Laura has been staring at their classroom door ever since she arrived there without her even realizing. Not until one of her block mates said so,
“Laura! Were you waiting for someone?”
Laura has a confused expression pasted all over her face.
“No!"
"No, I’m not.”
She cleared her throat and took one last glance to the door before paying attention to what the person beside her is saying.
It wasn’t that long until their professor arrived, surprising most of them and sending the class to chaos to go back to their respective seats.
“Okay class, before we start our lecture I have news from the dean. It’s about our school, and there’s a report that two students are found dead along the bookshelves in the library. The police are still not done solving it and advised that all staffs and students of the university to become wary and vigilant.”
The class were stunned after hearing the news, there were students who are scared for their safety while others were curious of who the victims might be. Judging from all of their reactions and their behaviors, It’s going to be hard for them to digest the lecture after hearing the news. So their professor decided to give them reading assignments for their next meeting tomorrow and calls it a day.
Everyone in the class fixed their belongings and heads out of it, including Laura who still has Timothy’s study notebook. She went out of the room and saw students clumping up in front of the TV screen. Curious of what’s been broadcasted she went to have a closer look.
“BREAKING NEWS! Two students where found dead inside the great library of the University of Llaverhans. The autopsy report of the male and female bodies has loss of blood as their cause of death. Experts were stunned by the weird death of the two students.
Laura felt bad for the victims for having to experience death. She turned around after she felt someone touching her shoulders.
“Hi! Why are you guys outside?
Timothy waved his hands and giving an innocent smile to her.
“Hello, something terrible happened.”
Timothy’s expression changed and a brief flash of the girl he saw lying dead on the library earlier ran on his mind.
“Let’s go talk about it on the cafeteria.”
He held her hands surprising her and dragged her to the school cafeteria who’s only a few steps from the building they’re in. Meanwhile, Laura felt butterflies on her stomach after Timothy held her hands. She’s questioning herself on why did she felt that way.
They arrived on the cafeteria and scanned for vacant tables that is secluded. Timothy found an unoccupied table near the corner who’s perfect for them as the table only has room for two.
“There!”
Timothy let’s go of Laura’s hand and points to where the table is located.
“So, what now?”
Laura wasted no time and began opening up right as they seated. Timothy hesitated, giving an “are you sure” look to her who she nodded as response.
“I think I know what were you referring about something terrible has happened.”
“I was there when it happened.”
Laura’s eyes widened, hearing what Timothy said.
