Love under the umbrella
It seems being official really makes everything seem better. First, Giorgio finally gets to hold Martin’s hand without hesitation. Secondly, Martin got a lot more affectionate, and he gets the boyfriend treatment all the time even when hanging out with their friends, making them witness them doing corny couple actions like feeding each other, kissing passionately, or just plain hugging and sweet talking. Mariella looks horrified for some reason and Leonardo keeps trying to be better than Martin by being more romantic, but his girlfriend is so embarrassed she just keeps shoving him away instead.
Thirdly, the walk back home after classes end for the day are like mini dates, with how Martin keeps giving him surprises like the food he cooked in class, dessert he baked, and even stealing kisses when Giorgio is distracted.
And today it’s Thursday, just one day away from their Friday date night, making Giorgio smile and feeling giddy the whole day, and even Martin is grinning ear to ear during their lunch together. When the last class of the day finally ended, Giorgio quickly packs his things and carries his backpack, and exits the classroom quickly, and when he sees the familiar figure of his boyfriend waiting at the lobby for him, leaning against the wall and checking his phone, he wants to call him out but immediately frowns when he suddenly hears something from a group of girls nearby that are wearing the nursing uniform.
“He is so handsome, I wonder if he is waiting for a friend?”
“Oh, maybe I should try flirting with him, and maybe he will take me?”
“No way! I bet he prefers girls with bigger boobs like me.”
Giorgio rolls his eyes and almost calls them bitches out loud and when they are actually walking towards his boyfriend, the blonde immediately jogs faster and calls him a little louder than usual, “Guido!”
“Oh hey Gio!”
And when Giorgio finally stands right in front of him, he grabs his collar to pull him towards himself, and he kisses him right on the mouth, making the bitches gasp and shout in disappointment, and Martin who is happy to kiss his blonde hugs him and deepens the kiss when he uses his tongue, and Giorgio gladly opens his mouth to start a make out session.
They didn’t know how long they have been sucking each other until they hear someone clearing their throat, and when the lovers let go of their lips with a pop to see who the intruder is, Martin’s eyes widen to see Alfonso with a troubled expression and Tao who looks a little scared watching them, “Martin, Giorgio, I don’t think it’s appropriate to make out right here in the public.”
“Erm, right, sorry Alfonso, got carried away,” Martin chuckles and Giorgio smirks when he sees the frightened Tao, “hey Tao. You look like you have seen a ghost.”
“Erm, I- well, congrats? You didn’t tell me that you both got together!”
“We just became official last Friday, right love?” Martin grins at Giorgio’s proud declaration and he turns to see Tao and says quickly, “I promise I won’t mistreat your cousin in any way.”
“Well, I wish you both happiness? I gotta go,” Tao waves a bit and he jogs off, and Alfonso shakes his head, “you both should hurry back. I believe the weather forecast said there might be rain later.”
“Oh right! Come on Gio, we should go before we catch a cold from being stuck in a rain,” and the couple jog off hand in hand. After walking together for a distance, Martin suddenly asks, “Gio, do you mind if we take a little detour tomorrow after classes? I want to get something before our date.”
“Hmmm? Sure. Is it far?”
“No, it’s just the convenience mart nearby.”
The blonde raises an eyebrow but doesn't say anything, and just nods. Could it be? But maybe he is just trying to buy some ingredients for food…
When Martin felt a huge wet drop on his head, he looks up to the sky and sees the dark clouds are already here, and he frowns, “oh man! Let’s get shelter before we are soaked-”
“I got an umbrella though,” Giorgio shifts his backpack to his front and unzips, and when he takes out a ladybug themed folded umbrella out, Martin chuckles and asks, “ladybug?? Is this like your sister’s?”
“Nope. Jolyne’s is a butterfly theme while Dr Seiji has a dolphin theme.”
“Wait, what?”
After opening it, Martin is laughing about how small it is like a kid’s umbrella and Giorgio grabs Martin’s arm and pulls it to make him wrap around his back, and puts his palm on his own waist, “the size is just nice if we are close enough.”
“Just say the word and I will hug you babe, I don’t need you to use an umbrella as an excuse.”
They laugh together when they see the other students running in a hurry while they get to keep dry and have an excuse to be close.
