After a few minutes, I spot Taylor standing just inside the border of trees surrounding the pack land. Not sure how to approach him, I just stand silently, watching him.
With much deliberation, I make my way over to where he is. Since he hasn't shown any sign of hearing me, I gently place my hand on his arm to get his attention.
The moment my hand connects with him, he whips around to look at me. His eyes are a bright golden, lit by a fire that I can't understand. Before I can ask if he is alright, I am pulled into a bone crushing embrace. My body goes stiff from the shock, as I hold my breath, not sure how to react to this odd intrusion.
I feel the shudder race through his body as we are pressed together. Maybe he is hurting so bad that he doesn't even realize who I am. With a sigh, I tilt my head up and ask him, "Are you ok?"
Moving his head from my neck, he nods. " I am now."
