Returning to Nolten (Part 1)

I quickly wake up and sit upward out of the sudden dream I was in, covered in sweat. I look at my hand that I am still in a child body.

Is it really a dream? It felt sort of real that Timothy was here, but he knows Arukatha. How? Why? Well, no use dwelling on that now.

I looked around to see that everything is brighter, brighter than my campfire. The birds are chirping, the winds are blowing gently, causing the leaves to sway.

The rain stopped and the sun is out.

"Guess I'm back." I thought. "That was one weird dream." I sigh from relief.

Then, multiple messages appear in front of me.

[Hidden Skill unlock complete.]

[Unique Skill acquired. Space Magic-I, Space Resistance.]

[Skill restriction reduced.]

[Rank restriction reduced.]

[Deity threat increased to 0.06%.]

Space Magic? So it is one of the hidden skills. Awesome. I can use it in multiple means when it comes to attacking, defending, or escaping. Especially when I can do Dimensional Storage.

I look to my right to see Hyoran and Fennec sleeping peacefully together. I smiled at how they are adorable together.

I look at Dichrome, Gris, and Noire sleeping without any trouble. Especially Schwarze and Paura.

I stood up to look for Viridesca who turned into a magical sphere after I told her to go on and evolve.

She is still there, not moving a single inch. But she is bigger than an apple now and is pulsating green light like a heartbeat.

I pick her up and hold her securely like I am protecting a large emerald gem with my life.

[Attention. Viridesca's evolution is nearing completion.]

[Time until completion: 15 seconds.]

Oh, she's almost done! I briskly sneaked around Gris, Noire, and Dichrome to make sure they're not awake. I exit the rock tent to see Mirtis, Mavros, and the other Death Knights stationed.

[5 seconds until completion.]

[Four.]

[Three.]

[Two.]

[One.]

[Zero.]

*Shing!*

The green orb began shining brightly and began floating upwards. Mirtis and Mavros turn to see the green light flashing brightly.

"All of you go to my shadows." I said.

*Shoom!*

My undead bodyguards quickly went into my shadow as to protect them from the light and the orb kept glowing brighter.

*Crack!*

The orb is beginning to crack and soon float off of my hands. The tiny crack soon appear again and slowly multiply.

*Woooo...*

The wind began gathering around the fracturing orb and soon become a miniature cyclone, covering the entire orb.

*BWOOOSH!*

The cyclone exploded into a gust of wind and streaks of green light, blinding me.

As the wind and light dies down, I opened my eyes. To become amazed on what am I seeing.

Viridesca, who looks like a child smaller than Hyoran now matured to what a kid who just hit the double digits. Her short green hair now reaches to her neck. She is taller, making her feet reach out from her green dress.

Viridesca gently floats down until her feet is inches above the ground. She opened her emerald green eyes.

[Evolution complete. Viridesca has evolved to Grand Wind Elemental.]

[Due to evolution, Viridesca has now risen to Rank A+.]

"Did you sleep well, Viri?" I said.

Viridesca noticed me and gave me a big smile when she evolved to a High Wind Elemental. She then hugged me as well.

*Nudge*

I feel a nudge from my leg and look back to see Gris, Noire, and Dichrome greeting me.

"Morning, guys." I said, petting the three.

*Caw!*

The cries of a crow calls out and I look up to see Vampa, Burya and Groza descending down to the ground. Then I see Taudera, Santrasa, Steinberg, and Flammenberg coming from the bushes.

"Morning to you." I said, petting them.

"So noisy..." Hyoran said in a drowsy tone as she walks out with Fennec. "Huh?"

"Morning, Hyoran." I said. Hyoran blinked to clear her vision and sees Viridesca in a bigger, stronger form.

"Kain...is that Viridesca?" Hyoran said.

"Yeah, she evolved naturally." I nodded. Viridesca floated over to Hyoran and poked her cheeks from both sides.

"Wow...she's around our size." Hyoran gasped and held Viridesca's hands. "So, when are we moving?"

"Soon, but I have to find a way to put our four biggest monsters somewhere without anyone knowing. Besides Shadow Sneak." I said. "Which I got the perfect magic."

"Isn't Dark Magic the perfect one for stealth along with Shadow Sneak?" Hyoran said, tilting her head.

"Shadow Sneak is a great skill to have. However, it has weaknesses. We cannot go into our own shadows, we cannot go into shadows less than half our size; not initially at least, and we cannot use the skill if we're airborne." I explained. "But that's just scratching the surface."

"But Mavros is much bigger than us." Hyoran said.

"Mavros is a Wraith, making him an exception. Wraiths don't have a definite size; neither do ghosts nor spirits." I replied.

"Enough about that, I have gotten a new magic better than Dark and Shadow Sneak entirely." I smiled.

"What is it?" Hyoran said, anxious.

"Space Magic." I answered.

"Space?" Hyoran blinked.

I put my hand out and a small pocket of air began to vibrate visually. Then, a blue ripple began to emit.

*Vvvooom!*

A hollow blue sphere was created at the palm of my hand.

"That's Space Magic?" Hyoran said. I nodded.

"This will allow us to put the larger ones like Stein into an isolated space where no one can find them but us." I said. "I'll show you."

I walked into the stone tent and took out my halberd.

*Vvmmm!*

I enlarged and turned the ripple into a flat disk that spans over my hand and put the halberd in pole first. The pole that would've touched my hand disappears into the ripple.

Hyoran's wolf ears and tail spiked and trembled as my halberd is being sent into an isolated space.

As the Halberd is inside, I closed my hand.

*Vzzoom!*

The ripple closed and disappears completely.

"It's gone...wasn't that your best weapon?" Hyoran said.

"Not exactly." I said.

*Vzoom!*

I opened the ripple and reached inside to pull out the same halberd.
