Ling Tian Takes on a Sect Mission

Ling Tian went back to his Nascent Soul body and saved the True Immortal body for later. If the body did not match his needs, he could always change it however he liked.

After the Evil Blood Sect was exterminated and only a few disciples escaped, the Immortal Sword Sect ransacked their land and treasure.

All the crops, pills, weapons, treasures, and even materials from buildings were extracted. The evil things from the Evil Blood Sect were handed over to the Martial Arts Alliance, an alliance of all the righteous sects for the study of how to counter it and extermination.

The sect handed out rewards depending on the amount of War Merit Points and the number of kills you scored.

There were valuable pills, weapons, and treasures handed out, some came from the sect and the others from the Evil Blood Sect's resources.

Ling Tian did not get any resources from the war because he did not "participate". It was to be expected though since he was only at the 9th stage of Nascent Soul.

Elder Kongjian came back all healed up after he used the precious resources of the Evil Blood Sect and the Immortal Sword Sect to recover.

"Ling Tian, although you did not get any resources from the war, you can still get resources from doing sect missions. I can sense that you can fend off an early-stage Spirit Evolution cultivator and escape, hence, I allow you to go!" Elder Kongjian patted Ling Tian's shoulder.

"Rest assured, Master. I will return safely." Ling Tian assured Elder Kongjian.

Ling Tian left the hutted area and headed towards the Sect Mission Pagoda on his flying sword.

Once he arrived, he went inside and there were many tables with many rows of different missions displayed on them.

The list of missions included slaying demonic beasts, gathering herbs, escorts, bodyguards, auxiliary missions like alchemy commissions, and more.

The tablets also listed different difficulties and required cultivation to take them.

"What should I take?" Ling Tian pondered. He wanted a mission that was fun and wanted others to see the spectacle.

He browsed around through the different tables and thought hard.

He walked up to the counter where a beautiful young lady with a seductive librarian's look had glasses and blonde hair.

Many young masters wanted her but she was an elder's disciple and it was forbidden to disrespect a disciple of an elder unnecessarily. All they could do was stare and some even came here frequently without even taking missions just to look at her.

"I would like to take this mission." Ling Tian walked up to the counter and announced to her when his turn in line was open.

She looked up and read the mission on the tablet, and then observed Ling Tian's cultivation which was at the Nascent Soul 9th stage, and proceeded to say, "You are qualified. Take this Immortal Sword Sect mission token and bring it with you to the meetup location."

Ling Tian walked away after taking the token and walked outside the Sect Mission Pagoda, not knowing that after he left, the young lady was blushing and her face a crimson red.

"Why do I feel so hot and flustered from that young man?" She thought while looking down embarrassingly.

All the young men that were looking were suddenly angered and jealous when they noticed the look and flustered face she made after Ling Tian left.

'He's so done for!' They all thought.

Of course, they were in for a rough time after they would challenge him after he came back from his sect mission...
