Calm Before the Storm

We run through the rainy night towards the hideout. During the time of our travel a flash of light show the ominous presence of the dark clouds.

*RUMBLE!*

Thunder roared in the sky which is perfect for multiple things, to ambush, to scare, and to sneak out.

[Thunderstorm detected. Lightning magic increased.]

Good, this is perfect. When it's like this, it'll be easier to attack while they're panicking.

We reach the bottom of the path of the mountain and see the bandit camps mostly rebuilt and preparing for the another raid.

"Looks like they're getting ready. Everyone gather around." I said.

The monsters and Arex gathered around and hid in the trees to make sure no keen-eyed bandit sees us out in the open.

[30 minutes until the attack.]

"Okay, here's how we start first. Arex, you can make a grand entrance just like you did before. Now that you're an Archangel, I'm sure they'll be to shocked to move." I said.

"Groza, Burya, fly into the sky to attract the lightning and direct it at this mountain. But don't make it too often or they'll get suspicious."

"Gris, Noire, Saeva, you three will go together and give them a scare and then go wild."

"Lastly, you Santrasa will strike once I withdraw the three. After that, rotate with the three."

"Question. Do I have to return to the Celestial Realm and back to make them look up?" Arex asked.

"Yeah, besides, you'll have to make a big entrance." I said. "But not right now. First, I will make you two stronger."

I began to rank both Groza and Santrasa up and then evolving them.

[EP required for Rank S for Santrasa and Groza: 1,000,000]

[Proceed?]

"Yes."

[Acknowledged.]

Lightning began to dance around Groza and Santrasa as I ranked them up. The lightning became stronger and then bursts upwards.

[Rank up complete. Santrasa and Groza are now Rank S.]

[Acquired skills for Groza. Lightning Magic-VII, Wind Magic-VII.]

[Acquired skill for Santrasa. Lightning Magic-XII.]

Good, good, now they have more power to use for the lightning and cause more damage. With that, my preparations are complete.

"[Arex, return.]" I said in Celestial Language.

Arex nodded and her entire body turns into pure light.

*SHWING!*

Arex soon vanishes into a streak of light, flying up into the sky and through the clouds.

[Arex has returned to the Celestial Realm.]

Now that we've started we shall go through with it.

"Groza, Burya, fly in the clouds." I commanded.

*Caw!*

*Kiiek!*

Groza and Burya flew upwards towards the sky where the lightning dances above and all that is left is Gris, Noire, and Saeva.

{Meanwhile...at the mountainside.}

The bandits walk around and station their tents in the pouring rain. The bandits stationed there are wearing cloaks to shield them from the rain, to avoid catching an illness. Here lies two bandits standing guard at the front most mountain that takes them 2 minutes to walk on foot from here to the forest.

"Those crows are nasty. Who knew that there is a Plasma and a Sunny Crow near here." one bandit sighed in mental exhaustion.

"Damn straight. Their magic outright decimated our barriers too and us as well. We're lucky that they decided to fly off." the other bandit agreed.

"Had they not flew off, Zaneth would turn them into stew." the bandit grinned.

"Yeah, we'd have a feast."

The two bandits chuckled as to ignore the cold rain beating down on them which could drain anyone's morale. That is until...

*KRA-KOOOM!*

The thunder let out an explosive crash, the bandits outside or in were startled by that thunder. The thunder echoes through the dark clouds.

"Damn, that thunder was loud! I can feel it in my bones!" yelled the bandit holding his ears.

*Splash!*

The bandit noticed that a sword fell to the puddle and looked at the other bandit. He picked it up to give it to him.

"Hey, you dropped this." he said, but no response. "Hey now, the thunder was loud, but it can't be THAT bad, right?"

The bandit then noticed a bright light shining upon them. A light unlike the thunder above that is a flash, but a constant one.

"Sunlight? But the night ain't even over!" the bandit thought. He looked where the light came from and his expression went from confusion to astonishment.

A figure with two pure white bird-like wings gently descends from the skies surrounded by a warm light. The figure wears a pure white dress, decorated with a single silver stripe.

Along with it lies a double halo above the figure's head, emitting a silver glow.

"Is that...a Heavenkin?" one of the bandits said.

"Holy crap! A Heavenkin is descending from the sky!" one of the bandits yelled in astonishment.

"It's a once-in-a-lifetime sight to see!" the other said.

{Meanwhile, in the cave.}

Zaneth is sitting down, reviewing the map regarding Noltia and Ergex. With Zaneth losing a Rock Bull, losing Grundel, Arzus, and Eidra, he'll have to rethink his strategy. It also didn't help that he lost a significant number of allies from the recent attack.

"Boss! There's trouble!" yelled one of the bandits.

"What?" Zaneth growled.

"A Heavenkin came from the sky! Everyone is looking at it!" one of the bandits yelled.

"How did it come down?" Zaneth said.

"We don't know, it just came out of nowhere."

Zaneth sighed and grabbed his sword. He then stands up and began walking.

{To the entrance... (3rd Person)}

"Children of man, your continuous sin and depravity has festered for too long." said the Heavenkin in a authoritative voice.

"What kind of sin? Being too handsome?" mocked the cat beastkin. The bandits began laughing after cracking a joke. The heavenkin kept speaking while ignoring them.

"Therefore, if you surrender the mountain to the respective animals and seek redemption, your soul can be saved." said the Heavenkin.

"If you can come down, maybe you can give us a taste of heaven that way!" one goblin yelled.

Laughter exploded forth from the joke from the goblin.

The Heavenkin closed her silver eyes, disappointed with the masses that they mock her presence. But it was something more behind that.

"More are coming to my location. And yet they're not afraid of me, Kain." The Heavenkin said telepathically.

"Don't worry, Arex. They'll have a good reason to be afraid. Wrap it up." Kain said. Arex nodded and returned to the matter at hand.

"Since you show no sign of repentance, your soul will be tormented for eternity. You had your chance." Arex said.

The light around her grew bright, engulfing her whole and then disappeared completely.

"Aww, she's gone." one bandit mockingly said.

"H-hey, what the hell is that thing!?" someone yelled.

The bandits looked and their smiling faces soon faded away at the ominous sight.

Here lies a monster walking towards the crowd. Slowly, but inching closer like a predator to catch its prey. But that was not the reason why they were scared.

They were seeing something unusual, yet disturbing. Red eyes, green eyes, and purple eyes. Three sets of eyes glow in the dark night due to the distant lanterns and yet the faces are not known.

"Is that...what I think it is?" one bandit said, hinted with fear.

The six-eyed monster let out a menacing growl at the army, releasing an aura of intimidation. That aura washes over the bandits, gripping them with fear.

"I...I can't move!"

"What the hell is that thing!? Do something!"

"If I do something, I feel like that thing will kill me!"

Panic ensues the masses from the six eyed monster. The reason it did not attack is unknown to them, but it is for one single person in hiding. The mastermind hidden in the shadows and in the distance.

The mastermind named Kain said one thing...

"Kill them all."
