"The reason why I returned to my realm is not because of Zaneth resisting my Light Magic or Holy Magic, it is because of Zaneth became a Hero." Arex explained. "Heroes are born by multiple certain circumstances that are met. Once they're met, they become awakened, gaining tremendous power."
"Then, that what caused my tail to spike when I was sleeping." Hyoran gasped.
"They awaken when they were blessed by at least one of the Deities, the more Deities a person is blessed, the stronger the effect." Arex said.
"But Zaneth didn't get any blessings, if he did, I would've seen it." I interjected.
"That comes with the second circumstance, they have to overcome a traumatic, near-death combat-related experience." Arex added.
Just like the time when I resurfaced Zaneth's trauma by commanding the undead at his doorstep. It made him think Wulnus is commanding them despite him not being here.
However, if I killed them all, both armies would've gotten suspicious and found out the information was fake or would've saw me commanding them, complicating things since both Ergex and Noltia despises Necromancy.
"Lastly, and the most difficult of all is completing the Hero Trial. A person must go through mock exams, mock battles, practical battles, and have their basic elements at no lower than Tier V. All the while they must have a rank of S or higher. To avoid any fraudulence or sabotage, an Archangel like me will observe the candidates. It occurs once in every 10 years."
Arex explained what it takes to become a hero. Zaneth overcoming the trauma became a Hero and gained a lot of skills and strengthened pre-existing ones.
"Then, why did you return at the sight of Zaneth becoming a Hero?" I asked.
"It is because of one of the laws made by the Deities. No Heavenkin are to attack a hero nor assist the hero's enemy, even if the hero's enemy is a Celestine." Arex said.
"If a Heavenkin were to break that law will become a Fallen. Once a Heavenkin becomes a Fallen, they will remain that way for eternity." Arex trembles. "I'm sorry, it makes me shudder just by mentioning it."
The Fallen are Heavenkins who have broken the law and is banished from the Celestial Realm. The Fallen are hated by both Heavenkin and Hellkin alike. Heavenkins treats the Fallen as the outcasts and the Hellkins hated the Fallen just as the Heavenkin since the Heavenkins used to kill their kind.
The Fallen exists in the game as these guys are unbounded by any Deity or law. However, compared to players who play as the Heavenkin, Hellkin or Dragon, the Fallen has the lowest compared to the three, sometimes even lower than Deities.
The reason being is that existence can use both skills and magics exclusive to those two races. While that is good on paper by being versatile, but if the Fallen player reaches level 100, both Heavenkin and Hellkin periodically comes after the player, but not together.
But at 350, both might come at the same time. At 500, a Deity will get involved. As the Fallen player gets stronger, they will encounter stronger enemies. But at 750 and over, a Fallen will have to deal with every race until the Fallen player is dead.
It is fairly easy to get, but it can be a nightmare if played casually. I played that race and I couldn't get to Level 800 because of the army of Archdemons, Powers, Saviors, Destroyers, and many more.
In the end, being a Fallen is a sure way path to destruction.
"I am deeply sorry for abandoning you," Arex said as she leaned downward while she is on her knees. "But I cannot risk becoming a Fallen. I hope you understand."
"Don't be hard on yourself, Arex. You doing within your authority." I said. "But I have one more question."
"What is your question?" Arex said.
"Can a person lose their hero awakening?" I said.
"Yes, if they attack a civilian, any follower of any Deity, a Heavenkin, a Celestine, or a Deity unprovoked, that said hero would have its blessings revoked." Arex said.
"The reason he did attack me is because I attacked him first when he awakened." I said.
"Yes, but in normal circumstances, a Celestine attacking a Hero unprovoked is within grounds of having their title revoked instantly." Arex said. "When I returned to my realm, there was no commotion about a Celestine going rogue."
It is because I am an existence that they thought they got rid of. But I'll leave that little information out for now.
*Ssss...*
I look over to the pot, but Hyoran was not there. I stood up to see Hyoran is emitting steam from her ears as our conversation was too complex for her, causing to fall on her side in a daze. Viridesca who saw her started poking her cheeks playfully while Fennec sits on her chest.
I see the pot letting out a wisps of steam, knowing the food is ready.
"We'll talk later, Arex." I said.
Arex nodded and smiled until she vanished into a silvery light.
*Bwing!*
I opened the lid and steam bellowed out from the pot, making some smokescreen. The pot l made showed contents of the floating cooked meat that was once red. turned brown.
My nose catches a whiff of a mixture of pepper, thyme, carrots, and lettuce. But the meat...it smells like steak, with the side of chicken. Is it really either of those two?
When it came to that scent, Hyoran's ears twitched as she smelled the food. The daze she was in was broken and quickly sat upwards, causing Fennec to roll onto her legs.
"Something smells good." Hyoran said in a near trance-like state.
"It's stew." I answered. Hyoran sniffed and her face lit up.
"It's the Red Cow Meat! Mama and Papa told us about the Red Cows past the Telgrin Mountains towards the Veldiar Meadows where there are a lot of Red Cows!" Hyoran said with delight.
Veldiar Meadows is past the Telgrin Mountains. Monsters in Telgrin Mountains are ranked D through A. The mountains are treacherous, the foods there on the mountains are scarce, and the monsters are very aggressive. However, Dragons are rare, even for Drakes and Wyverns. For younger Dragons, they live in caves in their Child and Adolescent forms. In the caves in Telgrin Mountains, it was too small for most Child Dragons, even the biggest one there can barely house a Adolescent Dragon.
But it's only treacherous if travelers were to go anywhere but the paths laid out for them.
Then, the Veldiar Meadows where the Red Cows and Rock Bulls are common. How the Red Claw Bandits catch one is when they caught a lone bull when it had its guard down. Obviously, there are no Dragons here, but further out, leads to a place far worse than the Telgrin Mountains.
It's a place called Great Dystroark Forest. It's a place where monsters ranging from rank G to V. It is a forest where no Kingdom would even dare to go there for long despite its bountiful materials because of the large amounts of monsters and their aggression.
But that's not all, the Dystroark Forest is also rife with PVP. Whatever the reason, be it to gain rare materials, level up, rule the forest, they have to fight for it to earn it. I'm obviously no exception.
Also, there is no proximity based hierarchy either, so there's a chance some low ranked adventurer meet a Rank B-V monster the moment they enter the forest.
Yeah, that's my goal. We'll go to the Great Dystroark Forest and establish a village and grow from there!
But first...I'm gonna focus on getting to Nolten Village.
