Liza woke up early in the morning. She felt energize and rejuvenated from the sleep she had. She arranged her things for her school today and then took a bath.

"Liza! Breakfast is ready!" her mom shouted and she was about to finish taking a bath.

"Yes, Mom! Coming!" Liza answered as she stepped out of the bathroom and dressed up hurriedly.

"Any plans for today?" his father started hoping to bring out a conversation.

"We will have a grad practice then I'll go window shopping. Hopefully, Mike accompanies me."

"Don't get too late outside, Honey", Amelia reminded.

"Yes, Mom."

Liza stood up and went back to her room after eating her breakfast to prepare for school. She chose a white sleeveless dress that ends at her knee and a light blue cardigan. She decided to pair it with a blue wedge. After dressing, she put a light blush on and waited the time to pass by. It was 7:00 am in the morning and the practice would start at 8:30.

She had to leave her house at 7:30 since she decided to walk to the school. It would take her 30-45 minutes of walking.

Meanwhile, Mike was still in bed, sweating and panting.

Knock! Knock!

"Mike! Get up! You might get late! It's already 6."

Mike answered his father with a loud growl so he knock harder but nothing happened. It was Zander's problem to wake Mike because he sleeps as if there's no tomorrow.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

"I surrender! Don't kill me" Mike shouted. He was dreaming that he was about to be killed by the goons and when his father knocked louder, he thought that it was the guns shooting him. He suddenly stood up and fell from his bed that woke him up. As he opened his eyes, he tried to focus to his surroundings and realized that he was in his room having nightmares again.

"Mike! Get ready! You're going to be late for the last time", his dad shouted at the other side of the door with another loud thud of knocks.

He walked to the door and opened it to greet his father who was starting to lose his patience.

"Morning, dad. Why the hell you're shouting?" Mike greeted sleepily.

"Are you going to school or not? It's already 6:30. I had been knocking for almost an hour."

"You should have entered my room to wake me instead of shouting and trying to destroy my door."

"Your door is locked. Start fixing yourself. The breakfast is ready."

Mike started to fix his bed and then headed to his bathroom. He took a bath for ten minutes and chose his black tight shirt and dark blue pants. He paired it with black sneakers. He headed to the dining hall after he dressed and gathered his things.

"Dad! What do we have for this morning?"

Beep. Beep.

Mike checked his phone. It was Liza.

Free later? Malling at 5.

He smiled after reading the text. He didn't notice that his father was looking at him.

"Who was it?"

"It's no one. I'll be home late. Bye, Dad." Mike grabbed two sandwiches and wrap it to napkins.

"Aren't you going to eat something?"

"I'll just have these sandwiches." Mike grab a carton of fresh milk and poured it in his glass. He drank it in one gulp and left.

On his way to the garage, he saw the deer that he suck the blood last night. He smiled to himself knowing that the poor animal was still alive and he was not a monster that needs killing for survival. He headed to his car and put it into life.

"Late as usual!" he told to himself as he looked at his watch. He started eating his sandwiches while driving. He never been punctual in his classes nor practices, so to catch up, he drove fast.

When he arrived at the school, he was greeted with a warm smile from Liza. They went to their locker room together.

"What happened?" Liza asked.

"What?!" Mike answered curiously.

"You're early. You are 20 minutes ahead of time. Are you sick or did your father scared you to death?"

Mike looked at his watch that the time was the same when he left his mansion at 8:40 and then to clock at the wall of the locker room that showed 8:07. He noticed that the second hand was not moving. He smiled that for the first time he was early.

"No, he's not aside from almost breaking my door. I taught that I'm already late so I drove fast. It was my wristwatch not working. Maybe it was the time last night that it stopped to serve me. It needs a new battery."

"It's an achievement for you. Mark this day. Hahaha!"

They both laugh. After placing their things, they headed to their practice. Their schoolmates were starting to assemble for the start of their march, so they join them.

The day of their practice was tiresome and boring. Walk there, fall in line here, clap now, stand up later. The students felt exhausted of their very routinary work. They even practiced their grad song which was "Go The Distance" thrice.

Their practice ended at 4.

"We will have no practice tomorrow but on Wednesday we will practice until 7 pm, our final practice. Dismiss." announced by their administrator. Everyone started leaving the basketball court. It was unusually large for a basketball court in a school because they use that for balls, concerts, seminars, and even graduation ceremonies.

Liza went to the cafeteria to have some snacks while Mike headed to the locker room to gather his things and then he went to comfort room to freshen up. After being full, Liza headed to the locker room to get her things. A note was placed at the top of her pouch.

Mike Al., The One and Only ;)

Liza went to the parking lot and looked for Mike after getting her things. He was standing next to his Audi R8 waiting for her patiently.

"Hello! I thought you won't accompany me. You didn't mention it earlier."

"Sorry. My mind was too occupied. I have something to tell you," Mike said as he opened the car for Liza.

"Do you have a problem?" Liza answered before going inside.

After both got in, Mike was battling on how he would start to tell Liza who he was because they had a pinky promise that there were no secrets during their childhood days. He put the car to life and start driving.

"I was", both said in unison then stopped. There was an eerie silence inside the car.

"You go first, your the lady," Mike said and then winked at Liza.

"Uhmm, Michael?"

"Hmm."

"Do you believe in supernatural beings?"

"Before I was not believing but now I might say that I do. Why?"

"If you meet someone powerful like uhmm vampire or witch, how are you going to deal with them? But you don't know that at first and then you became friends but later on you find out that he was a supernatural," Liza asked nervously and she tried not to hide any signs of nervousness but Mike noticed the sudden change of her heartbeat.

Mike shifted in his position uneasily.

"I don't know. It depends."

"What do you mean?"

"If he did not do something wrong and harmful to me and my family and friends, well it's ok for me to keep our friendship," Mike smiled after saying those words. Liza was somehow relieved.

"Would you believe if I would say that I am ahmm," Liza continued but she can't say the word. Mike suddenly remember Liza's dream being a witch and he can't help but smile.

"Why are you smiling?" Liza asked frowning the moment she noticed Mike was smiling mindlessly.

"Nothing. In what should I believe? Hmm."

"Uhmm."

"I am waiting, Maria Analiza."

"A witch!"

Mike smiled again. Liza was waiting for a reaction and she looked at him. She wanted to wipe the smile that Mike was wearing when the time that he needs to be serious.

"We're here. Where do you want to go?"

"Aren't you going to give any reaction?"

"What reaction do you want?" Mike raised his eyebrow.

"Never mind. I just over think it. Maybe because of my dream." Liza asked frustrated.

"I'm thinking something. Besides, I'm happy that I have a witch friend even if she is not yet sure. I mean best friend."

"That's all! Nothing violent?"

"Yep. Where are we going?"

"I'll just want to have a window shopping to relax."

Mike went out of the car hurriedly to open the door for Liza but the moment he reached the other side of the car she was already standing outside fixing her clothes.

"Let's go, Mike."

"You never let me open the door for you."

"And so," Liza raised her eyebrow and she was fascinated on how fast he reached the other side of the door.

They walk inside the mall. Liza randomly entered dress shops and boutique while Mike followed her.

"What do you think, Mike? Is this pretty?" Liza was holding a red dress.

"Fit it on."

Liza was fitting her dress while Mike was looking for a shirt in men's section. A saleslady approached him and told that Liza was looking for him.

"What do you think, Al?"

"You look pretty good," Mike was astound in Liza's attire.

"I know you when you're lying."

"No, I'm not. I just can't find the right words to describe. It naturally fits you and you look stunning and elegant."

The dress ended above her knee that hug her every curves until her waist. From her waist to her knee the dress hang loosely. She bought the dress and waited for Mike as he try different sizes of shirt.

"What do you think, Sweet?" Mike popped out from the cubicle wearing a tight red shirt.

"Your abs is showing the crease find another. I don't like that. Its for my eyes only," she answered smirking but Mike didn't realize what she said.

Mike grunt as he entered the cubicle to change to a larger size.

"How about this one?"

"Much better."

Mike paid the shirt and they went out to find more clothes instead of window shopping.
