Training and drinking

Sanaa was the first at the training ground. She was doing katas but was unfocused as she kept thinking about the girl 2 years her junior, generating blue fire like it was her toy and then compressing the beast that was the azure fire that can only exist if focused or burning without any soot.

Temujin was the second and was carrying a bag filled with tools. "What are you doing?" Landslide asked seeing what Temujin was carrying.

"Teaching the squirt a lesson." He chuckled preparing traps and then landslide gave him a judgmental look. "What?"

"Landslide believes that this won't work, the corporal is dangerous and there's a rumor that she helped take down two pirates crews." Temujin rolled his eyes at glared at him and then liquefied the ground with a stomp and then let it harden again. "never disrespect The Landslide and the Land will devour you!" Landslide stood over the fire bender, said fire bender was worried the earth bender would actually eat him.

Tuva stomped the floor and Temujin popped out of the ground. "Still it feels like a punishment to me," Sanaa chuckled. "what?" He asked with an offended tone.

"I mean we are all here because our commanders hate us." Aki came looking for the corporal. "My sergeants hated me for the fact the I was telling how to improve her stances. Aki's here because you don't respect authority and set people's hair on fire." He nodded and then she turned to Tuva. "You're here because your commanding officers think that you're rebellious but in reality, you just don't like talking to people."

Tuva nodded. "I just find it hard, that's why I joined the united forces you just take orders! No telling kids what to do."

Temujin looked confused. "Wait I was rewarded to be here and Jumin hasn't come yet.." Baatar and Jumin came both tired.

"Never go drinking with Zaya or Bumi for people who aren't over 20 they drink like a dragon," Baatar told his team member before jumin threw up.

Jumin nodded. "Soko is the worst drink in the world, after the first bottle I started seeing things!" Baatar nodded with the same terrified expression.

Zaya and mo came not affected mostly cause mo didn't join in the drinking and Zaya had drunk stuff that was much worse, one being a shot of gasoline after losing a game of pai sho. "Good, the boot lickers learned how dumb that idea was." They looked shocked.

Jumin had to ask. "How are you not having a hangover?" She grabbed her own head massaging it.

Zaya chuckled. "I burn it out of my system." She smiled at them and mo saw everyone giving him desperate a look. He mouthed 'I'm not the nice one' Zaya smiled. "Today we will use a smaller version of the Fire Conan." They were confused before Mo stomped twice creating a wall with a funnel which Zaya fired through creating an inferno which the earth benders block with earth shields.

Sanaa was the first ask. "WHY DO YOU KEEP TRYING TO KILL US?!"

"Because you only learn when you struggle, and I explained it to Baatar and Jamin while we were drinking." The two facepalmed.

"That's why I don't drink, and if I drink with Zaya I will end up missing a few things." He looked at Zaya the kleptomaniac. "By the way, Zaya found your wallets, some kid pickpocketed you." She threw the wallets at them.

"Now you recreate it! The fastest bender and the one with the largest flames or you have to go out and drink with me!"

Temujin had to ask. "How is that a reward?" Jumin and Baatar repeated the same technique only that Zaya blocked it with a fire shield.

"Not bad! Keep training until you can impress me." They all groaned and Zaya left with sergeant Mo.

Aki looked around. "Who wants to-" Baatar repeated the wall and Jumin created the Fire. "What's wrong with you?!"

"I WON'T LOSE MY KIDNEYS!" Jumin released an inferno of flames at Aki who was saved by Tuva and Landslide.

"Why are you acting like this?" Bumi asked. "You're usually less strict."

"I know, but once I get this unit into top shape, I might get another promotion and I can start planning a nice retirement." She leaned into a chair. "How's your family? I heard you got a few vacation days." She ate dumplings.

"My brothers been doing what he always does and Kya has been planing on traveling the world. Dad is fine and mom's been asking about a special girl." Zaya blushed almost choking on her second dumpling.

"I'm still afraid of your parents." She said with shame, since she didn't fear a lot of things unless they had more than four legs, had multiple eyes, and no fur.

"I understand they can be intimidating, Dads the avatar, Moms the best healer in the world and You're afraid of my siblings right? Tenzin is a pushover." She chuckled at that comment. He tried to grab something out of his pocket but found that it had a hole. "I need to check on my fern!" He ran, leaving a perplexed Zaya.

Sergeant Mo was the one to find Bumi crawling on the ground looking for the necklace. "Sir, what are you looking for?" Bumi was panicking and pulled mo into an empty corridor.

Bumi looked into his. "What's your opinion on Zaya?"

Mo just gave an honest answer. "She is a deadly and horrifying woman, who has a track record of kleptomania." Bumi nodded. "She also has a soft spot for animals and is known to be generous when inviting people to a drink." Bumi let go of him. "Also that you and Zaya are in a relationship since the PO gau incidents tracking down smugglers." Bumi sighed that story wasn't one he liked to talk about unless someone mentioned it.

"Well, we were staking out a hideout for 43 hours. Then Zaya and I fought against 30 earth benders, after they were transporting a cart filled with men from an island a pirate raided. After that is when we were attacked by 10 lighting benders! Zaya blocked and redirected the lighting at the attackers..." Mo was already questioning how much of this is real. "...Then a badger mole came out of the ground!" He continued.

"Why are you doing that?" Aki asked his team who were doing the "dragon wall" as a few of them had named it. "I'm just going to have a drink with those two." Jumin and Baatar stared at the maniac.

Sanaa was thinking about Zaya. "The fastest bender and create the largest flames... We just need to work together and we will win this bet!" They all looked at her. "Combined we would outdo her wouldn't we?" They agreed.

Bumi finally finished the thrilling tale of how he and Zaya beat a badger mole riding drug lord. "Anyway, I lost an engagement necklace." Mo was confused until he repeated it in his head, which leads to a shocked expression. "It's partially Zaya's fault cause she always burned a hole into my pocket. She has been seeing counseling about her issues."

Mo sighed. "Maybe Zaya stole it? I mean she regularly does that to people's wallets." Bumi shacked his head.

"No, Zaya tells me after she takes stuff from me unless it's sweets." He had an annoyed look on his face. "I need your help. You wouldn't know how to see through your feet would you?" Mo rolled his eyes and pulled out a necklace with the center of it being a Blue four-pointed star while the rest of it was made from a snowflake obsidian, with carvings of animals and what looked to be lighting strikes. "Thanks! I owe you my life! and Two months' salary" Bumi said checking if it was scratched.

"Did you make it yourself?" He asked impressed, the fact that the carving and the red jasper was fused mean that a very experienced earth bender helped create it.

Bumi nodded. "I carved the pieces and I asked someone with tight lips to put them all together." Mo just figured this person was Toph, the greatest earth bender, Bei Fong. "I'm going to ask her today and hopefully she will say yes!" The sergeant looked confused why Bumi wasn't sure if she would say yes.

"I'm assuming she will since you're the only person she actually likes spending time with. She usually gets people to drink with her as a punishment but you and Bulga are the only ones she likes to spend time with." Bumi grinned at the sergeant and he smiled back.

At the middle of the road a carriage with four heavily armored ostrich horses walking next to the sparkling emerald and encrusted with gold carriage of the earth princess. Then it started with a needle flying through the air, taking out the ostrich horses in one go.

The guards fell off their ostriches and before they stand up the ground softened swallowing them into the ground. Multiple ostrich horses surrounded the carriage. Then two stepped forward to the carriage unlike the others, who wore battle weathered clothes. One wore a clean suit and the second a masked woman wearing a similar clean suit. "As advertised, quick and efficient." The man said in a monotone.

Two guards ran out of the carriage only to be grabbed by the water bender and their skin turned blue and to floor shiver. "Tie them up or I will pull all the life out of them." As that was said the earth bender raised his hand which freed the guards who were swallowed into the ground, they breathed heavily and unconscious were most of them. The raiders tied them up.

The leader of the raider came by the torn armor and age he was a former general. "Thank you for your assistance." The man in the suit looked at a notebook.

"Four hundred for the terminated ostrich horses, and one hundred for making us keep the guards alive." She spoke the same calculating and monotone voice. "The Shaga have fought a war once sir, I hope you will be able to collect the funds to fight a second one, and this time we hope the funds don't run out." He nodded.

"I know, you mercenaries will fight for the right cause and price. I thank you for that." The water bender nodded.

She giggled. "The united republic is an affront to the four nations, it's existence will bring only unbalanced once the next avatar comes, general shin." He agreed with that sentiment since the founding of the united republic.

"How do you know this?" The man in a suit stepped forward.

"She simply wishes to get extra pay." She shamefully nodded showing this to be the truth.

"She is still right, the united republic will be a hotbed of radicals and revolutionaries, once the one holding the reigns are gone, it will implode across the world." The Former general spoke with so much determination, that caused all his comrades to cheer except the two mercenaries.
