Another Outworlder

==This chapter is dedicated to a character that was introduced WAY early in the story.==

I am Ashley. Ashley Rays. And I am a Blue Dragon at the Child Phase. My name here in this world? I go by the name Za'trika, daughter of the Azure Storm Dragon, Za'taranga.

Meaning, she is my mother. Now, you're wondering how I got here.

Well, it was back when I was in New York where Alden was trapped and most likely killed from the intense radiation. Every rebel, including Andre, Danny, and I exited the tower before we're locked in.

We were holding the president and took him to the vice president and have him arrested. With the video I recorded, it was certain that all of America and hopefully the world would know of his deeds and those working with him.

Or so I thought...

*KZZZZZRRRTT!!*

The grating buzzing noises came from my left pocket and I noticed it was my geiger going off.

I took a look and saw that the radiation was showing 'ERROR' on the screen. I looked back and saw green smoke going through the metal shutters.

We began to book out of here, but the building inside began exploding and large amounts of radiation flooded the lobby and began leaking out of the building in the rain.

Not even an hour later, news spread across the nation, saying Timothy has been charged on multiple counts and lost his presidency. 4 hours later, the world caught wind and has been arresting other people that had a hand for the conspiracy.

The war was won. Although reaching normalcy will not happen in the near future due to the reactor blowing up, but at least the world is not falling into total chaos.

But...any wise person would say "There is no victory without sacrifice." I'd say they're right. We lost a lot of rebels in the war, over 10 million of them. Suzana and Alden were also killed.

Knowing Alden's siblings, it is right for us to let them know of his passing, so we prepare ourselves to head to New Jersey.

Five days later, I began vomiting blood and collapsed. Danny and Andre took me to a doctor and found out that I suffered radiation poisoning, causing cancers that are already in my lungs, kidneys, and liver to progress faster.

Yeah, I had three types of cancers 3 weeks before the war ended and the reason I didn't tell any of them is because that I don't wanna deflate any morale before the final battle.

By the time I was in the hospital, the doctors said that there's nothing that could be done.

Andre and Danny took Alden's brother and sister, Desmond and Nia to the hospital to meet me.

These two in Alden's opinion were adorable and I agree, they are adorable. But it hurts me seeing them cry after losing their big brother.

I don't want to make their lives worse than it is for them, but lying to them would leave a bad taste in my mouth.

"Is Ashley going to be okay?" Nia sniffled, trying to not cry again.

I want to say yes, but my cheeks are sunken, I lost a lot of weight, my breathing is ragged, and I could barely muster any strength in my legs.

"Sorry, Desmond, Nia...I wished it could've went cleanly." I wheezed.

"Don't be..." Desmond shook his head, wiping his tears. "Our brother was happy when he was with you. Especially Suzana...she is pretty."

I already knew Alden and Suzana were meant for each other and it was obvious. It's just a shame that they were gone so early.

But...it looks like I'm next in line to see them too.

"Desmond, Nia, I need you two to be strong. Be strong for Alden, that's what he wanted." I wheezed to speak again. "If there's anything you need, ask these two."

The two nodded and Andre left with the two. Danny grabbed a chair and sat down.

"Danny...you and Andre know what to do once I am gone, right?" I said.

"Yeah." Danny said, nodding. "Leave it to us."

Danny left the hospital room and I looked out of the window to see not at the aftermath of the war, but at the bright blue sky, contemplating the times we have in our lives and mine.

The time we had as kids, in schools, college, through the good and bad. Even though it was short, it was satisfying in the end.

And that blue sky was the last thing I saw.

{Now...}

Now, here I am. A blue dragon named Za'trika that is the daughter of one of the Elder Dragons, Za'taranga.

My skills are like this...

This interface I see is similar to the games I played, but it showed neither stat numbers nor levels. Despite the difference, Za'taranga's skills are exactly the same as I remembered.

"Now tell me, my daughter Za'trika. Have you ever heard of the name Kain Void?" Za'taranga asked.

Kain Void...no way...Alden's username? He's alive!? In my 30 years here, I have came to terms that I am alone, but to think Alden is here...

But before I could answer, Za'taranga looked to her left and shot lightning from her eyes.

*Bzoom!*

*BOOOM!!*

A loud explosion rang out, shaking the ground beneath my feet. I ran out of the cave to see a blue barrier. The barrier was riddled with cracks and then gave way.

I now see a group of five people in front of me.

A human knight with a sword and shield wearing a silver and yellow plated armor. An elven mage wearing a green dress and cloak. An orc archer with an eyepatch on his left eye covering a scar. A felian beastkin assassin that is wearing a black and dark blue bodysuit.

Lastly, there is a short human healer wearing a white and red cloak, hunching over. Unlike the other ones that are clean and focused, this human is covered in dirt and fatigued. His white cloak is also shown with rips and tears. Additionally, he's carrying a large load of luggage.

I check their names and ranks.

Despite that healer's appearance, it's a balanced party party

"Who dares to invade my domain!?" Za'taranga roared. The knight, Gunther stepped forward and pointed his sword at her.

"Maelvolent dragon! Your days of terror ends here!" Gunther declared. "The cries of the citizens dictates that you must die!"

I knew it. There are some cliche lines, cliche abuse, neglect, and revenge themes and whatnot. Yet, we read them.

*THOOM!*

Za'taranga stomped the ground, creating a crater in the shape of her foot to assert dominance.

"I am the Azure Storm Dragon, Za'taranga. I move and the storm follows." she announced. "If you wish to see another day, you will be wise to leave this place."

Za'taranga emits a stormy blue aura, causing lightning to dance around her. Her Storm Aura not only reduces the resistance of Lightning and Water, it interferes with Perception. Also, her allies like me gains Lightning and Water Resistance and buffs my said magic.

"To allow the citizens of Kelmia to suffer?! We will not allow it!" Gunther replied.

"Za'trika, if you do know the person named Kain Void, he is last seen in the center of Dystoark." Za'taranga said to me telepathically.

Za'taranga and Gunther began exchanging words while I flew in the other direction. Since I don't have Concealment, I better be in a good distance.

Seeing that the healer is the weakest in terms of rank and the most neglected, I charge my Tempest Magic and aimed at his head.

"Last time I observed that kingdom, they weren't in the slightest concerned." Za'taranga said.

"That is because they send sacrifices to you to appease your anger out of fear!" Gunther yelled and points his sword above his head. "With your death, they will fear no more!"

*BZOOOOM!!*

*BOOM!!* *BOOM!!* *BOOM!!* *BOOM!!* *BOOM!!*

I fired my magic and the results was explosive. The sounds of thunder rang out and echoed throughout the mountain.

I jumped down to the impact site to finish off the Healer by biting the neck. But I realized that the healer is missing half of his body. So, I grab the giant bag.

As the dust settles the mage, knight, and the assassin managed to survive. The archer shared the same fate as the healer.

"No way...there's more than one dragon?" Tiona gasped.

"I...I couldn't even sense it." Azia said. "Vergox and Tinot is dead as well."

I put my foot on the healer to show them that I was responsible in killing him and then something began welling inside.

A dark aura began to form around me. It was then, that I have gained skills.
