Daisy
Ok so this is just like... The worst day ever for me. I still can't see anything! Although the color changed to white itself, but for what use?! It's still the same, I can't still see!
"Daisy? Please come out. Just eat just a bit, please." Granger kept on telling me to go out of my room and eat. Well, I haven't been eating since the day I became blind. I just don't want to cause a ruckus out there if ever, that's why I restrained myself.
"Let her be for now. I'll just bring her some food again inside later." Oracle Ban said, and I could hear him complaining, but she just assured my friend.
Let me tell you about what happened after the trial. I woke up back in the hospital, blind. Then three days later, we went home to Oracle Ban's house where I was treated. But it's been five days, since this injury happened, and it's making me loose hope. But she said that when I start to see a white color in my visions instead of a black one. Then it is an indication that I am healing. I just hope that in the next days, I will fully be able to see. I can't withstand doing nothing but lay down here in my bed and sleep all day long, I am feeling bored already!
"Daisy? Let me feed you again, ok?" Oracle Ban said, making me surprised. I didn't felt her presence anywhere. "What is it that you're thinking again? You're not concentrating. It will cause a stop with your healing." She advised, making me apologise.
"I just can't believe that this is happening to me. I mean, I didn't even knew why I got blinded in the first place." I explained, and sighed. Nothing more to say, then she motioned me to open my mouth to start eating, to which I obeyed.
"That is the cause of you, not being able to control your power. That is the consequence of the phoenix's power." She then said, making me worry. "Not the worst, if I may say."
"About this phoenix power... What if I don't control it the way I want it to? What if it's the one who will control me? What will happen?" The questions I asked.
"It depends on your sorroundings. The moment the phoenix opens its power, it will gain the aura of the people around it. So if the phoenix opens with us in your side, then it will be safe to say that the phoenix will not be a bad one. But it goes same with the other explanation, you know what I mean?" She said, making me feel goosebumps all over my body. I felt scared.
"Why does it have to be me anyway?" I asked again, still confused about what's happening.
"Didn't I already told you the story of the phoenix? But it was not the full story of it." She explained, and I remained silent to keep her on going. "The story came from the oldest mountain of Aurora's Land.
Once, there was a powerful girl who lived at the top most part of Etania's Mountain. She was given the most powerful magic of all, but on a condition told not to go down the mountains until the age of seven. So until the day of her seventh birthday, she didn't do anything but play a flute that resembles that of a bird, which is the phoenix.
It was given to her by her great grandfather who was a servant of the most powerful goddess in Aurora's Land. The powerful phoenix. It also gives her more power as the day she play it, making her stronger everyday.
But before the day of her birthday, then came someone who needs rescuing down the mountains. And although many of the people down there were able to see that person. No one helped, so the girl, unable to restrain herself any longer, went down secretly and helped that person. She nursed him and treated him well until the time that he was ready to set fort again.
But alas, she knew that when her family finds out, it will not make a good outcome, to which had happened. For when everyone found out about it, all of them was furious, and decided to throw her down the mountains. And she was cursed, not to be able to set foot the mountains, until she finds someone worthy of the phoenix's power.
That's the reason why the phoenix can't be controlled that easily. It needs someone who is worthy, just like what she did until her mistake was made." She explained, making me silent for a minute. "Only three persons were able to control that power, but no one knows where they are now. For it is believed, that the former holders of the power was punished and was thrown in a dungeon where no one knows. And if one of the users succeeds in controlling it, then they will all be set free." She continued.
"Your power is unique, Daisy. It has the power to control everything. Anything but life and death. And the only person who was given this kind of talents, were those people who have the heart of a phoenix." Granger then came inside, making me look up, but I don't know where I was even looking.
"By means, is that you are brave, and has a pure heart. To which you have." Oracle Ban then said. Making me, just nod as an answer.
"I didn't even thought for once that I have this kind of power. But something inside me, says that I shouldn't be happy about it. And I don't know why." Was the last thing I said before they wrap things up. I was already done eating, as to what Oracle Ban said, so they left my room after everything and the only thing I did was lie in bed, again. Unable to do what I want because of my injury. "I want to heal faster, so I can go outside again. I already missed walking around the empire." I said to myself as I was about to close my eyes, when I felt someone else's presence inside my room.
I felt goosebumps all over my body. "Who- Who's there?" I asked and tried to feel it more, but I guess, it's trying to block me from feeling it. "Granger? Are you scaring me right now? It's not helping for my regeneration, you know." I asked trying to sound pissed.
"But I am not that dumbass, and I'm not scaring you-"
"Who are you?! What are you doing inside of my room? What do you want? How did you get inside?" I was surprised to hear someone's unfamiliar voice.
"Oops!" I heard him say, but I put my guard up more. "Let me explain-"
"Granger! Grangeeer!!! Oracle Ban! Heeelp!!! Someone please!"
"Oh come on! Just calm down will you?!"
"I will not calm down until you tell me who you are! Heeelp!!!" I continued shouting.
"I will! Just-"
"Daisy? What's going on in there?!" I could now hear Granger's voice outside my room.
"Shit! Ok, gotta go now, bye~ see you soon, my future princess." I heard his voice for the last time, and it made me shiver in fear, when I heard his last words.
Then I heard my door opening quickly. Granger must have opened it now.
"What happened?" He asked worriedly.
"Someone entered my room without us knowing! I don't know who it was, but the voice was of a man!" I said scared and covered myself with my blanket.
Then I heard him sigh.
"You must be imagining things, Daisy." He said and I heard him shutting a door. "Your veranda is open, the wind must have played some tricks." After closing the door, he went near me and embraced me. "Don't worry about that now, you're safe. As long as i'm here, no one can hurt you." He said and that made me calm down. He sang me some lullabies, then after that, I was drawn to sleep. I felt him kissing my forehead too, before I fell asleep.
To be continued~
