the other hand, sighed after hearing what her daughter said.

"I think that thing can't wait anymore huh?" He said and sat down at the bedside. "Come here and let me tell you what your mommy means." He said and Daisy went near him, he held the child and sat her at his lap. "You already know about the secret of our family right? But that's not all there is to it."

"Doesn't it mean that there is something more to it?"

"Yes."

"Then what is that thing that your saying? How come that mother's reaction changed sunddenly after hearing me say that I want to go and explore that place?" Danny looked at Mina, and when she nodded, he looked at his daughter and smiled sadly. "It's because that place is not really a happy place that you want to visit."

"I'm kinda confused dad."

"He means that that place is not something like this." Mina said and paused.

"Of course it's not. All of them can use magics and powers there right?" Daisy said happily.

"Yes they do, but that place is filled with madness and sorrow." She answered, making the little girl crunched her brows. "The reason why we fled that place, is because war have been common. Everyday you hear nothing but anguish." She explained, making the girl scared. Daisy held his father's hand and hind in his chest.

"It's gonna be alright ok? Nothing bad will happen." He said and looked at Mina who is now about to burst into tears.

"I'm sorry baby." Mina said and went near her child to embrace her. "The truth is, you need to go to that place tomorrow." She said making Daisy surprised.

"No I won't!" She exclaimed and ran outside the house, and even if her parents were calling her, she didn't listen and just ran off.

She ran as fast as she can and stopped when she broke into tears. She couldn't believe that after all the years she lived, she's been living in lies. She thought that her mother's place was the beautiful thing that she could have, but she was wrong. The fact that she heard all of it coming from her parents directly, made her sad and mad.

"Why of all things?" She asked and sat down at one of the benches of the baywalk. He already reached the park and cried silently.

Meanwhile, at the house, Danny and Mina were worried about their child. They're not comfortable without her around, so they tried to search for her, but was of no use.

"What if she decided to leave because she was really angry? What if she doesn't come back?" Mina asked and tears started to fall down in her eyes.

"Don't worry baby, we will find our daughter and take her home, ok? Everything will be fine, I promise." Her husband said and kissed her on the head.

"Maids? Guards? Search outside the house, search everywhere. Please, find my grand-daughter. Even if night comes, if you still can't find her, then keep on looking." Danny's mother said and all the maids and guards followed. They all went outside the house to search for her.

At the park. Daisy still sats at the bench and watch the sun as it sets down. She also thought about going home, because it's gonna be late soon and her parents will be worried. But as she thinks about what happened earlier, she just gets irritated and wants to stay more, making her confused about herself of what to do.

"Hey there little one... All alone?" She heard a voice of a man behind her, but she didn't mind. Even if she thinks that the person might do her any harm, she just doesn't care anymore. "I can see that something is bothering you... May I know what it is?" He asked, but she didn't mind. The man smiled and sat beside the bench she is sitting.

"Please... Whoever you are or what your intentions might be, I just don't freakin' care. I'm not in the mood today, so please leave me alone." She said stand up, ready to leave.

"Sorry about that... Well then, I think it's time to go home to Aurora's Land, it's getting late and I don't want to be scolded by the prince HAHAHA! His magic seems to be a strong one so... Bye, have a great time." Said the man making her look back surprised. As the man was about to walk away, she halted him.

"Did you just mention something about magic? And Land of what?" She asked making the man smirk.

"Tell me, what is your name little one? And where are you from?"

"Why must you know? I don't have anything to share with you."

"Then that goes for me too. Adios!" He said, but the girl insisted.

"My name is Daisy Aurum and I am just a commoner at this place, so... How about my question? Care to answer?" She asked and raised a brow.

"Such a coincidence that you have the same name as the one I'm looking for. But anyways, It is our secret to not tell anyone about it, but since it's just a cute little girl like you, I can make an exception... Only if you promise me not to tell anyone about it hmm?" He said making Daisy nod in excitement. So he explained Daisy what his land were like and the little girl was shocked.

"You- You also live at my mother's place?!" She asked, making the man shocked, but soon turned into a mean smirk.

"What a lucky day this is." He said and went near the little girl. He whispered in the girls ears. "Soon enough, you will reign our empire and become one of us, for you are the chosen one to be the princess of the Dusk Empire." The man said, making her scrunch her brows.

"Excuse me-" After what she said, the man waved his hand in front of him, from left right and a black smoke emerged from his hand making her suffocate.

"See you at our land, I hope you'll still remember me... The name's Ahrin Tsugikuni, the brother of Prince Damian Dell's right hand." After saying those words, she collapsed and her eyes became blurry, while the man disappeared out of knowhere.

That's also the time when a guard from their house saw her and took her home with the others.
