Katrina opened her eyes and began casting the spell. In the process, she was sucked into a what seems like her past. She was sent to a place near a dense forest, she immediately recognized where this place is. It is her hometown, the farthest village of the Witch Country.
Her feet brought her to the place where she usually practices her spell. To her surprise, she found her young self there practicing magic. She went closer to investigate and found out that the spell that her younger self was practicing is the spell that her present self is casting right now.
She was shocked as she had no memories of the her in the past where she practiced this spell.
“Illustrate”
Her attention shifted towards her younger self who started casting the spell again. The spell worked, and the leaves and branches are forming into what young Katrina wanted it to.
“Ahh!”
Her eyes widened after hearing her younger self screamed. Blood came out from her nose before she fell unconscious.
Katrina ran to her younger self but was immediately sucked into the present.
“No!”
She screamed, surprising everyone around her.
“Why what happened?”
Savannah asked her. She looked around and realized that she’s back in her present time and was initially doing the spell. She backed off and ran towards her room leaving the other girls clueless of what just happened.
Katrina closed the door behind her and went under her sheets, crying, worried about her young self.
“Does the cost of failing to complete the spell is the complete loss of all of my memory about it?”
She thought. She closed her eyes, still crying and soon after drifted into her sleep.
Meanwhile, the other girls heard Katrina’s sobs had ended. They immediately followed her after she stormed out to her room to find out what’s wrong but they haven’t been able to because she locked her door.
“Let her be, she has reasons.”
Sharron said to the girls.
“What about me? It’s my room too.”
Joanne whined. She then looked at the door before she left before she went to the living room to sleep.
Later that night...
Katrina’s eyes fluttered open, she checked the time and saw that it’s 3 AM. She glanced over Joanne’s bed and saw that she wasn’t there.
“Where’s Joanne?”
She asked herself, she then went out of her room. She went to the kitchen to have a glass of a water and saw Joanne sleeping on the couch uncomfortably.
Her eyebrows raised, wondering why she’s sleeping there. She went back to their room and took Joanne’s sheets to cover her. She then went out of the house to find somewhere quiet and safe.
It’s a city full of skyscrapers and buildings, it’ll be hard for her to find a place where her attribute element is at the greatest because she’s an earth attribute witch. She followed her instincts and just walked towards where it would take her.
After walking for almost an hour, she finally find a place where silence and nature attribute is at best. It’s a country side, with a dense forest where she can work from. She put down her bag. and began to relax herself.
“Katrina, I know you can do it.”
She told herself and began casting the spell.
