As the car sped through the highway towards Gaekwad Mansion, Shivani and Mrityunjay sat wordless, a small space separating them from each other. This space was symbolic to the distance they had yet to overcome in their love. Although both now knew they craved for each other, there somehow was that little gap between them, that they were just unable to overcome. She looked at him, as he sat with a forbidding expression on his face.
When she was about to look away, Mrityunjay looked into her face and saw the misery etched there.
He caught her hand and tugged at it, signalling for her to move closer. Shivani obliged willingly, her head resting on his shoulder, her hand going around his strong arm. Mrityunjay kissed her on her head and aligned his leg with her's. They sat joined perfectly, as their sides fit as accurately as two pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. She closed her eyes, as her thoughts wandered to the memories made a few minutes ago; memories she would take to her grave.
