Plans In The Making

Walking through the hallways of the White House, Cole followed by Kyle and the other soldiers were talking as they were being lead out of the building.

"Sir! Should you not consider the president's idea?" Kyle said as he tried persuading his king.

"Don't worry about that. There is always one bad apple in the bunch, One of the kings will become a problem that they, the government, simply cannot handle." Cole said as he walked out of the building with a smile on his face.

... One Week Later...

"Good Morning, we come to you now bringing news of new information released by the president herself over these new super powered humans.

The President, last night, has released an official statement regarding these incidents saying that everything is related to the object that came out of the anomaly last week, Given the name of Pandora's Box. Before getting to that we will give a brief summary of last weeks events.

It seems that Pandora's Box selects 7 people to gain special power and have been designated the name Pandora's Kings by the government. The kings manifest a throne, of their color, while using their powers and are able to share their power with others, effectively making them a family or clan.

We have identified 4 of the colors for the kings so far, they are Green, Purple, and Red, and Gold. The Red throne was spotted over the White House a last week, The Green was spotted over the city of Los Angeles last Tuesday. the Pink was spotted over a small town outside of South Dakota yesterday, and also last week the Gold was spotted at a waterside warehouse area in Boston.

So far the identities of these "Kings" have not been revealed to the public. Anyone with information on the identities of these kings are asked, by the government, to come forward with all information.

Now, onto what the president has said earlier tonight in her press conference. There are now individuals gaining powers without being one of Pandora's Kings. They are labeled as strains, and the strains gain powers by being affected by the output of energy from the Pandora's Box. These powers can range from shooting flames from their hands or allowing them to heal injuries with a single touch. So far only around 5 or so strains were found by the government to be dangerous to civilians and have been taken into custody.

As of now, most of the strains are concentrated in the Massachusetts area. Scientists theorize that this is because of Pandora's Box using energy to leave the anomaly and enter our world. Though we do not know what the anomaly truly was, many scientists conclude it as the end of a black hole. With the box using most of it's energy to escape the anomaly, it only has enough power to create kings and create a few strains at the moment.

When will it start affecting the world? Even we do not know. Right now scientists are also trying to analyze the technology that has created Pandora's Box. They say in a few months that we will be able to improve our country greatly even if we only understand 1% of the technology used for the box.

Now, onto the weather for this week...."

In a fairly dark room, lit only by the moonlight shining light through the window against the side of a knife, the news station played on a tv to the side of the room. Within the room a man sat up on his bed as he twirled the knife in his hand while watching the proceedings on the tv.

Frowning at the tv before turning it off, he tossed the knife into the air before letting it fall to the floor. Surprisingly though, the knife began to sink into his shadow.

As he stood up and donned his black trench coat he picked up a mask from the table beside his bed. Looking at the black cloth mask that seemed to only cover the lower half of his face, he kept a straight face as he put it on and walked to the window of his apartment.

"I will become the strongest... and then nobody will stand in my path... I will get my vengeance for you, Kiara." He said as a black power erupted from his body making the roof of his apartment explode as he looked up at the black colored throne high in the sky above him.

"Nobody will stop me..." he said as he began to sink into his own shadow before disappearing completely.

...

Dozens of miles away from the apartment, within a military base. Inside of a building near the center of the base, dozens of computers started flashing colors as alarms went off stirring the drowsiness from anyone in front of the computer.

"Pandora's energy is spiking within the New York City area. The energy readings are within the threshold of a king's ability." One man said as he sat up and began typing rapidly on his keyboard.

"Send out squads immediately, block off the areas and tell Lieutenant Cole to head over there." One man said giving multiple orders at once's

"Yes Sir!" Everyone replied as orders were sent out instantly causing the soldiers in the area to run around quickly forming squads and entering vehicles donned in black combat gear before leaving the base in minutes.

....

Inside of the lead vehicle a man with a black combat suit and red hair sat in the passenger seat of an technologically advanced military transport truck.

"Mr. Cole, the readings are within the threshold of a king's power. That means that we will be meeting another king finally and not one of these strains." The soldier beside him, Kyle, said with a smile as he tapped on the tablet in hand to look at street cameras in the vicinity of the apartment.

"That might be the case, but I doubt any king would want to be revealed to the public just yet." Cole said with a smile as he lit a cigarette with his finger and began to smoke within the truck as he thought about finally meeting another king.
