Being the top ninja at the village came at a price. Klautz couldn't even fathom how many people he had almost worked for free just because they had helped to improve the political standing of the village in the world of hell.

At the end of it all, out of a 1000 gold mission, he would only get a measly 250 gold. Though the cost of missions increased with his rank but he was kept stolen over and over again and he couldn't even do anything about it. At one point Klautz had accepted it and had got used to having money stolen from him in such a manner.

So how could he not be happy when he was getting money directly from the customer? He couldn't help but have his black eyes shimmer in  golden light instead.

The village and the representative were always the one who managed the transactions and the marketing. Klautz was just an employee who got his pay.
