Chapter III

"Who are you and where am I ?" Ethan asks, his eyes widened. "Where am I" He screams. "Calm down" The blonde girl tries to calm him down.

"No just leave me alone" He pushes her aside and starts running.

"Landon he's getting away" she calls out.

"Annie, are you ok ?" Landon runs in lifting her.

"Im alright get him Landon he's trying to escape with my Amulet"

"He doens't even know what he's doing right now , you can't expect him to be stable. Anyway I'll get him" He says and runs after him.Landon was dressed in blank full and  shirt. His coller covered his chin.He wore a light brown coat lined with rabbit fur.His bottoms were pain black and had a few pockets for holding wepons in brown. He always carried a bag on his shoulder.

"2X Speed" he enchanted his shoes to run faster and reached out to Ethan who was running towards a door.

"Don't go there" He threw Ethan on the floor.

"what's happening here" A lean , tall man with spectacles stood before them. He wore a robe which had designs of moons and stars on it. He looked like a middle aged man with salt and pepper hair.

"Never enter this door I tell you" He warned them.

"I apologise Mr.Holland" he bowed down conveying his apology.

"Be careful next time"Mr.Holland warned him. There were books all around the place.

"What is this place" Ethan gazed.

"This is the library" Landon helped him get up.

"Library , never heard of such things before , who are you ,where am I ,I want to get the shit out of here".

"Take him to Adam , only he can handle this brat."

"Got it". Landon carries Ethan as he tries to slip out of his hand.

"Ethan stay still" he says and they reach a person who was instructing a bunch of boys. They were outside the building. It had a huge fountain in between with grass on either side leaving space  for a hundred children holding hands and walking through. The pathway was covered with stainless marble floor. The man immidiately stops instructing the boys. "So he finally decided to wake up"Adam lauged. He had jet black hair tied to a pony tail. Was hansome and looked gentle.

"Mr. River"

"What's happening here"Ethan screamed.

"You are about to take tests and I'm going to be your instructor, my name is Adam River and you are ?"

"Please leave me alone I wanna kill them every single one of them" Ethan yelled as he slips out of Landon's hand and punches his stomach.

"This bastard has ruined everything. I want to get the fuck out of here" Ethan looses control.

"Forgive him Mr. River, he's not mentally stable right now because of his loss" Landon pleads holding his stomach.

"I get it , but you can't Just let him run around and being rude to people"

"I'll try to help him"

"Landon, let kindness not hinder his judgement".

Adam throws him to the floor.

"Into the dungeons" he orders.

Few men come in to grab Ethan.

"Pls don't do that to him" Landon beggs.

"Landon , that's enough. His main intention is to get out of this place and if we do that , no one knows what might happen to his life. Neither do I have patience to handle him. In a few days he will get alright so calm down."

Ethan screams "Let me go"

The men on either side were fully covered with armour. They take him down to a basement and lock him in a dongeon.

"Why am I imprisoned like this ?"Ethan's hazel eyes were despirate to know what's going in and around. He bangs the steel door of the dongeon but gets no reply. Not knowing what to do he sits down and leans on the bed. The dungeon was a decent place and it had no windows . Just a small opening in the steel door. Ethan was despirate to get out. He used his shoulders to bang the door Nothing worked. At night he was cold , but he was amazed that he didn't feel hungry or weak even though he was given no food. Ethan was sleepless , crying over his family's loss. He always stared at the Amulet on his neck. A month passed by in the dungeon.

"Hey can you hear me" It was Landon's voice.

"I just now got the permission to come and visit you , may I come in ?" He asked politely.

"Sure" Ethan replied.

Landon slowly creeked open the door.

"Ah well I'm sorry about what happened to you I ---" before he could complete his sentence Ethan grabbed his bag pushed him down and ran away. Landon got hit hard on his head. He fainted because of pain. Ethan ran till he reached the exit. there were guards on either side of it. He didn't know how to get past them. He digged into Landon's bag. It had a book. Ethan read a verse from it he felt shock in his legs. Ethan cried out of pain and this alerted the guards in the entrance. "Oh shit" Ethan ran towards the exit testing his luck. He was able to run three times faster than his average speed. The guards couldn't catch up with him. He made it out and ran into the woods to hide himself. It was dark and dense. It gave him dark vibes. He was growing hungry. He couldn't run any futher.

He stopped in the woods and knelt down next to a tree and cried.

"God ? Why me? what did I do to deserve this? I lost them all. My sister , My parents. What hope do I have now. I don't even know my purpose of living. This place . These people I don't understand any of this. The sky is changing colour from blue to black. And there are trees all around. I'm scared. I'm really... Scared". He was expressing his agony hate and fear. He screamed out to lighten his heart and started crying like never before. Suddenly he felt peace someone covered his eyes. That person smelt like lillies. It eased his ache a little.

"Oh poor soul" It was a soft voice of a woman."let you not cry anymore" she says.
