Mail to Noltia

The Rock Bear, who is the Forest Guardian is no longer angry. How did it not see me or catch me is a mystery. Everyone in the village is returning to normal as usual and nobody is pissing themselves which is good. Hyoran and Gris is also no longer shaking as well and everything is normal.

I stare up on the ceiling, thinking about everything. How do I avoid suspicions? How can I evolve someone? Where should I truly start to etch my mark in this world? How can I get more allies, monsters and adventurers alike? Will I ever return to my world even if my body is gone? So many questions. Well, these answers won't come to me now by itself. I should look for them...but not alone.

Tuya and Ezo came to our rooms to see that we're not affected by the roar anymore.

"Hyoran, are you shaking anywhere?" Tuya asked Hyoran with concern.

"I'm fine, Kain and Gris was with me." Hyoran said. Tuya hugged her in relief.

"I'm sorry we're not there for you, but we have to make sure nothing dangerous comes your way." Tuya said.

"It's okay. Mama and papa are strong." Hyoran said, smiling.

"What about you? Are you okay? We had to go, because of the emergency so we had no time." Ezo said to me.

"I'm fine, Hyoran and Gris helped me at home." I said. What I really did is to gain EP from crystals inside of the goblins. I also got involved with the Rock Bear who is also a Forest Guardian. But it's best not to tell them. Ezo patted my head, relieved.

"How old are you, 10?" Ezo said.

"Yeah, both of us are." I answered.

"Once you turn 10, you have the decision to be an adventurer." Ezo said.

"Adventurer?! Like you two?" Hyoran said excitedly.

"Of course, we became adventurers and are very good at it. That's how the Nolten Village was able to develop." Ezo said as he smiled proudly. "Back then, there was less than 100 people, now it reached 1000."

"You can gain money and fame as you complete the quests. Also, you can meet new people." Tuya said.

I already knew that. I wouldn't be surprised if some gruff man adventurer who intimidates newbies and rookies. Or some spoiled noble pretty boy who thinks he's above everybody else where in a real battle his skills suck shit and stays in the back. Or some scumbag who left his allies to die to take the rewards himself. Those are some of the numerous cliches out there that makes you wanna facepalm your skull.

"However..." Tuya said with a serious expression. "Being an adventurer will put you at risk of injury or worse, death. Both of you are strong, but being careless will put you in a dangerous situation. Do you understand?"

I also knew that. That Rock Bear came and I ran for it, despite that, I got caught in its roar. However, the Rock Bear didn't grab me. I'll have to be more careful if anything wants to gank my ass.

"We understand." I said, nodding. Hyoran nodded as well in understanding.

"Good." Tuya said, smiling. She then kissed us on the forehead.

{One day later...}

A day has passed and we were out to see Olken, the man who ran the village and keeps it in order. He is also an adventurer who retired as a Pure Platinum in the games.

"Oh, if it isn't the slime slayers." Olken said with a big smile on his face.

"Us?" Hyoran said.

"Of course, both of you. You took down a colorless slime that is larger and stronger. Usually, you'd run and inform us, but you not only fought it, but defeated it. That crystal is proof of what you did." Olken said presenting us a D rank crystal that we earned from killing the Giant Colorless Slime.

"Check his stats."

[Checking...completed.]

Hmm, he got the skills befitting for a tank role. Let's say...a level 150-300 tank. Spirit Summoning and Metal Magic. Metal Magic is stronger and faster than Earth Magic, but it consumes more MP.

"Hmm, a Gray Wolf Pup. What's his name?" Olken said.

"His name is Gris, Mr. Olken." I answered.

"Gris...a good name. Now about the adventuring, you two are old enough to start adventuring. However, if you want to increase your chances of survival, train and then start adventuring." Olken explained.

Obviously, running out there without a plan is suicide. Especially where monsters have skills that could be a hard counter against your build. Olken specializes in Earth. In his fighting days, I have a Frost Dragon named Cerulos who has a Tier IV Ice Magic and outright trounces him. What's crazy is that Cerulos is a Child. Which he's long before Adult.

"Is there a way to train?" I said.

"Of course, in the Guild in the Noltia Kingdom, there is a training center for all ages." Olken said.

"Okay, we'll go there." I said.

"I understand if you...wait, what?" Olken said, confused.

"We need to face different monsters. Also, we want to train and see how other people do it." I said.

"Yeah, I want to get strong like mama and papa." Hyoran said, nodding.

"Alright, but it's not gonna be now. I'll send a recommendation for the Guild in Noltia. I'll let you know when they reply as it'll take a day or two." Olken said.

In the game, you get there immediately, but looks like I have to wait until we get to Noltia. Slimes were the start, but we can't stay here slaying nothing but slimes for 300 years or goblins for some revenge story. I'll have to wait and see.
