When Derson and Iggy arrived at the auditorium, the doors were shut and a crowd was lingering around outside. Across the door there was a bright yellow sign that read, “BLACK AND LEVEL 1 ONLY. NO OTHERS PERMITTED.” Beneath it was another blood analysis machine, newly installed.
A line of people were in a straight line, and one by one they gave a sample, and went in. As the doors opened and closed, everyone in line could glimpse three massive screens hanging from the ceiling, pointing directly down at the audience, and showcasing layers and layers of documents. Hundreds of eyes were focused down at the stage waiting for the speaker to show. On this night, the auditorium was just shy of being as full as it was when Iggy had been the star.
