Chapter 21: Feeling Guilty

The first performance ended with a bang! Everyone was so lively at the Sonata family, but one person doesn't seem to be with them. As Daisy see it, because he isn't at the stage. So she tried to look for him, but she failed.

"May I excuse myself first? I need to pee." She lied and acted like she was really about to...

"Ok, just don't take too long ok? The Sonata family might have a speech, and you don't want to miss it." Mailey said and winked at her, making her laugh nervously and went away as fast as she could.

The truth is, she just wanted to stay away from those crowd of people. She is somewhat suffocated by their number and she is also about to become deaf by their shouting and cheering, so she excused herself for a minute.

"I knew you're lying." Daisy was shocked to hear Mailey's voice, making her look back at who've spoke. "The comfort room was the other way, but I saw you exiting, so... Yeah, we excused ourselves too." She explained.

"Ooh! Don't worry, they won't notice. They're kinda hypnotized inside of there, and by the way... Why did you come out here?" Jaimey assured her and asked. "(gasp!) Don't tell me that you two planned to meet here tonight?! And you didn't tell us?!" She overreactingly said, making Daisy's eyebrows furrowed.

"What the heck are you talking about? I just want to be alone! I'm fed up with their noises inside." She answered.

"Sorry about that." Jaimey smiled while answering in a whispered tone.

Daisy felt silent and looked around. She sighed and looked down. She still can't believe that Granger is an honest boy. Remember when he told her that he can't play anything and that music hated him? Daisy realized that it was actually all true. So she just sighed again.

"I can see that you seem to be sad about something... Can you tell us?" Mailey asked and she again, sighed.

"Well the truth is... I just can't take off this weird feeling of mine. About Granger... Well he told me something that I didn't believe at first, but now that I actually saw it with my own eyes, I felt, kinda guilty about not believing him." She said and looked out of nowhere. Her sisters on the other hand, looked at each other and excitedly smiled.

"Aw, it's ok to feel that way sis... Whatever that thing that he told you about... It was done, you believed in it now, so don't feel guilty. I know he will understand." Mailey answered and held her shoulder.

"Mailey's right, another thing is, you two were strangers at first right? So it's fine." Jaimey answered and smiled. Daisy felt reassured about what she heard.

"Thanks guys... I needed that." She said. They all agreed to go back inside when...

"I knew I saw you leave, but I didn't think that you'd come out here." They all saw and heard Granger speak up, making them surprised.

"What are you doing here? Is your performance done already?" Daisy asked out of thinking.

"Stop pretending that you know nothing, will you? I always see you looking around the stage, so I know that you know I was not in there." He said, making Daisy look down in embarrassment. "Anyway, may I excuse her ladies? I really want to talk to her alone." Granger said and looked at Daisy's sister who are now stunned.

"A-Ah... Y-Yes you may, she really wanted to talk to you too, right sis?" Jaimey said and nudged her in the shoulder. She looked confused but her sisters just looked at her saying that she must agree or they will tell their parents that she lied, again.

"Sure, I have nothing to do anyway." She said boredly and crossed her arms. "But before we leave, I want to introduce my sisters to you." She said and Granger nodded. "This is Mailey, the eldest of us. She is beautiful and caring, but she has a dragon-like expression sometimes." She explained and Mailey waved her hand while smiling happily. "Jaimey is the Mailey's twin. She is cute and childish, but she is sometimes an amazona."

"No I don't!" She exclaimed.

"Yes you are." Both Mailey and Daisy answered and they all laughed at this.

"It's nice meeting you ladies. I can see that you are all close to each other huh? Tres marias I presume?" She said and the three girls smiled and nodded at this.

"Ok enough with the talks. You two go along now to have chit-chats with each other. We will now head back inside and cover you two for our parents." Mailey said and smiled evilly.

"Thank you... I hope I can talk to you again soon." Granger said and bowed.

"We also, would love to." Mailey said and both her and Jaimey walked away, back to the grand hall.

Granger led Daisy to a place where everyone is not in sight. He took her to a fountain, near the grand hall and sat there to talk. At first, none of the two can be heard talking, just the sound of silence and some insects are the only ones who're making noises. But then, Granger started talking.

"I know that we've met at a bad time, but I really want to become friends with you." He said and didn't look at Daisy, but the other way round. "I just don't know how to open up with people, cause you see... I grew up inside our house, and didn't get the chance to meet them, I mean, people like you." He explained.

"So you mean to tell me, that yesterday was your very first time to be out of your house?" She asked and Granger nodded, making her shocked. "Well that was unexpected... Anyway, so what can you say about it? Your reaction to your first outing?" She asked.

"At first, I thought it'd be like home... I always smile and have fun. But I guess, everything was different. About what happened yesterday, I didn't expected to feel that kind of pain, that's why I didn't fought back, because I really don't know what to do... And it's all thanks to you that I got back to my family alive." He said and Daisy laughed at this. "What?"

"Nothing... I just can't believe that your a soft kind of guy, you know what I mean? Every boy that I know here, is like... How can I describe it... They are some kind of a badass and a ready-to-fight kind of people. So it's very new to me to talk to someone like you." She explained and Granger just nodded at this. "Anyway... What's your plan tomorrow?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, you can't just sit around inside your room the whole day, can't you?"

"Yes I do... I just read and read books all day inside my room and just come out when I needed to." Granger answered.

"Unbelievable." Was all she could say.

"But now that i've experienced going out of the house and meeting new people, making a friend... I think I have a new thing to be interested about." He said and Daisy just smiled at this.
