Chapter 25

Jessica gave Anna a side pinch signalling Anna not to hand Angelina over to the little girl‚ but Anna ignored it.

The closer Angelina neared the little girl‚ the more she cried which confused Anna as to why Angelina acted in that manner.

“Her name is Angelina” Anna said‚ placing Angelina in the little girl’s arms.

“Be careful” she said gently moving Angelina’s head to the crook of the little girls arm so as to support the neck.

“She has James eyes” the little girl said‚ her eyes still fixed on the crying child in her arms.

Anna felt fazed.

The little girl was right‚ but the last thing she wanted to hear or think of was James. In the past few weeks‚ she had put him behind her- both memories and material things. Each one of them becoming history‚ but whenever she stared into Angelina’s eyes‚ she always felt a bit fazed‚ like he was just staring right back at her.
