Chapter 22: The Plan

(After the Night of Performance)

"Wake up guys! Hey!" Daisy, full of energy, called out for her sister.

"Huh?/What is it?" Both of them asked.

"Come on! Let's eat early... Granger said he's playing with us today." With what she said, the other two quickly went out of bed and excitedly readied themselves to go down.

After cleaning themselves, they ran down as fast as they could, making their house quake a little.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Easy there tiger sharks, why in a hurry?" Mila asked, laughing about her daughters' reactions.

"We have a new friend today! And he will come to play with us!" Jaimey said excitingly while taking a bite of her bread.

"Let me guess... Granger Sonata, is it?" Jille asked and all of them nodded as an answer. "Glad to hear that he will come out today. I heard he's not the type of a person who loves to go out for nothing." He explained.

"Well someone just changed his perspective about it." Jaimey said and nudged Daisy in the shoulder, then winked.

"Oh? Is that so?" Mila asked and giggled.

"Anyway, you guys... I want to tell you something about my dream today. It might seem kinda weird, but I guess it's worth telling you." Daisy said and everyone went silent, ready to listen to her. "Well, in my dream, I was with another family. And they're calling me as their daughter. I can't seem to see there faces, but I guess... I don't know, I kinda felt that they are familiar." She explained, making Mila drop her spoon. "Are you ok? Did I said something wrong?" She asked and went to her mothers aid.

"How soon you forget my child! It has been just three years since you've lived here, but I didn't think that you'd forget that easily." She said, disappointment carved on her face.

"What are you saying?" She asked.

"Milla, remember the queen's orders?" Jille asked and she just stared at him blankly. So Mila and Jille just signed their breaths at this. "It's nothing to be worried about, so just eat for you to play early." Jille said and they didn't even talk after that. They just continued eating as fast as they could and cleaned everything. But after that, Daisy kept on asking the question, making them have no other choice but to answer her.

"Oooh!!! I'm really surprised that you forgot about it dear." Mila said.

"We kinda don't know what you're talking about too mom." Mailey said and Jaimey just nodded at this.

"Ok, here's the truth... Remember three years ago, when Daisy was brought here by the queen's orders?" Mila asked and they all nodded. "She was just adopted by us. That means that she is not legally your sister." They all nodded again, knowing the truth of this didn't made them really shocked. "But she didn't really came from Northern Dawn." This made all their reactions didn't changed at this.

"She came from a place where everyone is prohibited to go now." Jille said and put a hologram in the middle of the table, making them look at this. "That place is at Western Dawn." He said and touched the hologram, making it glow and show what Jille meant. They saw people walking around the place. Everyone was roaming around making them confused what they are for. "And this... They are your true family." He said and touched the hologram again, making it change to a picture where a man, woman and two other elderly sitting on a sofa with a baby. "That baby is you." He explained and Daisy doesn't even know how to react at this.

"When you turned seven years old, you where brought to us, and was told to keep you and teach you everything we know and do here." Mila then explained, making her tears fall down.

"How did I even forgot about them? Why did I forget?" She asked and her sisters hugged her to hush her down.

"The real reason, we don't know. But I guess the queen knows why." Mila answered and shut the hologram off.

"They made me live here just to forget about my real family. And I even remember the queen telling me that I have some sort of a strong power hidden inside of me." Daisy said and wiped her tears. "But three years had passed and still nothing!" She hissed. "Maybe she's just messin' around with me because my family did something bad in the past?" She asked unsure of her answer. She really can't seem to remember a thing about her real family.

"Please don't say it like that dear... The queen speaks the truth, but now is not the right time for you to find out if it is all real, right? You're still young anyway. And your family died with the massacre at Western Dawn." Mila said and patted her head.

"Your mother's right Daisy. Just live your life to the fullest for now. I'm sure the queen has a valid reason for all of this. But now is not the right time to find an answer." Jille said and her sisters nod as an answer.

"I understand mom, dad. Thank you for making me remember everything. And thank you for assuring me." She said and they all had a group hug, and soon after, the three sisters went outside to play.

But inside Mila and Jille's heart, was sadness and guilt that they hid the truth from Daisy. They were just following orders, because the queen told them so.

Meanwhile~

(Outside Mila's house)

A caped man heard their story and leaved immediately after hearing everything. He went out of the town and when he figured out that he is all alone and far from people. He chanted a spell to cast a portal, and without further adieu, he went inside just in time for the portal to shut down and some random people to pass by.

When he arrived at his destination, the palace in empire of Dusk. He quickly went to the throne room to see the king. There he saw him sitting on the throne, and someone bowing before him.

"Pardon me for my intrusions my lord, but I have news to thee." He said and bowed as low as he can.

"And what updates do you bring?" The king said and looked at him, so he felt that the king is not really in the mood for a talk. But he knew that his message would change everything.

"Well I just found out where our VIP is hiding, and I also heard that she somehow forgot about her past. The bad news is? Her adopters made her remember them." He told, making the king smirk.

"Looks like the time has come." He said and stand up. "I am really impressed about you, Arhin. Together with Xel, you are unstoppable. A perfect combination of an assassin and a magician." He continued, making Arhin smile, but at the same time, disappointed as to why the king mentioned Xel. "You see? This is the kind of warrior that I want to sit here in my throne. So you better be prepared for the future. Do you understand Damian?" He said and looked at the one who is now kneeling in front of him.

"Yes... Father." The one kneeling down said and his eyes started to glow with a fiery red color. "I won't disappoint you ever again." The atmosphere changed together with his aura. If earlier, he was just like a normal kid who is afraid of his father about to yell at him. Now he is like a scary demon, smiling evilly while his hand clenched in anger.

"Good. Arhin, gather our men outside. Ready themselves for a one fierce battle. We will now proceed to our next mission. Get the little girl." Said the king and Arhin bowed at this, before leaving.

"Oh? So I will get to see my future wife, father?" Damian asked and the king just nodded as an answer. "Eh??? I wonder what she looks like?" He asked and tried to think what her face really looks like.
