"Who gave you the permission to hurt him?" Daisy asked as she walk towards the bullied young boy. "Can you stand up?" She asked and the boy just looked at her with no expression, making her shocked to see his face drenched in blood and his lips had been bruised. "Do you know why they did this to you?" She asked and the young man just waved his head no.
She felt guilty about doing nothing, but at the same time, angry about the bullies. So she faced them again and looked at them one by one.
"If I tell you to take care of him until he feels ok, will you do it?" She asked and by her voice, she sounded serious.
"No please! You know how we really get mad at someone like him." The second bully said and kneeled right in front of her.
"Don't make us do it... We will suffer!" Overreacting, the other one said.
"Tch! How come you guys say something mean? He doesn't even know what your real motive was! Are you freakin' kidding me?!" She almost shouted making everyone flinch. "Get out of my sight you three, and don't you ever show your face to me until you say sorry to him, got it?" She said and was about to throw another punch at the bullies, but they hurriedly nodded and ran away with the main bully in their hands.
Daisy went near the young boy and lend him a hand.
"Let me help you with that." She said and smiled sweetly at the boy, but the boy didn't mind her and just stand up on its own.
"You don't have to do that... I don't need your help, and I don't need any help." The boy said, making her stunned, but still kept her pace.
"Really now? Why didn't you fought then?" She asked with knitted eyebrows.
"Do I have to? They're not even that strong to stop my attacks." After hearing the boy's answer, she pouted. She can't believe the young boy's answers.
"Anyway... What's your name?" She asked and looked at him intently.
"None of your business." The young boy said, but she insisted.
"I will not let you go home until you tell me." She said and stopped him from walking away more.
"Tch! I don't have time for this kind of plays, so please!" He irritably said.
"Oh come on, I just want to know your name... Besides, you look kinda new here." She said, and the boy just looked at her with an I'm-not-interested and I-don't-care kind of look. "Before I forgot! Please wait here for a moment, I hust need to get something." She said and ran away.
The young boy just scrunched his brows, unsure of what to do. But when she realized the Daisy said please and looked sincere, he just sat down and waited for her. She also can't believe that a young girl like her would save a stranger like him. He felt kinda touched, but still has doubts about her.
It didn't took long enough before she arrived and when he saw her, he stand up.
"So, what's so very important to keep me waiting?" He asked with a monotonous voice.
"I just went home get this kit. I... Your bruises seemed a bit deep and I can't just let you leave like that." She said and showed him the box. His eyes squinted as he look at the kit.
"I can manage myself, so you don't have to bring that thing."
"But I kinda feel guilty about what happened to you... You see, I was watching you right from the start, but I guess I got late in helping you out."
"What do you mean?"
"The truth is, I'm not supposed to go out today, but when I saw you being bullied and hurt, I can't just watch inside my room." She explained, and started to pour some betadine on the cotton. "Please sit down, I can't reach your face because of your height." She said and pulled him down to sit, he did not resist anyway.
"Ouch! Will you please slow down? It kinda hurts, and don't push it too hard." He blurted out.
"Sorry about that, I didn't mean to." Daisy apologized and put the cotton down after. She also put some band-aid for the bruises on his left forehead, and one on his right arm.
"Anyway, you didn't answer me earlier, what's your name?" She asked and the young boy just looked away. "Why won't you tell me?"
"Granger." He answered
"Whut?"
"The name's Granger Sonata, from the Sonata Musicians." He said making Daisy shocked.
"You mean to tell me that you were one of a family musicians?" She asked, her eyes almost blinking with excitement.
"I am the heir of the one and only Sonata clan."
"Wow! Then you must be good at music too?" She asked and Granger just looked down at this. Another thing is, even if Daisy doesn't know what Granger is really talking about, the word music just makes her heart pump in joy. "Did I say something wrong? Are you ok? Are you feeling hurt?" She asked worriedly and quickly went to his aid.
"This is nothing... It's just that... I- don't know how to play any instruments." He said and Daisy went silent for a while. Digesting everything that she heard, and when she finally got it...
"Your kidding right?" She giggled, making Granger look away, blushing a bit. "How come that you're the heir but doesn't know how to play?" She asked and laughed.
"Tch! I knew you would laugh at me." He said and Daisy looked at him. "I love music, honest... But I guess, the music hates me. Anyway, our music is known by everyone here at Aurora's Land. If you don't know, my parents have composed almost all of the songs that you all listen here." He explained. Making Daisy nod when she got what he meant.
"Why not try harder? I know that it will work out somehow." She said and smiled from ear to ear. Granger on the other hand, felt something in his chest. Making him hold it as it beats faster the more he sees her smiling.
"Could you please stop with the smiling? And don't say any motivative things! I can't handle it!" He said and stand up to breath for air. Good thing it worked out. He looked back at the young girl who is now cleaning the kit and putting everything back. "I need to go now, my mom might be calling for me, I didn't tell her where I've gone." He said and started to walk away.
"Wait!" Daisy stopped him. "Will you ever come back? I mean, let's play, I guess?" She said and Granger just continued walking. "I'll be waiting for you here!" She shouted cheerfully and Granger just raised his right hand still walking away.
Daisy then quickly went home and used the window to get inside back to her room. Just in time when Mila knocked on her door.
"Dear? Did you see our first aid kit? I can't seem to find it, can you help me?"
"It's here mom!" She answered nervously.
"How did you get this? I didn't even notice you going out of your room." Mila asked confused.
"Oh! It's because you were busy with work. Anyway, I just used this for something not important... You see, I got bored, so I played with it." She lied and hope that Mila would biy it.
"You naughty girl, don't ever play with this again, ok?" Mila said and she nodded then she left again to do chores, while Daisy was left in her room. She layed in her bed and thought about what happened earlier and she can't stop smiling.
"I have a new friend today... I just hope he shows up tomorrow." She smiled and thought about the performance of the Sonata Musicians tomorrow.
