Chapter 113: Tokyo Hell (IX) - Creation of the Pitiful Moon

[Chang'e POV]

"What is it this time?" Chang'e asked the mysterious man who visited her again.

The first time she talked to the man was her 40,000th year being encaged on the moon, now this was his fourth visit and it was her 160,000th year now on the moon.

Chang'e noticed that his visit has a pattern, which is why she knew in advance in what year and day the mysterious man would visit her, it was every skip counting by 4 or in her time as a God skip counting by 40,000.

"Yo Chang'e, I've come to finish up my story."

Apparently his story has many volumes and this; the fourth one is the final volume of his story. The first volume was about the Heroes of other Mythologies and the most powerful weapon of all time; hope. The second volume is about the journey of the Chinese Monk the Longetivity Monk Tang Sanzang, and at that time Chang'e decided not to listen to his story because 80% of it is about him bragging how cool Tan Sanzang is. The third one made her shocked, it was about the end of the Great God War.

The Elixir of Immortality was the elixir she drank to kill nine of the ten sun that was harming Ancient China, she drank it in secret to the other Chinese Gods because she knew that the other Gods wouldn't let her drink it because the elixir was going to be used in the Great God War.

The Elixir of Immortality can be used in the war to power-up any God who'll drink it or it can be use to make a human into a Deity. Which is why the elixir was an important weapon for the Chinese Gods, and now that Chang'e used it to protect the human of China the Gods became enraged of what she has done.

For them that elixir was their strongest trump card in surviving the Great God War and now that it's gone the Chinese Gods thought that it is guranteed that they'll die in the Great God War.

Reasons on why she drank it is because the other Chinese Gods doesn't want to work and were being played by the Chinese Goddess of the Sun Xihe, wich is why Chang'e took action on protecting mankind from the ten suns.

When the man told her about the end of the Great God War and that the Mythology of China still exist she was shocked because she thought that Chinese Mythology would die from the war due to her drinking the Elixir of immortality.

Which is why hearing that the Mythology of China still exist despite losing one of their trump card made her speechless, but what didn't surprised her is when the mysterious man said that 98% of the Gods of China are now deceased and one of the God that was killed in the war was the Chinese Sun Goddess Xihe.

A small smile appeared on Chang'e's face at that time when she heard baout Xihe's death; the Goddess that was the cause of her eternal suffering.

"Then continue your story..." Chang'e replied to the mysterious man.

"*Cough* Okay our topic this time is the one you're most excited for, so sit still and listen to the story on who your hero is."

During the mysterious man first visit at the moon he left her question when she asked about who her hero is. "Seriously I had so much trouble in meeting him, he was in the pain in the ass but that pain can be used to protect you Chang'e and also I could see how much he loves you."

Chang'e was confused at what the man said, no she ws stupified at what the man said, of course anyone on her position of wanting a hero would be one.

She has many questions on her head, because how would he even know who her hero is? After all findinng a hero should be at random, you can't just say to someone to become a hero to someone, even if that person is strong enough to save her that's just how it works.

With the current relationship of the Gods where everything is a cold war and a battle for more corpses there was no way her hero is a God and if it's a human that would be impossible too because humanity itself is always getting played by the Gods a lot of time and has been a subject to their cruel sciences humanity would fear them. Especially it is more impossible when the mysterious man told her the third volume of his story.

On one part of the story HE came, the God of all Gods, the Creator of the Universe, the Creator of the Primordial Gods. He was the one who made the war into a halt and made a rule that humanity isn't allowed in any of the Gods' work, which is why at that day humanity has neither interacted nor seen the Gods, and their only reminder that these beings known as Gods existed is through their religion and stories.

"Hmm? Why are you quiet Chang'e? I know that it must be hard to believe but I really met him!"

"How..? No matter how much I think, it's impossible."

"Haha! Don't worry about whether it's impossible or not, as long as there's hope it can happen!"

'There he goes again with his obsession with hope...'

"Let's see... I'll tell you about what he did... He was just a normal man who hates the concept of death, actually he could never even kill someone even if they're his enemies, that's just who he is..." The man took a sit on the ground and smiled in melancholy. "But will that kindness of his stay from everything that has happened to him? Betrayal, sorrow, inferiority, and insanity filled him to the point that anyone who knew him before would call him a fake. Unlike before where he couldn't kill he was now able too... Actually his first time attempting to kill someone was very gruesome he actually tortured someone and made the one he tortured fall into a coma! Seriously, it was insane... That guy was all messed up, but that wasn't the end though."

Chang'e became curious from the sudden change of his tone and went closer to the wall that he was near.

"Of course he regretted torturing that guy because it was just him getting controlled by his wrath... Then he tried to atone his sins but ultimately failed, his friends were always severely injured and he faced a lot of betrayal which is why his rage consumed him to a point of no return, after all they fought a beast that almost destroyed the world itself and part of the world that was destroyed was where his country was in."

Chang'e's eyes were filled with sorrow after hearing what the man said, she felt pity to her hero.

"His people blamed him for failing and cast him away, all he could think about is how to do his mission but he never expected he would lose a lot of allies... He had a big fight with them which is why he was all alone well others joined him though... There, he became stronger and changed a lot to the point, by change I would mean he could even kill innocent people, due to this he became more hostile toward his old friends and even fought them, he was so strong unlike his weak self that he beat them even if some of them were Gods... But due to his action of being more distant toward them many of them were killed by their enemies; the Gods. Due to his anger he killed one of the Gods I'm friends with which pissed me off honestly and he attacked the Jade Emperor."

She became shock from what the man said, she knows how powerful the Jade Emperor is so she thought that this might be the end of her hero.

'Seriously, you could've seen him and his allies fight the Jade Emperor, your hero was so powerful that he stab both of the Jade Emperor's eyes and blinded him, your hero even bloked the hit of the Heavenly Dragon Tianlong! Seriously your hero's a beast! Not only that after finding out what happened to you when he beat the crap out of the Jade Emperor's ass he was mad and tried to kill the Jade Emperor, but lucky him he got away. After seeing that power of his I could see that he is no ordinary hero, but a Hero of the entire world... Which is why I realized that he is someone worthy for you... He'll save you, I know that so please believe me."

'Someone that powerful is my hero?'

"Seriously when I talked to that guy I was pissed off! Even if he's still kind and cares for his friends and family everything about him just pisses me off! But I guess that's just every sore loser, but Chang'e... Remember that even if he save you and even if he's that strong there is still something that destroy your hero and your relationship with him... Keep that in mind okay?"

"Sure..." Even if what he said might be false Chang'e was still happy that there might be someone that'll save her from this hell.

"Now that my story ends, do you have any question perhaps? The only question you can ask though is something unrelated to that guy because he just pisses me off."

"Ohh..." Chang'e was disappointed a bit from what the man said, because after hearing everything her hero did, she was curious about the man that'll save her.

What is he like? What are his appearances? What does he likes? What his favorite food are? Who his family are? What's his name? And also, if he have a love interest.

That last question made Chang;e flustered but let it go immediately because the mysterious man declined to tell something about her hero. "Then I'm curious... hat is your name?"

"Nope, can't tell that"

"Okay... Then why are you telling me this and why are you helping me calm down?"

"..." The man was silenced at Chang'e's question, he scratched his head and let out a deep sigh. "Because it's my duty..."

"Your duty?"

"My duty is to help you, I know that you might not forgive m because me and the other Gods have disowned you-"

"No... I forgive you...'

The man became quiet from what Chang'e said. "Sorry... You wouldn't understand, this is why I don't want to reveal my identity to you, because I know you'll regret saying that..."

Chang'e was speechless from what the man said, she knew that she was right. There was other Gods that just didn't mind her and was just insulting but she didn't mind them which is why she can easily forgive them, but there are other like Xihe who planned her downfall and the Jade Emperor who didn't listened to her explanation are someone she cannot forgive.

"You can still keep asking me, don't worry about limiting it to one."

"Okay... Then I want to know, why are you coming everytime 40,000 years have passed?"

The man smiled happily when she asked that. "Glad you asked, did you know that four is an unlucky number in our country?"

"No..."

"That would make sense because you were imprisoned when Chinese characters aren't still a thing, then.... *Cough* In the characters the number four has the same sound with other words? Sì is what four sounds like and the word die is pronounced as Si. Which is why I always return when that four number comes."

"What do you-

The man stood up in joy and smiled happily. "Chang'e, as the Chinese Goddess of the Moon, the one who drank the Elixir of Immortality, the one who killed nine of the ten suns of Xihe, and the young maiden who was betrayed by her fellow Gods and is now waiting for a hero to save her from this hell... I want you to die for me."
