First Seal Break

{Meanwhile...in the Void Realm}

Inside the emptiness of the Void where no sound, no light, and no life, but there is no death either. Only emptiness.

Then here lies a silver being floating in solitude, undisturbed, content, and peaceful...for now. That silver being has existed for years uncountable and yet still continues to count.

That is until he felt a faint connection establish, so faint, that it could've been a fly that buzzed by his head.

But no fly could've ever be in the Void where everyone and everything erodes to nothingness, no matter how powerful a being may be. For that, it could've his sense reacting falsely and dismissed it without hesitation.

But not that being. That being remember that sensation occur when a certain individual that appeared human, but did not erode immediately.

The silver being smiled.

"Heheheh...You have finally broken one of the seals that suppresses your true power." The silver being chuckled. "But do not get complacent nor careless. The Deities will soon become aware of your existence and bring events out of your control."

"Until then, fight to live and to protect. Especially to destroy who threaten. We will meet again...Alden Gray." The silver being gave a wide smile, waiting for future events to unfold.

{Back to the Material Realm...}

[Unlocking unknown skill...complete.]

[Unique Skill acquired. Resurrection(Material)*.]

[Deity threat risk increased to 0.01%.]

After the three messages played, I soon wake up to see that I am inside of a room. Look around and it is darker than usual. Was the shades blocking out the sun?

"System, how long was I out?" I asked.

[You were unconscious for 4 hours.]

4 hours!? Night has fallen at this point! Crap, it should be raining too! I look around to see Hyoran sleeping, holding my left hand tightly. I reach my right hand to touch one of her ears.

"I see you are awake." Arex said. I looked to see her without her wings nor halo.

"Did you carry me?" I said.

"Yes, I carried you swiftly and used Healing and Blessing Magic and yet your life was never in danger." Arex said.

"I gave you guys a bad scare. I'm sorry." I said, feeling sorry that I ended up like this and now the plan is very much scrapped.

"But first, about that skill 'Resurrection', that skill doesn't come to anyone. Every being in this realm would kill for such a skill." Arex said.

Resurrection only occurs when the body of said individual dies. Upon death, they will be revived in a safe location. However, that skill can only be activated once per day. If I die before the cooldown, that's it. In any part of the game it's almost invaluable to everyone.

The only drawback is that the soul must not be destroyed, otherwise it's curtains.

"About that..." I began talking, but Hyoran's ears began to move.

"Huh? Kain?" Hyoran wakes up and sees me talking to Arex. She instantly hops on top of me and hugs me tightly.

"You're okay...! Thank goodness you're okay! Are you hurt anywhere?" Hyoran spoke quickly.

"Yeah, I'm good." I replied. "I'm sorry that I worried you."

"It's okay..." Hyoran sniffled to hold back her tears. "I'm just happy you're okay."

I get up and see Gris, Noire, and Saeva laying near the bed I was resting in. They wake up and jumped on the bed.

"So you guys stayed too." I said, petting them. Then a message went into my head.

[Notice. Rain has begun to fall. Water potency increased.]

Crap! I messed up because of me unlocking the skill! If it's raining now, those bandits will no doubt attack at night and will be spreading my army thin if they spread out! I didn't even start the plan!

"System, when will they attack?"

[One hour and 30 minutes.]

Oh, all is not lost yet. Although, I am behind schedule, I can still fix this. I quickly stand up and began to gather my equipment.

"Kain, you've just recovered. You need rest." Arex implored.

"The bandits will be attacking soon! Of course we're strong, but they have numbers." I protested. "Let's not forget that Zaneth is the strongest out of all of them."

*KA-BANG!*

A door was slammed open. We quickly turned our heads to look at Thompson with his eyes wide open in shock.

"Did you just say Zaneth?" Thompson said.

"Yeah." I answered.

"Oh crap...kid, Zaneth is an infamous bandit! So strong that he could step up to an army of True Platinum Adventurers! He's not someone you can take on!" Thompson said.

He's right. His weapon, his rank, his aura, he ain't something I can take on even with my monsters. If my rank or my regeneration was any lower, I would've died for sure.

"I'm not gonna fight Zaneth directly." I said. Although I did to buy time for Hyoran to escape, but you knew the results. "I'm stalling his armies, chipping them away. Once they became aware, we pull out."

"You'll be relying on your monsters?" Thompson said.

"I wouldn't be here if I hadn't. Besides, our goal is to stall them." I shrugged. "Gris, Noire, Saeva, Arex, come with me."

I grabbed my cloak and halberd and opened the door. Gris, Noire, Saeva, Arex began following me out the door. Hyoran also followed suit.

As we head outside, the rain was pouring down. The sky is dark, the lights from the lanterns and lights inside shine upon the raindrops falling from the black sky.

[Notice. Heavy rain detected. Water and Ice capabilities increased. Fire magic weakened.]

[Moonless night detected. Dark magic strengthened.]

Perfect, with the sound of rain and darkness, ambushing should be easier now. I put on my hood to make sure I avoid detection for bandits.

"Will you be back?" Hyoran said with worried eyes.

She has every right to be worried seeing me collapse like that, but if I can get stronger, I get closer to face Arukatha.

"I will be back." I said, patting Hyoran's head. "I promise."

"Zala, Groza, Santrasa, Burya. Come to me." I commanded.

*Neigh!* *Sputter*

Zala galloped to the steps where Groza, Santrasa, and Burya went front and center. I hopped on Zala and grabbed the reins.

"Wait, Kain." Arex said. I looked and saw Arex.

*Shwing!*

*Bwing!*

Arex turned her wings into pure light and then it disappears. Her halo too also vanishes with light.

"You can do that?" Hyoran said.

"All angels can do it." Arex winked, "But I do need your cloak."

Hyoran hands her the cloak and Arex wears it around her and puts on the hood. She then jumps on Zala and sat sideways.

[55 minutes until bandits attack.]

"We ride!" I yelled and shook the reins.

*Neiiigh!*

Zala neighed and began galloping to the gate. Gris, Noire, Saeva, and Santrasa ran on foot where as Groza and Burya began flying.

We exited the gate where Stein and Flammen were stationed and turned to where the mountain is headed. With Zala's speed, we can get there in no time.

"Let's go Zala!" I shouted with excitement.

*Neiiiiigh!!*

*Swoosh!*

Zala neighed and began sprinting through the raining night sky. The rain that was falling downwards fell towards my face thanks to Zala's blistering speed.

Oh, Zaneth. You may have won this round, but it's time for round two.
