In the sewers the hunter squad was busy defending themselves, the absence of two among the six of them did put extra burden. Cai tang was using Ice mainly for defense, as the number of monsters increased Zheng used the 7 Warrior soul essence he had for later use to empower his Stars to permanently take his lightning on level 5.

Meanwhile to release some burden from the squad he said, "Guys, draw back!!"

Hearing him captain Xu, Cai Tang and Fei Shi stepped back to a safe distance, Zheng stretched out his hands. " Thunder seal: electric field!!!"

The ground in a specific area became filled with lightning bolts. This took the hunter squad by surprise. As every Strong Minion under the area of influence dropped dead just like that. "That was….!" " Not a level 3 spell" Completed Zheng after Fei Shi stopped talking.

Captain Xu went on full offence along with Zheng, Cai and Fei Shi were trying there best to work as defense mage, in the next minute only sounds of explosions were heard in the area.

These giant eye rats are experts at digging holes and they appears to be living in a very big hole under the sewers which is there nest.

Captain Xu: I'm almost running out of magic, we should fall back. The backup is on the way, we just might run in to them!

Cai Tang: We don't know how much more monster are in there, we better close the hold temporarily before we retreat.

Said Zheng as he started moving closer to the hole. When he was within a range he casted his new spell, thunder seal: Shocking net.

He threw a lightning net on the exit of the hole which completely stopped the monsters that were coming nonstop.

The monsters came to a realization after a moment that they can't get out as anyone that get close to the net is electrocuted.

The squad dropped to the ground exhausted after the fatigue caught up to them and the effect of adrenaline wore off.

Laying on the ground Captain Xu said " Huff, huff!! This was one hell of a night!" " *gasp*I never felt this much fatigue" replied Cai Tang " At least we avoided a disaster, I say it's worth the effort" Fei Shi said in a relief. "Yea, same here!!" Said Captain and Cai tang in concur.

*2 minutes earlier*

In another place Li Wenjie came out of the sewer and started looking around to see if the backup arrived. Confirming they hadn't he again called. " This is Li Wenjie from city hunter squad, we requested an emergency backup at Ming Wen Middle School, I need an update!!! Our team is running out of magic, and our water mage is already exhausted" "Sir yes sir, a mid tier team is already dispatched, they'll be arriving at any moment, please hold on till then!!" replied a man on the other end.

Wenjie dropped the call and was thinking of going back to help but stopped. He somehow wanted to put his trust in Lieren, that he'll cover their absence in the team. A moment later two vehicles arrived and hunters started coming out of them. To his surprise two teams came as a backup.

Team 2 Captain: When we heard a nest of monster is discovered in a city we also decided to tag along mid- tier team, are you guys ok? Is anyone injured among you.

Li Wenjie: we are fine, can't say the same about the rest down there, Go as fast as you can!

He told them to go inside as fast as possible to which they nodded, there wind mages took the team members using wind track. As they entered they were amazed by seeing the number of monster corpses which created same kind of thought in their mind!

Yang Zuo Ke: ' Can't believe a team of 6 novice tier mages took down this many'

As they reached where the rest of the team was, they were surprised seeing the team sitting on the ground catching their breath and a masked guy standing there whom some of them recognized.

Yang Zuo Ke: 'That guy!! Since when did he joined them?'

Captain Xu: Ao Great! Zuo Ke you also came, *Huff* Lieren temporarily blocked the opening of that hole, I don't know how many are still inside, *Huff* but I'm sure there is at least a warrior class monster inside leading this big nest!

Yang Zuo Ke: Yes I figured! Guys two of you escort them out of here, we'll handle the situation from here!.

Zuo Ke said to Novice team members that tagged along.

Mid-tier team guy: Sir we don't have a lightning mage and without paralyzing a warrior class monster, it will be hard to deal with.

Listening to them, Zuo Ke was also contemplating as they haven't confirmed how strong the warrior class monster they could be facing. As he looked toward Zheng he said. "Mr. Lieren can you cast that spell again?"

He could feel the power that net was emitting and was sure that wasn't mid-tier spell. He use to keep any eye on the new stars of their association, and he already concluded many of his thoughts regarding Lieren the lightning expert. He was sure about his powers to be higher then anyone in the novice tier. This led him to ask for his assistant in the matter.

Mid-tier team guy: But Sir—

The guy who asked wanted to say that a warrior class is immune to novice tier spell but Zuo Ke stopped him by raising his hand.

Zuo Ke: Mr. Lieren?

The City hunter team members were taken back to the surface, and Zheng stayed behind. The mages took there positions and one of them gestured to Zheng to remove his net from the opening of the hole. Yang Zuo threw a mid-tier water spell in the hole which killed dozen upon dozen of minions, after that he used his strong wind to increase the size of the entrance of that hole and incited the leader to come out.

A Scale skinny demon came out in an aggressive way. He was bombarded with mid-tier spells of Water, wind, fire and ice, the moment he was paralyzed by Zheng level 5 lightning net.

To there relief it was just a weak warrior which couldn't take all those direct hits and they were able to take the rest of them down quite easily. After the whole ordeal the team searched around the whole school for any other monsters lurking in some hidden places until they were assured it was safe. Still the school was closed for a weak to further confirm the surroundings as well.

Outside of the school the city hunter team were taken care of by the emergency staff for some bruises they had gotten specially after their water mage was out of the battle.

Zheng had told city hunter team of his depart to check up on the girl he saved earlier. Meanwhile the hunter team were disposing the corpses of minions they found.

Yang ZuoKe: How did a small team like you manage to get that guy into your team Xu Dahuang, to my knowledge that guy was the sole lightning mage who was never even once approached by any Ancient magic family or an organization even with his high achievements at a mere novice-tier.

Captain Xu: He came to us.. hahaha can you believe that.

Li Wenjie: Seriously I didn't know that, I was sure there will be a big line of sponsors with what element he had.

Wen Jie also commented on the news they just heard from ZuoKe.

Yang Zuo: Yea!! What a luck! And Wenjie, he doesn't need a sponsor. The spells he used back there were level 4 and 5, you know how much expensive it is to increase power like that. A minimum of 190 Million worth resources.

She straight went toward her sister with a bit of tears in her eyes, set close to her and started caressing her hair in an endearing manner. That went on and on for half an hour until Zheng arrived.

He directly went inside his apartment by opening its lock, as he came inside he went toward the kitchen where He yu and XinXia were making something for lunch. He gave them a hug and started helping with the lunch as Min will also arrive before lunch time. He was thinking of using his pendent as catalyst after upgrading it to a soul grade device which increases training speed by 80%.

He was thinking of connecting its effect to some selected pendant's so he wouldn't need to find some high quality training equipment for everybody. Just the one he have will be enough for everybody. The recent harvest of more then 200 soul essence of Minions were very favorable.

With that Ningxue, Hu yu and Min will also be able to take advantage of soul grade equipment simultaneously and Xinxia will also be joining magic high school very soon.

Said Zheng with a bit of smile. That piqued his curiosity and he opened the box, what he saw shocked him!
