Chapter 13: A Weird Feeling

Somewhere at Aurora's Land

"Your majesty, I already found out where the young lady is." A man wearing an all black cloth with a cape on it's back said as he kneeled in front of the throne where a high honor is seated.

"What good news then! You really don't know how to disappoint me Xel... Now call Ahrin so he can keep an eye on her." The man sitting on the throne said. Xel then bowed and walked away to call Ahrin who is quitely watching the other cavalry spar with each other.

"Xel! My bronemy! What news do you bring fort?" He asked and put his arms around Xel's neck. The cavalry stopped and faced in their way, then bowed to pay respect, then after it... Went back to what they were doing.

"Tch! Can't you just be more mature? You always act like a child, and it irritates me." Xel said and puts Ahrin's hand away.

"Why do you always keep on saying that?" Ahrin pouted. "Besides... How could I change myself? I was born to be like this." He smiled like a child. "Sooo~ why are you here? I know that you would rather sleep all day in your room than come here just to chat." He said, making Xel exhaled unbelievably.

"The king has a new mission for you... He said that you need to keep an eye on that girl..."

"Really now? But I don't know where she is... All I know is that, the Celestial Empire planned to bring her here, but that's all I know."

"Tch! Will you please let me finish you dim witted blabber!" Xel said making the other silent. He just sighed at the others face as he saw him about to laugh. "I already found out where she is..."

"Where then?"

"She is at Northern Dawn, living like a normal being." He explained.

"Oh? Why would they deliver her here just to let her live as a normal person?" Ahrin asked and Xel just looked at the cavalry who is still sparring.

"You're the one who must find out why." Xel asked and started to walk away. Ahrin on the other hand went to the cavalry to spar with them, still thinking as to why the young girl was living that way.

Back at Northern Dawn

Daisy, together with Mailey and Jaimey went out to play. The weather is not that bad. In fact, the sky is not feeling that hot and it's not that cold either.

"Hey, who is that girl? I can't seek to remember seeing her here." One of the kids they met asked.

"She's new here guys, and she is our new sister." Jaimey answered, making everyone shocked.

"Don't tell me, she is one of those who were rescued by the Celestial Cavalry and was sent here to live another normal life?" Another asked, making Daisy confused.

"Let's not talk about that serious thing ok? How about... We play tag?" Mailey changed the topic to make everyone forget about what they were talking earlier. Aside from making a fuss, she doesn't want anyone to know the real reason bahind Daisy's stay at Aurora's Land.

They played tag, hide and seek and everything that they can think of, until they went tired and rested a bit. They all sat down, aside from Daisy who just kept on standing while leaning her back in an old oak tree.

"I can't believe that you can play like that Daisy... Your amazing!" The girl earlier said while catching her breath.

"Yeah! She's right... I can't believe that you can play non-stop too... Say, do you also play this kind of game in your place?" Another kid asked.

"Yeah... But I didn't experience playing with another kid until now." She answered making everyone surprised.

"What do you mean?" Mailey asked curiously.

"Well... Since I was a kid, I was kept inside the house... I don't go out, because my mother always use to say that the outside world is full of cruel, selfish, and horrible people." She said andooked at everyone. "The only one who'm I always play with are the maids and guards of our house, or sometimes, my family." She continued. "That's why I am feeling a bit weird about myself when I played with you... I felt something new." She said and held her left chest.

"Sorry to hear such thing..."

"Nothing to apologize."

"Your family must have had a sad past for making them overprotective with you?" A young man said while wiping his sweat. One of her friends by the way.

"Well, my mother used to be a general of this empire and her past seems to not go according to her wish, so... Yeah." She said making everyone silent. They still can't believe that someone as young as Daisy could have a tragic life this early.

"Say... If you were brought here, doesn't that mean that when you reach at your legal age, you need to go back to the palace and serve the king and queen, with their princess?" Mailey asked awared of everything.

"Maybe yes, maybe not." Daisy answered, making everyone look at her unbelievably. "It's my choice to make in the end anyway. They can't just order me around saying they're the king and queen."

"But you also know that you can't do anything about it right?"

"Your wrong if you think I am afraid of them." Daisy said and looked at the man who asked her, making him tremble in fear.

Her eyes is somewhat telling him to be careful with what he is saying.

"Hey! How about we play another game? I think we had enough rest." Mailey said, standing up to get ready. She realized what was happening, making her try to change the topic.

"Yeah, come on, let's play relay." Jaimey second the motion when she felt something bad.

Good thing it worked out somehow, making them both exhaled reassuringly.

As they were about to start playing, an old man suddenly appeared out of nowhere and begged for help, making then stop what they were about to do.

"Are you ok? You look kinda pale." Mailey said and went to the old man's aid. Looking worried, the others followed.

"I think he needs food and water, maybe he's hungry basing on his appearance." Daisy said, making everyone nod and went to their homes to get food, while Daisy, Mailey and Jaimey were left to take care of the man.

They might be helping him, but Daisy felt something that is not right. She looked around but saw no one, then she looked at the elderly. There she felt something odd, making her held her chest.

"Are you ok Daisy?" Jaimey asked, making Mailey look at her direction.

"Y-Yeah... I think I just didn't have enough rest earlier." She lied and sat down while looking at the old man.

A minute later, all of their friends arrived with some food and water, then they all ate with the old man happily, but alas, Daisy really felt unusual, making her unenjoyed.
