Chapter 31

Claire's P.O.V.

Ryan rang the bell twice before stepping back and pushed his hand deep into his jean pockets as he crunched some leaves under his foot mercilessly. It was unexpectedly sunny today, bright and crisp as the sunrise but still, the cold wind didn't do any justice to the presented weather. Dad opened the door a few moments later and a huge grin spread across his features.

"Thankfully." Dad said, hugging me from the side. "How are you feeling now?" He asked as he stepped back, looking at me from head to toe.

"Great. Very much better." I said.

"That's a relief to hear. Now you both come inside, it's chilly out here. Let me take this bag from you Ryan." Dad said, taking the bag from Ryan, turning around and walking inside the house. We followed behind him with slow steps.

"It's your first time in my house." I commented, watching him gazing slowly at everything.
