Chapter 9

"We wanted to tell you guys after we leave the party tonight but well… here we are now," Whitney stated after pulling her head away from his chest and he began to gently push Lillian and Olivia away from the both of them.

"If you'll excuse us, my fiancee and I have some matters to discuss. We'll leave you guys to talk about how you're not invited to our wedding since you don't know where we're travelling to," Rodney said and the both of them gasped as they realized he was right while he began to pull Whitney with him out of the room.

"Come on whit whit, don't be like that. At least let me attend through a video call since you won't tell us the country. I'm speaking just for myself and not for Lillian," she called out after them as they walked into the hallway and shut the door behind themselves, presumably to go to his room, and Olivia's shoulders sagged when she didn't get a response.

"Wow…" Lillian muttered as Olivia walked over to the bed so she could take off her shoes. "So that happened… ThThey're getting married."

"I know right," Olivia responded as she undid the straps of the heels and glanced up at Lillian. "I always thought you and Gerald would be the ones to get engaged first in the team."

'So did I,' Lillian thought as she remembered the ring before the both of them changed back to the clothes they'd been wearing before. They returned the dresses to their dress bags, the shoes to their shoe box and their jewelry to their jewelry box before picking up the boxes and dress bag that had Whitney's name written on it along with the clothes she had been wearing earlier and making their way out of the room.

"They're probably going at it right now," Olivia said as they walked towards Rodney's room to give her what they were holding and Lillian nudged her with her elbow.

"Seriously, you need to go to therapy after you get to your destination tomorrow. You need it and you'll be a trillionaire so you can totally afford it," she said and Olivia twitched her nose at her.

They got to Rodney's door and Lillian's eyes widened slightly while Olivia's eyes glinted when they heard grunting, loud moaning and the sound of something which was most likely a headboard slamming against the wall.

"Oh dear. Did he actually rip off her dress because Gerald would so not like that," Olivia muttered before she banged on it, making Lillian's mouth dropped open

"Olivia what the hell?" she said as she pushed her away from the door just as Rodney called out, "Who the fuck is it?!"

"Don't mind us and keep doing what you're doing. We just want Whit whit to know that we're dropping her stuff in front of the door," Olivia responded and Rodney yelled something that was most likely rated PG.

They began to drop the items in front of the door and when they were done, Olivia said, "We've dropped them by the door."

"Fuck off," Rodney yelled and Lillian pulled a laughing Olivia away from the door.

"You're insane," Lillian said as she kept dragging her down the hallway and Olivia finally stopped laughing.

"No, I'm just lonely. I need a boyfriend," she replied and the corner of Lillian's mouth quirked up.

"Maybe you should get back with Perry and Zander."

Olivia used to date Perry and Zander but they broke up a month ago and now, Lillian guessed it was because the team was splitting up.

"Maybe I should," Lillian announced and sarcasm wasn't evident in her voice. She sounded serious.

"Oh," Lillian muttered in surprise because that wasn't the answer she had been expecting.

They finally got back to the room without corners and they opened the door to see only Zander and Perry in it, watching an action movie on the huge flat screen TV. The two men turned their heads to face them when they walked in and they stared at them for a couple of seconds before they returned their attention to the screen.

Lillian glanced around the room when she realized that Gerald wasn't there and noticed that Gerald's back pack wasn't in the room either.

"Where's Gerald?" Lillian asked as Olivia removed her hand from hers and made her way over to Perry and Zander.

"He left the building. He said he has something important to do," Perry replied while Olivia leaned down and whispered something in his ear. "Oh!" he muttered in surprise and instantly turned his head to face her as she whispered into Zander's ear too.

Zander had the same reaction and Lillian asked, "Did he say where he was going to?" Zander shook his head sideways without looking at her and he and Perry got up from the couch.

Lillian could guess what Olivia had whispered in their ears and her shoulders sagged as the three of them headed towards the door because she would be left alone in this room.

She pulled her phone out of her pocket and took a seat at the dining table, grabbing a pack of cookies and soda from the pile in the middle of the table. She opened the pack of cookies and the soda and ate a couple of the cookies before she unlocked her phone and dialled Gerald's number. She had only been alone for a couple of minutes and she was already bored.

The call rang for a few times before it went straight to voice mail and she dialled the number again. She groaned and leaned back in her seat, letting her head loll back, before she sat upright again when her phone buzzed in her hand.

GERALD, 9:18 AM: I'll be back soon Lily. Do you want me to get anything for you?

She sighed softly and quickly replied with an 'Okay, I want an apple pie.' before dropping the phone on the table.
