Chapter 2: Business

After a couple of minutes of walking, I grew tired of some boring steps so I stopped and turned my eyes to the rooftops. I had an idea. Once I stopped talking, I used my powers to take a pic of the neighborhood before quickly sprinting up to the roofs of the houses.

Amari flinched and tried to reach for me, "HEY! WHAT THE HECK?! WHY ARE YOU UP THERE?!" She exclaimed.

I chuckled and sat on the edge of the roof, "Jeez have a little bit of fun will ya!" I waved to her and began sprinting and jump to another building. Parkour. Just a nice fun and fast way to get around this place.

While I ran and hopped off, I used my radar to see ahead of my path but I noticed...someone following behind me. I was Amari.

I looked back grinning, "Well well! Look who came to join me!" I snickered as I leaped off of buildings and onto another.

Amari glare at me as she ran behind me, "Oh shut up!" She replied and followed along.

It's rare for her to get rid of her stubborn face and actually tag along with what people do. She seemed to be afraid to be left behind. I could see it in her eyes. I snickered and picked up the speed leaping through the houses and roofs of the tight neighborhood. The freedom of running around like this and the wind I feel in my hair as I travel...one of the reasons I chose to leave after what happened to me...Brings back memories.

I then noticed the building we needed to be at and smiled leaping off a rooftop and doing a nice spin as I landed on another roof and gently working my way down to the street across the company through using the pipes and windows to parkour my way down safely.

Amari turned the corner to meet me while panting, "Jeez! Ever heard of slowing down?!" She complained and rested catching her breath.

I snickered and patted her back, "I have my own pace. Your fault if you can't keep up." I said with a cheeky Lil victory grin.

Amari groaned as she slumped over with her hands on her knees taking a breather. As she did so, I took my time and admired the place. The city looked normal despite being one of the underground hell holes of Sumire. It's pretty...nice here. Probably the reason why I settled here with my friends. I'll tell you all about that later though. Back to admiring this beautiful hell hole for me! After waiting for Amari to finish up catching her breath, we then walked into the huge company building where her boss would like to meet me. I wonder what other begging he'll do just to get me back on his side...well after what he did, I doubt I'll listen to a single word he'll say. Heh. Maybe I'll just trick him into thinking I'll accept his sorry ass back into business with tech just to see what other acts he has in his sleeves. Playing with the strongest man behind the illegal selling corp. Whatever...I don't like the dude.

As we passed through hallways and made our way to the very top office room the big man has for himself, I made sure to look as uninterested as POSSIBLE. It's true anyway. I'd rather spend my time watching a snail move around. I sighed entering the room as I had my head resting on my hands behind it, "You called?" I said to the boss man.

"Kitsunae! Finally, you've decided to join me. Can we just talk about the business? I'm sinking here!" He whined.

"Psh! What's in it for me? If I don't join your business again and supply you with tech, what? You'll blackmail me?" I barked back. I then rolled my eyes, "After that little show you pulled off giving out more information about me than as we talked about, I figured you'd be more than capable of running it by yourself. Tch. Pushing your own so far up your own boot but you even forget what we talked about and think your money can ensure my privacy on working with your tech company." I said as I turned my back on him. This is just a waste of time even for the little plan I had on making him beg.

Boss man then sat down and drank his whiskey, "Look...ever since I said that statement, people have been begging me to publish more and more advanced tech that I am far from understanding...I can help you get more money if you help me again! I'll be sure to not speak like that again plus I won't put you out in public! I-I can have a fake programmer build so the clients won't think it's you working with me!" He pitched to me.

I honestly don't care at this point. Engaging in a bigger field like this was one of the miscalculations I've ever made in my life. Bad idea to get into business with a man that would clearly let the money infect his head.

"Find someone else. Don't come crawling back to me again." I said and walked out the door also still with my head resting on my hands. I keep a low profile and this fat money head just wrecked some of the work I put to make sure of that.

After that meeting, about a week or two...the company went out of business. The boss man knows he can't go after me even if that happened. So I'm living a nice life coding and making tech for a Lil underground market thing I have going on and it's paying some good cash money.
