Bet on her

'This girl is very daring.' He looked at her with astonishment and laughed. 'Not afraid to say her mind I see...or could it be because she's yet to know the kind of person I am?' he wondered. The funniest part is that he couldn't even be angry with her.

The people that know who he is dared not talk to him in such a manner, except for his brothers, and his mom who was a military nurse. Even his superiors dreaded him back when he was with the army, and they still dread him, even now that he has retired.

Most women he's been with were the docile, submissive, and ready to please scaredy cats type, including the ones that are military-like him. 

No matter how he tried to make them feel comfortable with him and be themselves, it just doesn't work. They are just too pretentious, hiding who they are behind the facade of the love and respect they claimed to have for him. He finds that kind of attitude very boring.

'...but this one right here is different, just freestyling on me anyhow she likes' he chuckled with amusement. 

Abby smiled sweetly back at him, saying... "you and I know you're cuckoo, Paul. You don't have to act surprised cos I simply said the truth.''

She looked out the car window then and saw a mini-mart

"Stop! Stop the car!...over there!" She pointed at the mart. 

He slowed the car to a stop and parked at the front of the mart.

"Excuse me while I quickly get some stuff...be right back!" 

"What are you getting?"

"Food, I don't want to die of hunger while in your house...and maybe some groceries for you, you know to teach you the importance and benefits of having food at home" she smiled at him again before stepping out of the car.

As soon as she alighted, he quickly placed a conference call to the twins. They had all gone to his place directly from the club the previous night. He was sure they'd still be at his place since they weren't expecting him to come back home with her.

The twins were playing premier league on Tunde's newly acquired FIFA 20 game when they got his call. They both put their gamepads aside and reached for their phones simultaneously.

Tunde: [You guys out of my house yet?]

Mide: [still waiting for the gist and my winnings]

Lekan: [how's the pussy conquest going?]

Tunde: [Y'all get the fuck outta my house right now, and please tidy up before leaving...we're coming over]

Lekan: [we!?...you bringing her over to your place!?] He asked unbelievably.

Tunde: [well yes...or would you rather I bring her over to your place?]

Lekan; [idiot! You know I didn't mean it in that context; what happened to the old rule of never bringing a woman over to your house for security purposes?] 

Mide: [outta the window I guess. Now I'm one million nairas richer"] he said with a whopping sound, leaning back and feeling very comfortable on the X Rocker gaming chair.

Tunde: ["not so fast fool!...the ends justify the means...as long as I tap that, where it happens doesn't matter alright?"]

Mide: ["bro you still don't see it do you?...and you're still gonna keep lying to yourself until it hit you smack in the face?"]

Lekan: [Common man let him be...he knows what he's doing. You know what you're doing right man?" He said, asking Tunde as if he's no longer confident in his brother's power of seduction.

Tunde: ["chill man!... I got this, okay. Trust me."]

Mide: ["yeah right...attention please! Just making sure we're still on track here. The rule is you sleep with her and don't get emotionally involved, you don't ever see her again after today?"]

Tunde: ["yeah!...tap and not linger...gotta go! Tidy up the place before leaving...call you fellas later."]

"Fool is biting more than he could chew. He's slowly crossing over to what he dreaded the most...how can he not see that!?" Mide asked seriously, shaking his head.

"This is going to be very interesting. Still finding it difficult to believe, that my brother, Olatunde Beckley, The Hawk himself, would one day bite more than he could chew!" Lekan laughed dryly with disbelief.

"Whatever, get my money ready is all I know cos I'm sure winning this bet."

As soon as he disconnected his call with his brothers, he made a call to Shegz, his driver cum bodyguard.

Shegz: [Sir!]

Tunde: [lemme know as soon as my brothers leave]

Shegz: [will do sir!]

'I'm very sure I'll get her out of my system as soon as I fuck her' he muttered to himself. 'Having relationships and being committed to a particular woman is headache and time-consuming. 

Why do I need to be committed to one woman when I can have varieties of them? Mide is wrong about me and I'm gonna prove him wrong.'
