Yeah...you can't get rid of me that easily. Thing is...I can't move. This is going to be a problem. Wow. Déjà vu.
"Over here!" Someone close by yelled
I heard foot stomps coming my way.
"She is in really bad shape. We need to get her to a doctor. Fast" another said
Ya think?!
I was lifted in the air and rushed to the nearest doctor. I blacked out on the way there.
.
.
.
I'm pretty sure I'm not dead yet but where exactly am I?
I looked around at my surroundings but found nothing. There was no light so it was pitch black.
"Niko?" Someone called out
I turned and saw Julia in a white dress.
"You changed your outfit?" I asked her
She looked down. As if surprised that she had a new outfit. "Not exactly…"
"What happened?" I asked her
"I just wanted to see you one last time. This is our farewell. Please take care of yourself" she said and disappeared.
I sighed. There goes another master.
.
.
.
I opened my eyes to see a well lit room with brick walls. I sat up to get a better view but was met with a sharp pain on my side.
"Careful. You had a few broken ribs. If it weren't for your fast regeneration, you would be dead for sure" a light voice said
I turned to see the person talking. She was organizing herbs on the shelf but stopped as soon as she saw me move.
"Oh! Is the pain that bad?" She asked
I tilted my head, confused on why she would be asking me that. I felt a drop of water fall on my hand. I raised my hand to my face. They were teardrops. I was crying.
"I made sure to give you as much pain reliever as I could. I must have given you too little." The doctor continued
I ignored her for the time as I was too preoccupied catching my tears. *This is what it feels like to cry? Weird*
The doctor was still rambling when we heard a knock at the door. She opened it up and saw Loki.
"Is the patient awake?" He asked
The doctor smiled and said "She just woke up. You might want to give her some time though"
Loki agreed and left. He told her he would be back in an hour.
She turned and asked how I was doing. I didn't want to risk talking and making an accidental slave, so I nodded.
"You are...doing well?" She asked
I nodded again.
"That's good. Not much of a talker Huh?"
Meh. More like I can't.
The doctor looked me over and gave me some time to rest afterward.
Time alone. Finally.
*What do I do now? Do I tell people what happened to me? What if I get sent to the loony bin? No, wait. I can't even talk. How frustrating*
I closed my eyes.
What to do...what to do…
I got it! If I can't communicate using my mouth, why not use my mind. Telepathy. Julia tried it once before but the person she used it on got so freaked out that they moved towns. They believed that they were being haunted by evil spirits or something. She also kept getting headaches from it. So she stopped using it completely.
I tried it on the doctor when she came into the room.
*Hello?* I said
She looked around then at me. "Did you say something?"
I tapped my mind and said *Telepathy*
Her eyes widened and froze for some time. "You can use telepathy?"
I nodded
"That-that's amazing! Only a few people can use it. Even then, you must have lots of practice." She rambled
Good. I can communicate.
The doctor was still talking when Loki came into the room. But this time he brought Thor with him.
"Is she well enough to talk?" Loki asked
"About that, I didn't know she could speak telepathically" doc said
Loki and Thor were surprised "S-she can?" Thor asked
"You guys didn't know?" Doc looked at me "Do you mind showing them?"
I shook my head and said *I think have a lot of explaining to do*
"Yes. You do" Loki said
