Chapter II

Ethan knew that he's going to die. But he wanted to live. Ethan's body automatically moved and dodged the bullet shot.

"Darn it" The investigator  slapped the gun against his thighs in rage. Ethan ran to the kitchen to grab a knife . He got hold of one. He was amazed by his speed , he was never this fast. What could have possibly happened. One of the investigators choked him.

"Now" he ordered. By that time Ethan stabbed his stomach.

"Oh my" he screamed holding his stomach. "I guess we can't go easy on him, get the lighting gun". There were five of them in total, and three of them took out a chip from their pockets and it turned to a huge gun which was cylindrical and didn't have a gun like look. It's muzzle and barrel were huge.

"This can generate lightning now die" one of them laughed. They activated it . This was it, Ethan didn't know what to do. He was locked in the centre between five people who wanted to kill him. When the cops/ investigators activated the gun and aimed at him, Ethan released purple flames , his vision blurred out and he fell down unconscious. When he woke up he was carried by a boy with caramel brown hair on his shoulders.

"You were amazing" He said and smiled. His eyes were flaming yellow. Ethan shaked his legs trying to escape from the caramel hair boy's arms. They were in a dark room his eyes lit up his face.

"who are you" Ethan yelled.

"shh creating a portal takes a while  and they are already here" He says.

"Stay still"

"What are you talking about , just leave me alone" Tears roll out of Ethan's eyes.

"Stop crying, I know how it feels" Shadows cover the boy's face. The curtains change colours and Sirin sounds fill the place.

"Everyone evacuate we are going to explode this place"

"One A class and one S class".

"Are we going to die ?"Ethan asks helplessly.

"We might , just calm down" The boy says. His eyes were graceful and had no fear of death. Which eased Ethan's fear. A huge portal appears.

"Everyone stand away , exploding in 3..."

"Get ready" he whispers , "and go"

"...2,1"

Ethan was in a whole new world.

"I'm alive"Ethan whispers. The brown haired boy smiles at him, his eyes went from flaming red to crystal blue. "Indeed, and oh my name is Landon"He says as he slowly let Ethan slip though his hand. Ethan didn't seem to be paying attention.

"ahhhh... I want to kill them every single one of them" Ethan screams in agony as he kneels to the ground on the green grass.

"You killed them all, your purple flame killed all of them in a single shot, thanks to my backup magic you were able to move that fast and dorge all the bullet shots."

"Backup....magic ?"

"I'm a support enchanter"

"I don't get anything your saying". Ethan says exhausted.

"In other words I can enchant an object to speed it up twice to a hundred times than its actual speed."

'Everything happened too fast .. I ... I .." Ethan fell to the ground in exhaustion.

"Hey" Landon grabbed hold of his neck. "You need rest , you are a human being after all". Landon dabbed Ethan's forhead. All Ethan could see in his eyes was kindness as pure as diamond. Etha somehow gets  up.

"Follow me" Landon says. They walk till a cliff. From there was a beautiful city which had buildings that looked like ones from fairytales. Ranging from black to white colours. Behind it were huge mountains. The buildings looked like witch houses and cottages.   Everything was enclosed within a wall.

"The sky... It's blue" Ethan looks at Landon in surprise. "It's beautiful" He says.

"The world you live in is not the same right ?" Landon asks Ethan.

"Trees , what are trees doing outside ? weren't they grown in artificial plants? "

"Your world is hundred years ahead of this relam, this is how the sky looked like hundred years back" Ethan smiled. "There's a myth that says the skies got darker and darker overtime because of a curse... Well ..I don't know much about this but there's a person, my friend, she's really good at this". Ethan kneels down again "I lost them" He whispers. "I fkin lost them". Memories of his mother and Bianca flashes Ethan's mind making him unable to process anything. "I guess I have to carry you again". Landon speeds up and grabs Ethan's stomach and throws him on his shoulder. "My mission is to take you to IgKnight ,so come with me"

"Ig ...Nite ?" Ethan asks. In no time they reach the place, Thanks to Landon's 4x Speed enchantment. It looked like a huge magical castle mad of stone and it's walls had alge on them. It looked creepy but magical. Landon stood before a huge Steel gate.

"This is IgKnight , the place for training magic abilities , more like your schools and universities". Landon looks at Ethan who doesn't respond. He was sleeping in his shoulder. "Aw man , your indeed really exhausted" Landon passes through the gate and knocks the enormous wooden door. It opens up revealing a huge hallway. The lights were golden and the floor was marble in front of it was a huge statue.

"Got any offerings ?" A bulky man with jet black hair tied to a small pony tail walks in. "Master..." Landon acknowledged as he looked at Ethan who was sleeping on his shoulder.

"I'm so proud of you Landon" The bulky man says as he pats Landon's shoulder. "Put him to rest in chamber number forty four", he says. Landon follows his order and makes Ethan lie down on the bed.

In his dreams was a girl with shimmering eyes. He couldn't capture her features but she looked beautiful. She was lying next to him on the same bed. She stretched her hand to the ceiling. Her full arm had no clothing piece. She was probably naked , probably not.

"Hey , Ethan are we sinners ?" She asked , her eyes twinkling.

"Ethan ...?" Before Ethan could explain anything the whole house was on fire , she was burnt down along with him.

Ethan woke up in terror.

"The Amulet , it's glowing , what could he have possibly foreseen ?" A girl with long blonde hair asked
