"I hope that you'll be happy staying here until then." Nurse Oh said as she wave her last goodbyes to Daisy and Granger. "Please behave while you two are here, we don't want something bad to happen right?" She said and they both just nodded. "Ok... I guess i'll take my leave then. Thank you for accepting them here Oracle Ban." She also said facing the old woman.
"This is the least I can do for them and for everyone if I may say." The only thing Ban could say. After that, Nurse Oh left, and the gate locked itself again. She looked at the two who were silently standing behind her and said. "Wash yourself up and take a good rest... Two days from now, I will train you two to ready yourself, just in case the trial of Dawn starts." She explained.
"Trial of Dawn? What's that supposed to mean?" Daisy asked innocently.
"It is the only time when every child here at Dawn Empire will be going to the palace to take a test. After the test, you will be given a chance to pick what you want to be, and if the trial supports you, you pass." She then answered, making Daisy nod in confusion.
"What happens to the children who doesn't pass?" Granger asked, while listening.
"They might as well, be killed by their own families, or be thrown out of the empire and leave." She then explained.
"Such a great loss if I may say." Granger then said, but the old woman waved her head, disagreeing to the young one.
"The royal palace doesn't agree with this too." She said.
"So the ones who made this rule are..."
"That's right, it's the people living in this empire."
"But why would they do such a thing? Don't they care about their families?" Daisy asked while looking out, thinking about the answer.
"You might think that the empire is a peaceful kingdom, but to the people living here... It's like living in Dusk empire. All they want to have are the people ready to fight for them. They disregard all those who they think, don't have any use for them." She explained sadly and sat at the sofa where she sat earlier.
"I hate to say this. But if we two really are the ones shown in the light of future, then I don't want to do it." Granger then said after hearing what Oracle Ban said.
"But you must, or else something worse might happen to you, mainly for Daisy." Ban explained desperately. She is worried about the answer of the two.
"What for? If they do something like that, then there would be no future for them, not at all." Daisy then answered and looked intently at her, seriously all over.
"Don't you want to get revenge for your families and friends who died?" Ban then asked, making the other two silent. "If you don't want to do this for the people, then do it for your loved ones." She insisted.
"I think I need to rest. There's so many things that had happened... Makes me sick to even remember." Granger then stand up to divert the topic. "May I ask where I can take my sleep?" He then asked.
"I agree with him. I am also, too tired, even if I just woke up from that long slumber." Daisy second the motion, making Ban have no other choice but to accept their choices, for now.
She told them to just pick a room upstairs aside from the left part of the house. They then excused themselves to go up and find their rooms. When they got upstairs, they looked at their left side and saw a total of five doors. One in the middle, two on each of the sides.
Daisy picked the door second to the last left, while Granger picked second to the right. But before entering their rooms...
"If you were really the one being mentioned by the cauldron... Will you be willing to sacrifice your own life for those selfish people?" Granger asked while they both face their back to each other.
"I don't really get why they need to be that harsh to everyone around them... But if they have an acceptable reason behind it, I think, I can manage to agree with them... I just don't know what to answer for now, how about you?" Without knowing Granger's expression, she asked.
"I don't know either." Was all Granger could answer before walking inside their own rooms.
Daisy, after locking her door, surveyed the room. She went and inspect the room for anything suspicious. She checked every inch of the room, for she thinks that the oracle had put surveillance unto them both, and to tell Granger about this when she finds something not right.
But as time goes by, she found none, making her sit down at the chair, in front of a mirror. She was a bit sweaty from what she did and decided to take a shower before sleeping. She also went to the closet to find something to wear on. There, she finds a pair of pajamas, just like the color that she loves. A stripe of Black and White. So she waisted no more time and hurriedly went to the bathroom to do what her errand is and after that, she quickly put on the PJs.
"Oooh! It fits perfectly like it's made for me! I love this!" She said, her eyes almost blinking for her clothes. She then went to her bed to sleep, but she felt something weird. She felt like there's someone who's watching her, so she sat down and looked around, then she noticed the veranda. No one was there. She thought she is just imagining things, so she just went to the veranda to shut the door and went back to the bed to sleep.
Outside the House~
'I thought she saw me! That was close!' A person wearing a black cloak thought as he stayed at the rooftop after Daisy went to the veranda. 'That was really a dumb move for me.' He said to himself and smiled. 'How is she that cute to be honest?! She looks perfect with black and white.' He said excitedly and decided to go home before anyone could see him. 'Just wait for me to come back and get you.' He then said and vanished in the distant air.
