Chapter 7 - SHE’S DEAD
OUTSIDE THE HOSPITAL ROOM:
"He's suffering from PTSD" the doctor informs
"Is it severe?" One of the detectives asks
"Yes, but I must warn that he's distanced himself from others and he seems to be a little agitated, so I would recommend you come back and talk to him another time" the doctor warns
The two detectives turn to each other before coming to a conclusion...
"We'll come back tomorrow, we know he's going through something traumatic and horrible, but we really need a statement from him, as soon as possible" the other detective informs
"I understand" the doctor replies
They begin walking down the hall when they spot a familiar figure...
"Isn't that the boyfriend?" the detective asks while trying not to be noticed
"I wouldn't say boyfriend but yeah. That's him." the other detective adds
"What's he doing here?"
"That's a good question"

TWO DAYS AGO:
The two detectives walk hastily to the scene of what would be their hardest case to solve...
"You need clearance to come in-" the police officer states as he holds up his hands to stop them but gets cut off
"Detective Kohama" she then puts her hands on the other detective's shoulder " And this is Detective Matsuta" she informs him
Shocked by the response, he puts down his hand with his expression turning apologetic...
"Oh, my apologies"
He lifts the tape and quickly steps aside.
The two detectives enter the crime scene, where up to four others are taking pictures, along with other things. As they pass them, they reach the coroner who's observing the corpse...
"What do we got?" Kohama asks
"I'm not sure but from the looks of it, she was thrown from the building or strangled before being thrown"
"What do you mean?" Matsuta asks
"Her neck has a mark on it wish indicates someone grabbed her by it, but I would have to take her back to the lab to identify any more injuries"
"Has anyone who knows her showed up?" Kohama ask
"No. Only the boy."
"Oh, well inform us when you identify the body"
"Will do" the coroner replies
"Tell me about the boy?" Matsuta ask
"Oh, he still hasn't woken up yet" the coroner answers
"What's his name?"
"Ah...Aiko Ito"

"Aiko?" A lady asks as she. sits next to his bed with her hand brushing through Aiko's hair
Aiko slowly opens his eyes as he gains back consciousness...
"Mom?"
"What happened?" he asks as he sits up
"They said you passed out" she answers
Aiko looks around as he finally notices the beeping sounds...
"Where am I?"
"You're at the hospital" she answers
Suddenly he remembers walking but something else happens after that, he just doesn't remember what...
"Mom...what happened?" he asks and instantly his mom's eyes begin to darken with a wide smile forming on her face
"Nothing, my sWeEt bOy" his mothers face start to turn demonic and his vision turns red
"YoU'rE FrIeNd iS JuSt DeAd!!!!"
"NO"
"HA!!!""HA!!!"
"NO stop it...please" he cries out
"SHE IS" "DEAD" "DEAD"
"NO!!! SHUT UP!!!"

He jumps up out of the nightmare, shocking the three pairs of worried eyes that are set on him...
As he looks around he sees his mom, dad, and brother...
"Where's M?" he asks with his voice cracking as the tears start to stream down his face...
Which causes everyone's eyes in the room to tear up. His mom quickly runs to his bedside while trying to hold his hand...
"Mom... Where's M?" he cries again
"I need to see her...I need to know she's not, she's not, she's not-"
"I'm so sorry," his mom says as she wraps him into a hug which causes him to cry even harder
"No, she's alive...I need to see her... Please call her... I need to see her..."

Detective Kohama picks up her phone to see an incoming call from the coroner...
"Hello?"
"We identified the body"
"And who is it?"
"Akemi Sato"
"Ok...send me her profile and documents"
"Will do"
She hangs up the call and instantly hears a notification on her laptop...
"Well, that was quick"
"Ok let's see who exactly you are," the detective says as she opens the files...
"Early twenties, Economic student-first year, never had a bad report, a good student, but were you also a good person?" she asks herself

TWENTY-NINE DAYS LATER:
"hE's...DeAd" Akemi cries out while turning to look at us...
"WE KILLED HIM!!!" She screams, her sadness turning to anger...
"No, you're not real it's in my head"
"It's in my head"
"It's in my head"
"She's dead"
"It's in my head"
TWENTY-NINE DAYS EARLIER:
"We managed to put him on some sedatives, so that should calm him down for now-" the doctor informs
"Oh"
"But I must inform you that if his condition gets worse he might need to seek professional help-like a therapist"
"But there's a chance it might get better right?" the mother asks
"Yes, there is, but he can't do it alone, so be there as much as you can for him, but try not to make him feel uncomfortable"
"Oh...thank you," the father says as his expression turns even sadder
"You're welcome"
Before the doctors could fully leave the room, he turns around and notifies them "I'll come back in a while to check on him"
"O-ok"

Detective Matsuta walks into the room to see Detective Kohama still on her laptop...
"Have you found any leads yet?"
"No, not yet. She doesn't seem to have problems with anyone. But I need to interview her parents, teachers, and friends. But especially that boy."
"Ok and we'll do it tomorrow..."
Detective Matsuta walks up behind her and wraps his arms around her while whispering in her ear...
"But for now let's go to bed," he said while playfully kissing her cheeks

IN THE BACK OF A DARK ALLEY:
"Where's your boyfriend?" a man asks
"I don't know what you're talking about?" Kaito lies
"Don't play games-" the man punches him across his face which makes him fall to the ground "-with me"
"Maybe I should kill your boyfriend to teach you a lesson"
But as Kaito stands back up, he pulls out a gun from the back of his pants and points it at the man...
"Wait...I was just joking"
'BANG!!!'
