Chapter 33 a The Finale

Derson stood before the conservatory entrance sweating bullets and feeling antsy in all of his bones. Firmin could be anywhere, and whenever Derson was doing something wrong, it felt like Firmin was everywhere. He had to find Iggy before Firmin noticed that they were separated, or else who knows what could happen!

The morning sun rays were rising through the protected glass and through the treetops as the cool shadows layered upon the concrete floor in fluttering patches over his shoes. Before him stood a new machine called a blood analysis machine that was new and installed here as well as at the auditorium, and soon there would be one at the conversational room. Derson was able to avoid these machines up until now.
