As I stood in front of my stove watching the gurgling pot of sauce, I couldnt help but sigh in contentment at how my life was going. Perfect husband, works hards, and loves harder. 

As I stand in the field surrounded by a multitude of bodies and covered in blood, I can't help but think of what brought me here. My mate. Or lack thereof. I have searched to the ends of the earth since the day I turned 18 but to no avail. She doesn't exsist. It's the only reason I can imagine. Why the MoonGoddess feels I do not deserve love is beyond my ability to understand.

Already Taken

I watch my mate closely and tighten my grip, expecting her to run. But I'm left in confusion as she just stares at her son. No screams, no running, no nothing. Just stares. Did we break her? I mean I know about shock but this, this is odd. I slightly shake her to gain her attention. She slowly looks up at me with a look I can not seem to read. As the air shift, she looks back at Ben, who is now back human and fully dressed in a t-shirt and jeans that his sister must have brought him. 


"How long?", she asks, "how long have you hidden this from me"? She asks in a suprisingly calm voice. 


Ben visibly pales at the question. "Dad told me when I was 10. Dawn as well. We never wanted to hid this from you." 


"How can I be anything to Luc, Alpha, whatever his name is, when your dad and I are married?!" 


"Dad found you, and yes he loves you, after giving up on finding his true mate. You are Alpha Luc's true mate mom."
