Chapter 12: Who is the Firstborn?

"Hey! Daisy! Wake up, wake up! It's already eight in the morning!" Jaimey said while shaking Daisy as hard as she could.

"Five more minutes mom, I promise I'll wake up." She answered and lean the other way. Denying the former.

"Hey, there's some cute guys outside, so let's go play with them." Jaimey whispered.

"I don't care about boys, and you know that." Daisy answered, and when she realized that something was not right, she sat up straight and looked around. "Where am I? What do you want from me?" She said and hid herself behind the blanket, scared of what mind happen to her. "Somebody! Please help meee!!!" She screamed as loud as she could, making Jaimey cover her ears.

Daisy started to cry, and Jaimey doesn't know what to do.

"Hey, calm down will you? Can't you remember me? I'm Jaimey, twin of Mailey, right? Also, your sister." Jaimey explained.

"No! I don't have a sister! Where am I? Where did you take me? Please, I want to go home!" Daisy exclaimed, and Jaimey thought she can't do anything anymore, so she went downstairs to call everyone.

"What happened? I heard Daisy scream so loud." Mila asked confused, the other two waiting for Jaimey's answer.

"I don't know... All I did was to wake her up to play, but she doesn't remember me at all, I bet she doesn't remember you too." Jaimey answered and they all went back to Daisy's room to check her out. When they arrived, they knocked on the door and went inside. There they saw the young one, crying in fear and hiding from them.

"Baby, is there something wrong? Please tell me." Mila asked worriedly. "Your sister told us that you don't remember us at all. Do I have to remind you again as to why you're here?" She said and walked towards the bed. Daisy tried to hide away, but Mila held her by the head and patted her. "Shh... Everything will be alright, ok? The reason why you're here, is because you're the one who's gonna save us all. The queen is the one who brought you here to us." She explained and Daisy calmed down.

"I know how you feel my child. This is your first time here, far from your real family, but I know that you'll get used to it someday, ok?" Mila's husband said and they all went together for a group hug. Daisy smiled at this and looked at everyone.

"I'm sorry if I caused trouble this early... Especially to you Jaimey, I apologise for saying mean words to you." She said and Jaimey smiled happily.

"Oh??? Don't mention it, as long as we're together, nothing else matters." She smiled from ear to ear and after that, they all went back down to eat breakfast.

Meanwhile~

(At the castle)

"That's impossible to happen, my lord." General Frost said as he followed the king walk around the castle. "We all know that your son has been long gone, right? So how can you say that he's still alive? And does the queen and the princess know this too?" He asked consecutively.

"Yes, we all are thinking that maybe he's still alive." The king answered, making the general knit his eyebrows.

"I still don't get your point, your highness... What is your lead?" He said and the king stopped. He looked at the general with sad eyes.

"You may not know the real story behind it... Because we did not tell you so." He said. "On the night of his first birthday, as we're upon our deep slumber, someone secretly went inside our firstborn's room... Without any noise, they kidnapped him and scattered away like nothing happened.

It was too late for us to realize what happened... Everything was so fast, that even I didn't kept up.

Until now, we're still looking for him, even though we're thinking that maybe he didn't made it out alive there." He told and somehow, tears started to fall from his eyes, making him face the other way to wipe it.

"But even if so... Why did you kept on looking for him?" General Frost asked.

"Because, we can feel that he is still alive. Even the queen still feels her son breathing. She doesn't even feel pain in her heart, but sometimes, she feels like something is not right, making us think that maybe it is him doing something not right." He explained.

"That is a good news for everyone, my lord! I must tell the palace about this! They will be delighted to hear such news!"

"Hold your tongue general... For we've kept this secret for a very long time, and we don't want anyone to know about this hunch of ours." He said and the general bowed while apologizing.

"Pardon me for my words your highness, but I do have a question to ask... About the girl we brought here, what is her cause?" He asked and just in time when they arrived at the palace garden. The king sat down and motioned the other to sit down right across him. The latter followed as he was told and silence came between the two.

"At first, I didn't understand what she meant about that young lad... But after knowing that she was the daughter of my most trusted generals, I thought that she might be useful here, and she didn't let me down."

"May you please elaborate more? For me to understand what you mean."

"My wife told me that she might be the key for us to meet our son and the reason for giving peace and prosperity here in Aurora's Land." He explained.

"Wow! That was unexpected." The general said and blinked for a few times.

"I was also taken aback by what I heard at first, but when I saw her being firm and doing what she wants freely... I already believed in her." After hearing the kings answer, the general then changed the topic as to how they will protect the palace from their enemies.
