dark past.

We were deliberately transported to the Alduin residence.

"What happened?" I looked around frantically.

My eyes fell on Luminaire breathing rapidly with her hand on her chest clenching tightly.

"Hey! Get a hold of yourself." I ran to her side.

" It has begun." She croaked in a tiny voice close to a whisper.

I looked up. What I saw out of the window wasn't a pleasant sight.

"There's two of them heading this way?" I asked horrified.

"With more followers behind them." She added.

We saw Adrielle scurrying past us downstairs in a frenzy.

"Bella! Take Luminaire and Ignatius with you." She cried out to the maid giving her the crying baby and the weeping boy.

"But your Majesty! What about you and the lord?" She asked. She was a dark elf similar to Adrielle with black hair and eyes and elfven ears.

"I will follow you once Ignacio is back. Hurry!" She commanded her to go through the tunnel.

"Go back to the kingdom. I will send the escort knights for your safety. So protect my children until I'm back."

The maid hesitant to leave Adrielle behind took one last glance as Adrielle sent three knights with essentials after her.

"Oh great Lord! Why has it come to this?" Adrielle hissed in utter dismay.

"Mother don't go there!" I heard Luminaire scream in agony.

"Calm down it's the past!" I cried out trying to restrain her from running after Adrielle.

"Let go of me!" She fought back and subconsciously hit me in my stomach with her elbow.

I winced as my stomach throbbed in pain.

It was too late.

Adrielle had run out and began casting a barrier around the fortress.

The dragons fought in midair. Their roar was deafening. They clawed at each other and spewed fire everywhere.

"They're on rampage!" I heard Adrielle cry out to get soldiers.

"Get together t lo defend the fortress!" She commanded. The guards obeyed nervously as fear engulfed them by the very sight of humongous monsters on rampage.

A blow caused one of them to crash down on earth.

The entire fortress was now sinking in the sea of flames. The left quarters of the fortress were completely crushed down into rubble.

Adrielle turned around in horror.

She trembled and ran towards the place that was completely destroyed.

A dragon came roaring down taking the other one once again when he missed the chance to hammer the other one's head into the walls.

The stones darted towards her in the speed of light.

"Ahh!" She cried out barely saving herself in time.

When she looked up she saw a red scaly wing cover her up from the flying debris.

"Ignacio!" She realized.

He took a glance at her and picked her gently and put her on a safer side.

He was wide open when Niddhogg clawed at his face.

"Ignacio!" Adrielle cried in fear.

"My queen! Please evacuate immediately. The place is no longer safe." A soldier cried out before he was completely crushed under their feet.

She watched them in disbelief and horror.

"This is hell!" She trembled.

Her eyes were filled with fear when she saw the other group of dragons following.

Ignacio bit at Niddhogg's neck that made him scream and squirm at the same time until he no longer moved. She could see her husband brutally bite of the huge chunk of tough, scaly flesh from the elder dragon's neck.

The dragon lay on the ground lifeless.

"Go! Elle! Go back to our children." He advised her through telepathy.

"No! I've sent them safe and sound. I won't move until you come with me." She cried out.

"Please! Listen to me just this once will you?" His voice was shaky.

He had sustained heavy damage from the fight.

Adrielle ran to him to heal him but he staggered and spread his wings taking flight to deal with the rest.

She hopelessly watched him fight against them. Seven against one. A huge unjust gap.

And suddenly a dragon came crashing near the back building.

When she realized the direction she ran leaving him to ward off against them with fruitless attempts.

The entire place was crushed down. When the dragon managed to move away, all that was left was debris, dead people and smell of burning flesh.

She heard a cry beneath the rubble. Trying her best to move the pice of stone with all her strength she collapsed on the floor. Her eyes wide with shock. As if someone had hit her so hard that her soul shattered into a million pieces.

"B-bella?"she choked.

I couldn't bare tolook at the six corpses that were crushed beneath the rubble.

"Ahhhhhh!"

I heard her scream.

"Lu! Ig! My babies! Wake up! Ig! Mama is here. Ig! Lu! Please wake up!Ahhhhh!"

Her cries filled the air.

I only stood silently watching in horror.

And the nthere was a loud crash on the opposite of the fortress.

Adrielle looked back. It was the end. The dragon lay lifeless near her.

The face that was clawed by Niddhogg. The face she cherished that she saw when she met him the first time ever.

"Dear!" She called out to him desperately. There was no response. All that was left was destruction and loss, bodies burnt to ashes.

And that was the end to the Alduin residence.

While I witnessed Adrielle unleashing immense dark energy, Luminaire trembled iny arms unable to watch what came before our eyes.

More than half of the dragons were eliminated by her power in one night leaving only bare minimum of their species in existence.
