sweet nightmare- part1

It was more than an hour, as they had to take Zoe all around the mansion to show her the rooms, from the last floor to the fifth floor, but they were some rooms that she was not allowed into, including the royal dine, the throne room and into other doors that looked suspicious to Zoe.

"Williams!" Eliot shouted for the butler to walk towards him, with his head lowered "yes my lord", "take her to my room…, and make sure all the windows, doors and any possible way of escape is locked"

"Yes my lord", Eliot's eye's fell on Zoe, smirking creepily, before turning around as he walked through the halls, humming a disturbing tune underneath his breath silently, Zoe was sure he was going to attend to some urgent issues with the twins that had started to fight, and shout about how they hated each other and wished to tear their heads apart.

The butler seeing his master not around anymore, turned to face Zoe, "follow me, and bow your head when walking, it is appropriate at all times, for a girl In your status if you know what is best for you, you won't go making trouble while the lord's not around", Zoe gave a slight nod to what he said. Minutes passed as they walked through the halls and up some stairs, towards Eliot's room in silence, but the silence was broken when the butler halted his footsteps, followed by Zoe's "were here"

Zoe stared at the two handled golden door in front of her in astonishment, in all her life she had never seen doors that were as big and large as the ones in front of her, decorated in gold. She thought it was a door to another hall but with the butler's statement she knew that they were right in front of his room. The butler named Williams opened one part of the door and led Zoe inside the room.

Zoe's eyes widened in shock. Everything she saw in the room was breath taking, from the first-class furniture's to the glorious chandeliers that hung high on the ceiling, red candles on each side of the wall making the room look classy, an opened glass door leading to the balcony and from where Zoe stood she could see the greenish woods and the forests underneath the night sky, with the view she had from where she stood, it looked beautiful. There was an enormous, round shaped, king sized bed at the end of the wall right in the middle of the room next to the balcony door on the right, covered in a rubicund duvet. Silk-like curtains that twirled around on the four edges of the king-sized bed. On the bed sat six dark-red pillows. The pillow's color elegant, looking nothing less to that of a human's blood.

After Zoe took in every single details of the room from top to bottom, she turned her head to face Williams before speaking, "E-excuse me ... where can I take a bath", Williams pointed towards a door to where Zoe stood at her left.

The butler closed all the opened windows including the balcony door before walking out of Eliot's room, Zoe didn't say a word, all she did was watch the way Williams closed the windows until he exited the room, 'what can I do now?' she looked towards the door Williams had pointed to and headed for it, when she was at the door she opened it to see glass antiques, a classy sink and two magnificently designed towels resting on the side of a tub.

The bathtub was classically designed, it was large and wide, it sat in the middle of the bathroom, more like a pool, the walls were white with tiny gray patterns on it, and the bathroom itself was breath taking. Zoe breathed in the little air that surrounded the room, to smell the fresh and natural scent of flowers, closing her eyes, she imagined herself in a meadow of beautiful flowers 'it feels so peaceful in here', Zoe walked cautiously towards the bathtub, too afraid that she might break something.

The faucet of the tap had been turned on by Zoe few moments, when the bath was half-filled turning it off leaving the room, quiet. The wind and the night's cricket was the only thing that filled her ears. Zoe took a glass bottle, with little red rose designs on them from the edge of the bathtub, just to get a closer look at it, because from all the bottles there the only bottle that made her curious was that bottle, not knowing what the bottle was she uncorked it, smelling the substance in it, 'it smells more like Eliot but masked with his cologne', Zoe thought to herself as she poured a little of the substance in the bathtub and the water began to froth. Unbuttoning her dress she finally let the dress (rags) fall down from her body.

The air that was previously warm had turned cold now that she had no clothes on her body. Her body was bear. pulling out the band that held her hair together, she let it fall freely upon her back reaching her waist, as some of her black hair fell on the side of her face. Stepping out and away from the rags she had removed, she pushed it away to a corner. Walking on the cold floor, she made her way towards the bathtub.

When she came near the tub, she first placed one leg into the warm tub which felt good because of the cold temperature that surrounded her. Putting another leg in it, she let her body dip down slowly in the frothy like bubbled water which had filled up the bathtub.

*SIGH*

'This feels like heavens' she said sinking deeper into the water, as her hair floated to the top, covering her face softly.

Zoe closed her eyes, as she sank deep in thoughts, 'It's being long since I last had a good bath.., I remember when mom would always give me a bath, she'd make the water foamy enough so I could relax in it and when I was done with my bath, she made me wear huge clothes that covered my entire body, before she would do my hair'.

~ ~ ~

Zoe was in the bath for so long that she didn't realize when the water got cold…, she drained the foamy water, rinsing the soap out of her body, before stepping out of the bathtub, as she walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her chest and her hair soaked and wet, falling on her waist. Zoe scanned the room to look for suitable clothes to put on, 'didn't the butler remember to leave any clothes behind?' Zoe turned her head right to spot a gray shirt on a leather chair, near a white wooden dressing table, 'that'll do for now … I guess' walking toward it Zoe reached for the shirt, grabbing it in her hands, she let the towel fall to the ground, as she put a hand through the shirt, buttoning it from the top to the bottom. The clothing stopped at her knee leaving the remaining part of her legs bare, Zoe found the cloth to be comfortable and well relaxed, although the cloth was shabby and had no designs on it, Zoe was grateful for the little she had.

Walking to the windows she carefully observed it, as she tried opening it, with what she had seen when Williams closed the windows, but she did it the opposite way so it could open. Successfully, to her luck it opened.

She did it to receive some calm night breeze, '(sigh)I've never felt this relaxed in my whole life', Zoe thought to herself as she looked down from the window, watching the night breeze blow on the tree leaves making them sway back and forth. Her eyes trailed from the trees then far ahead, but her eyes paused when she spotted a figure from afar, and it wasn't just a person standing, to Zoe it looked like as if the figure was stabbing something or someone continually, 'Jesus!.., what is that' Zoe's breath immediately hitched in her throat when she realized the figure watching her from below 'oh God! I think he spotted me' realizing the situation Zoe immediately shut the window closed. Kneeling down underneath the windows to hide herself from being seen, 'I knew it! I shouldn't have opened these windows,' peaking from where she was, with her hands that was now on her chest from the fear that erupted in her, she realized that the figure had disappeared.

"What!?", Zoe tried squinting her eyes into the far sides of the forest, in an effort to spot anything, but got nothing , with her breath that was now shaky and her heart beating rapidly in her chest.

*GASP*

'I never saw anything…, I never saw anything…, I never saw anything…!' squeezing her eyes, Zoe repeated the words, in her subconscious mind, in an act of trying to calm the fear that swirled within her as she opened her eye's slowly. "Calm down Zoe, it was nothing (sigh) [laughing slightly in relief] I almost thought it was a-", Zoe flinched, her breath whiny when she felt someone's breath, warm on her neck, and without turning, Zoe instinctively grabbed onto anything next to her, but grabbed a pillow from the humongous bed, without realizing it. Turning around, she wacked the person repeatedly, not stopping as she placed all her fears and anger upon the helpless victim, but stopped when she heard a familiar voice, "what do you think you are doing?!"
