As I stood in front of my stove watching the gurgling pot of sauce, I couldnt help but sigh in contentment at how my life was going. Perfect husband, works hards, and loves harder. 

As I stand in the field surrounded by a multitude of bodies and covered in blood, I can't help but think of what brought me here. My mate. Or lack thereof. I have searched to the ends of the earth since the day I turned 18 but to no avail. She doesn't exsist. It's the only reason I can imagine. Why the MoonGoddess feels I do not deserve love is beyond my ability to understand.

Jim. He stands amidst the trees, staring at us. Through the shock of seeing him again, I realize I am in another man's arms. And Jim is witnessing this. I start to buck in Luc's arms. 


"Let me down Luc. Let me down. It's Jim. I need to go to him". His arms begin to tighten around me and his breathing becomes heavy. 


"No". And with that he begins to run back toward the house. As we reach the door, I see Taylor waiting. "Take her to our room. Keep her safe and DO NOT LET HER LEAVE. " At that he takes off toward the forest faster than is even possible, and disappears after Jim. 


He took the bait. I knew he wouldn't be able to resist. None can when there is a threat against their mate. As he hands Amber over to another, I can't help but let a slow smile etch it's way onto my face. She won't be there for long. I'll make sure of it.
